Stopped in while waiting for Sears to change my flat tire, and it was great! The menu had a bunch of options. Nicole was our server and she was attentive and didn’t hover. The service was quick and the food was hot and delicious. We split the guacamole and the appetizer sampler and I’m so full! We didn’t get the table side guac but we saw it at a neighboring table and it looked amazing. I would recommend to a friend.

Soooo disappointed! I used to come here all the time when I worked in Warwick and it was great, so I decided to stop in while Xmas shopping. On a Friday night it was dead and I was surprised because it never used to be. Walked to our table(trying not to slip on the greasy floor) and sat at our sticky table. Opened our menu to decide what to get and old food fell out of it — the menu was gross with food stuck all over it. — this is when I should have left… 15 minutes later we are given water and asked what we want to drink. Order a frozen margarita and it comes out 25 minutes later. Couldn’t even drink it because it was freezer burnt and actually burned as it went down. The waitress said there was something wrong with the machine and it took 25 minutes for it to drip out into the glass — gross. I stuck with the water. Another 30 minutes and our food came — gross. The rice was chewy with some very hard spots??? I won’t even go into the rest but we decided it was time to go… Another 15 minutes and we got the check. The waitress was super nice and apologetic but clearly overwhelmed. Her uniform was filthy and they had no bus boys so waitresses were clearing tables. The two tables next to us went an hour without being cleared and then they cleared them quick to seat a large family and never even washed them. POORPOORPOORMANAGEMENTHASRUNTHISPLACEINTOTHEGROUND. I remember when the old management would come around to each table and see how everything was, but we never saw anyone other than the poor overwhelmed waitresses. Sadly disappointed this used to be one of my favorite places…

For a chain restaurant, this place is pretty good! Prices are reasonable & the portion sizes are great. You also get unlimited salsa & chips as a starter… yes! Food is tasty overall. Not 100% authentic, but good. I have to admit, I really don’t like their ground beef, so I usually pick chicken for my protein. They have a kid friendly menu; necessary for me. And, descent drinks that are very affordable; makes mama happy If they were closer, we’d probably go more often.

I popped in for a quick lunch while shopping along route 2 with my daughter. I’m giving this one star for the warm chips and the adorable waitress. While she was clearly overwhelmed(apron covered in food, scurrying from table to table, and a long wait for service) she was pleasant. I ordered the chimichenga which was undercooked and soggy and my daughter ordered the grilled mahi tacos which were clearly grilled, frozen, and reheated. Absolutely disgusting! As you can see by my pics, there was a crust around the beans… not sure what that means but I’ve never seen that before(and the thought of it now is making me sick). I also had to ask for another fork because there were remnants of old food on mine. We had water and lemonade to drink. To the other reviews I can only say that everything looks, and tastes, better after a few cocktails. I can honestly say that this was the worst meal I have ever had, hands down. I will never go back. The meal cost me $ 40 with a tip. Outrageous! I’ve had frozen dinners that were better than that.

I don’t know who these reviewers are comparing this place to Taco Bell but they need to expand their culinary horizons a little. Our server was very prompt and our food came out quickly and exactly as we ordered it. Is it genuine Mexican? No. It’s very good tex-mex and just the right amount of spicy for people who aren’t super hot food fans. Didn’t drink which is what a lot of people like about this place but I’m sure it was very good. I’d definitely come back here again.

The margaritas and service were great, but the food was subpar. Very under seasoned. It is not authentic Mexican cuisine by any stretch, but the food was good/okay, yet I felt it was very pricey for what you get. My DH commented that, «the black beans seemed basically right out the can, and wondered if they had any GOYA in the back! We are not pressed to return soon unless it’s «Happy Hour».

Ordered my food to go at 4:15 they told me it would be ready in about 20 min. I arrived at the restaurant and waited in the to go area at about 4:35. At least 4 crew members walked by me not one even acknowledged that I was in the building. I continued to wait and was finally asked if anyone was helping me at 4:55. I said no and the crew member said he would grab someone. No one showed up. I finally left after waiting 25 min What a joke

I’ve only been to the bar at OTB, but I have to say the service by the bartenders is great! Super friendly, prompt, personably & fun!

Pricey for what you get. Can’t agree more with a reviewer below who said taco bell is better for less money. All of the dishes basically have some beans and rice with small portion of meat that you order. Ends up that everything tastes similar. The fajita includes only 3 little tortilla. And we were seated right next to the to-go pick up station and the phone was ringing really loud the entire time I was there and no one barely picked up. Lower the volume or have someone to answer the phone right away. So annoying. The only part that I like about dining in here was the free chips and tasty salsa. The rest of the meal tastes fine but beware, the pictures on the menu looks nothing like the actual food you get.

I haven’t been to this restaurant in over 13 years because they don’t have one in the Sarasota area where I live. I was so excited to eat there. I had the classic burrito with extra chili con carne sauce. It was just how I remembered it. Awesome! The waitress was great also. I liked how the salsa tasted. It had a little bite to it too! I also mixed it into the Spanish rice.

I’m not a huge chain restaurant fan and this place brings home the point why. Overpriced Americanized Mexican food which is sub par. It’s not the cleanest of establishments. Would it kill you to at least wipe down the menus. It’s almost as if the clean these things with the left over food on people’s plates, they where absolutely disgusting. I used a napkin to turn the pages. The bar staff wasn’t exactly on point either. They were not fast friendly or efficient. I probably won’t return.

I had lunch here, and the restaurant wasn’t busy. The food was good, but the service needs improvement. I was seated and wasn’t given any utensils. I had to ask for it after my food arrived. It took a while for someone to give me the check and to pick up the check(maybe they didn’t want my money that badly). My carne asada was good. The salsa and chips were delicious… the chips were big and the salsa had a nice spicy kick to it.

Yes, I gave this place 3 stars. Here’s why: If you know what you’re getting — Americanized Mexican food a la Chili’s — it’s not bad. Of course if you were comparing it to authentic Mexican food it would be sorely lacking but I don’t think anyone goes to OTB expecting authenticity. Then again my mom won’t eat at Chili’s because she«doesn’t like Mexican» so maybe I’m wrong. Anyway, our family had lunch here recently and it was fine. We ordered guacamole to go along with our chips and it was better than I expected. My boys ordered the nachos off the kids menu and it was a really good value. It was a large serving of the chips they serve at the table smothered with cheese. They added chicken at my son’s request. I’d recently been to a chain restaurant and my son ordered«nachos» which were a bag of Doritos with toppings. Needless to say I thought the OTB nachos were a great alternative. My husband had a bowl that was obviously inspired from some other joints but he liked it. I had the chicken enchiladas. They tasted ok but there was way too much sauce. The rice and beans were fine, nothing special. The service was attentive so no complaints there. All in all it was a slightly better than average experience with a «Mexican» chain restaurant.

Only gave it one star cause I had too. Just go to taco bell for ¼ the price. The only good thing about this place was the service

Below average Americanized Mexican food. I had heard good things about this place so I went to check it out, even though I’m not a huge fan of chain restaurants. The margaritas were pretty good, even the standard house margaritas. Light, refreshing and strong. Their table salsa with chips are also very good. It’s a nice chunky salsa with a lot of flavor and just a little kick. However, the rest of the experience was not so great. We ordered the 3-alarm cheese dip and it was barely spicy. The cheese had a nice blend and flavor, but the group I was with are huge into really spicy food so we were left disappointed. I ordered the enchiladas suizas, and when it arrived, wished I had gotten the carne asada like everyone else. The enchiladas were totally bland, as was the accommodating rice. I’d recently had a frozen microwave meal of this same dish and it was better than what they served me. I ate a few bites and I was all set. It was barely palatable. The beans were fine, but you can’t really mess up beans. Those steaks were very good but the accompanying melted garlic butter tasted off and overly salty; everybody set theirs aside. I might be back, but definitely not for enchiladas.

I actually like this place. I mean it’s not totally Mexican more Americanized then traditional I feel but food is always good when I come. Something’s aren’t made fresh you can tell but for me it’s all about their chips and spicy salsa that’s on point. Not to think or watery just right with warm tortilla chips. The burritos are packed your choice of refried beans or black beans on side, actually most of their dishes come with that choice. I like their cheese sauce but not there red type marina sauce. The sampler is good can definitely be split between 3 people for a few bites. I do have a soft spot when places have a decent kids menu for for 2.5yr old. Makes momma a happy camper when he can pick something yummy too. Also a plus a stellar bar and liquor menu. Try the corona-Rita. Literally a corona poured slowly into a margarita. Booths are spacious and table chairs aren’t bad either. Waitresses are hit or miss and sometimes have you waiting around for your check but other then that seem attentive. There is an outdoor patio for summer/spring seating but be wary it faces a parking lot and highway so not a pretty view but fresh air at least.

I decided that I needed something a bit different after being in the hotel for so long and this place was close by. I noticed that they had happy hour food and drinks at the bar so decided to sit at the bar and order mini tacos/flautas for $ 3 each(you get 3 tacos &4 flautas) and a Dos XX for $ 3 too. They also provide plenty of free chips and salsa which make it even better. It’s not the traditional Mexican that I would have enjoyed getting, but it definitely hit the spot and that’s all that mattered at that time. The place was nice and clean, the bartender was right there when I walked in, even though the bar area was busy and she explained the happy hour specials to me. I would definitely come back here again, as it is Mexican food(one of my favs) and the price is right for happy hour(can’t go wrong w/$ 3 beer and $ 3 happy apps).

This specific on the border was a little abnormal — the service seems to be really struggling, but the food was decent so it pulled me back to 3 stars. The waitress was horrible to our table but nice to the table next to ours — we didn’t have complicated orders or anything but she kept rolling her eyes. Not only that, we had to wait for 20 minutes for her to come back with menus, waited 30 minutes for our guacamole… The guacamole live was delicious. Needed some more salt, lime, maybe some Olive oil though. The frozen marg was great! I ordered the tres chicken enchiladas which were very cheesy but that’s why I ordered it tonight: p So all in all, food was decent when it came. Service really needs some work. We were trying to be over the top nice to our waitress to see if she would even pick up her mood for us. Nothing. And id like to think we’re Pretty likable people!

This was SO much better than I expected. We had a few gift cards to Chilis, which can also be used here. We decided to give On the Border a try. It was fairly busy for lunch on Presidents Day and we opted to sit in the bar area, which was a bit quieter. I really liked the décor and the bar area was fairly clean. Kayla was our waitress and she was great. Super attentive and also gave me meal and drink suggestions when I asked. The complimentary warm chips and salsa were great. We ordered the«guacamole live», which a normal place would call tableside guacamole, without the trademark. It was delicious. I had two different margaritas and also enjoyed them. For my meal I ordered the chicken fajita salad. It was larger than I expected. I was brought a salad with a sizzling platter of fajita chicken. I’ve had fajita salads at plenty of places and have never received a sizzling platter on the side before. I was impressed. My husbands had the fish tacos, which he thought were OK, but he wasn’t raving over them. Obviously this is «Americanized» Mexican food. For what it is though, it’s not bad. Overall, I would return.
