I was looking for a new hair stylist and read great reviews about Astoria here on Unilocal.Christina was able to squeeze me in for color and cut and I truly appreciated it. Christina is excellent! I absolutely love my haircut and the color was a perfect match! The salon is warm and inviting with a friendly staff. The owner, Lori came over to me and introduced herself, which I thought was so nice. The salon has its own line of hair products, which work beautifully! My next appointment is already booked! It took me years to find a salon I love and this is it!

I was able to squeeze into an appointment in a pinch, so that was very kind of them. When I arrived I didn’t know what to expect but they greeted me so kindly. I felt like I went to a friend’s house to get my hair done, that’s how comfortable the owner and her staff made me feel. My hairstylist was fun and professional and really took the time to talk through what I wanted which I was grateful for. She took my recent hair loss into consideration and modified her dye formula so it didn’t further damage my weak hair. I appreciated the individual attention and effort and will definitely be going back again! I will also be recommending them to others.

The folks here are amazing. The were able to take my fiancé in last minute and did an awesome job on her hair and makeup for our friend’s wedding. Thanks you so much girls for making my lady’s day!

I have been going to Lori for about 5 years. I always say she has «magic hands.» I go for a blow out every week. My hair lasts and no one can make it stay the way Lori does. She is always willing to fit me. The salon is friendly and welcoming and the prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is upbeat and I always walk out feeling good. There are spa services available as well. Great place to go!

Astoria Salon is the best salon I have been to in Rhode Island. Lori is the owner, and she is my stylist. The salon isn’t big, but it is definitely full of a lot of talented ladies, and they make their small space work well for them. They offer regular salon services and there is also a spa upstairs where they do facials, massages, and waxing. It has a very cheerful feel to it, and Lori made me feel like we had been friends for years at my very first appointment. She transformed me from boring, long frizzy hair, to a cute stylish trendy cut, which was very flattering. She listened to what I wanted, and then gave her opinion on what she thought would be better for me and my hair type.
I have had several appointments with Lori and she is always consistent with her work, and her customer service and hospitality. She has even made time to cut my sons’ hair and allowed them to help water her plants while she cut them as a distraction. They are difficult toddlers and she managed to get them to cooperate for their hair cuts. I truly believe there isn’t anything Lori can’t do.
