I’ve been into this store once, I will not go in again. The prices are ridiculous. Also the main reason is hearing the dogs that get groom whimper in the back and it is heart breaking ! Once I was next door and I heard a doggie crying and barking and then a second latter whimpering as if the poor dog got hit. WILL NOT BE GOING THERE ! I wouldn’t advise anyone to bring their animals there to get groomed !

We will *always* buy our dog food here!
Almost 10 years ago we had an Airedale, Willy, who was excessively (even for an Airedale) determined to play with *this* toy, stick, etc. We brought the dog and problem to Denise. We found her because we suspected the problem was food-​related and she carried all of the brands that appeared to be well made, and would be unbiased among them.
She agreed that it was likely the food, looked at the current and previous food components, and delivered an amazing impromptu lecture on canine nutrition. We have enough background in human nutrition to be able to understand and appreciate the differences as she described them. She suspected an allergy and suggested a few-​constituent dog food to try to avoid whatever the dog was responding to – saying that he would quickly be better or worse, depending on whether we avoided the problem food. He was much better the next day.
After a few days we realized that we still had a smaller problem: reduced problem behavior, but some still there. We went back and Denise recommended an enzyme supplement. She said that while the food contained enzymes, some dogs needed more. He did. Occasionally, over the following years we ran out of the enzymes for a few days and Willy’s behavior quickly reverted — and stopped when he ate the enzymes. We made sure we didn’t run out.
As Willy aged he contracted cancer. Denise helped us keep him healthy through the treatment and, when the end was near, helped us find food that he would eat. (He was always more interested in play than food.) She is now helping us with a similar situation with a standard poodle.
Yes, Denise *is* very damn entertaining, as her web site describes her, but her knowledge and kindness are just as apparent.

Brought my dog in for grooming and it was a great experience all around. First, I called on a Saturday and they were able to give me an appointment for Sunday. Second, the place is easy to get to, neat and tidy and very comfortable. And finally, the cut for my dog was exactly what I wanted. This poor guy has been looking ridiculous since I got him 4 years ago. FINALLY we found someone who can do the job. Thanks Amanda!

Today, we live in an era where small businesses are called «start-​ups,» and entrepreneurs pick the names of their businesses based on URL availability and potential for keywords & SEO. If someone were going to open a pet store today it might be called
, Petstr
or Poochify.
No so very long ago… in a simpler time – back in the 20^th Century – many small business owners selected a name for their business with a goal of optimizing their placement in a giant phonebook. Businesses with names like «A Reliable Plumber,» «Always Amazing Wedding DJ,» and «All About Pets» were born to appear at the beginning of an alphabetized list.
If you’re looking for quality pet food (not that cheap Purina crap that will give your dog cancer) look no further than All About Pets. If you’re looking for a quality grooming experience (Denise is always willing to try and squeeze in an appointment for my dog), head over to All About Pets. If you want to pick up some disgusting looking chicken feet chew toys, All About Pets has you covered. If you want to support a local business that understands the importance of a name that starts with A… you know the drill.
If you want a puppy mill; a giant warehouse filled to the rafters with cheap, disposable junk and staffed by pimply high school kids who can’t wait to clock out, head over to one of the big box pet stores.

Guys. this place is the ONLY PLACE I’D EVER BUY MY AMPHIBIANS FROM. It’s RIDICULOUSLY difficult for any amphibian owner to find a retailer or contact that they can trust to provide quality in health with amphibians. But alas, I came across this gem.
Some information on the species of amphibian that I purchase from this store: The White’s Tree Frog is a very large frog & they have a lifespan of 20 years.
Anyway, back to my review:
I’ve been a customer of theirs since August 2011. I bought my first White’s Tree Frog from them then. YES its much more *expensive* than Petco or Petsmart, but supporting those stores with your business consequently supports using animals as pure monetary gain. The frogs at other stores are months old, if that much! Wonder why? They don’t last long in lifespan in that environment. They keep too many in one tank.
At All About Pets they usually have 1 – 2 frogs in a tank. They’re vibrant & healthy.
I have 2 White’s Tree Frogs from this store & have *never* (yes, never) had any problems with their health. Amphibians are incredibly difficult to take care of & must have specific needs met, with low stress environments.
The one White’s Tree Frog Tree Frog that I purchased from a well known NON-​CHAIN reptile store in RI passed away after 4 months & seemed ‘ill’ for much of his short life. I don’t blame anybody for that but I know I won’t be purchasing reptiles or amphibians from any other store but All About Pets.
Every individual working here CARES. From the owner to the two other employees that I’ve met. all care. I love seeing Stump, the cat with the gorgeous eyes, and any visiting dogs — ‘employees’ or not.
If you want to see an animal or ask questions. DO SO! I’ve learned ALOT from the employees & owner, about animals I’ve never known much about to animals that I thought I knew everything about!
They have specialty items such as refrigerated & fresh food for canines & felines… & crickets for reptile/​amphibian owners. I’m not sure whether they have ‘feeder mice’ (refrigerated or alive) but I wouldn’t be surprised if they did. They also hold a wide variety of organic food/​toys/​treats & items (such as treats for animals with special needs, like allergies & even natural bone/​antler toys). If this store doesn’t have an item when you’re there. ASK. Maybe they’re reordering it or know a store that does carry a specific item!
Just go in. Do it. I haven’t even covered a fraction of what this gem offers.
***I’m rating 5 stars because I will ALWAYS pay higher prices for IMPECCABLE quality when it concerns the health of my animals or family (same thing!). Just wanted to give a heads up!

This is a small, limited pet store in the strip mall near the Airport, the one with the Staples in it. I buy all my pet food from this place, you know why? They have a good selection of quality cat and dog food if you care about the quality of your pet’s food. I’m no snob about my own food but I’m nuts about my pets’ food. That’s because they have to put up with my choices and can’t pet-​speak-​up back to me. So, I make sure I purchase the best I can for them… also they live longer and enjoy healthier lives. This store has all the best brands, at the right prices, that focus on quality protein, i.e. a meat source as the main protein not a plant source! The owner knows this and chooses her foods carefully for her customers. It’s a got a great little vibe and the best two hosts greet you when arrive: 1) «Owen» the pug who has free rein of the store (a real schmoozer!) and generally has some funky nail colors; and 2) the dwarf cat (forget his name now), who is a beautiful blue.
This is not a pet focused store meaning they have a bunch of random, stuffed together assortment of animals bordering on shelf fatigue, and that’s a testament to the owner’s integrity! They have your basic fish assortment, frogs, lizards, tortoise, bunnies, guinea pigs, mice, a bird, etc… and sometimes some puppies or kittens for sale. I also understand the kittens and puppies only come from locally respected breeders so purchasing one is not a major risk. The cool part: There’s a grooming center in the back which sees quite a bit of business. I like this place because it’s genuine, down to earth and the owner respects, likes animals, and knows her stuff. She actually gets pet nutrition – not just stocks food. If you’re like me and hate driving around to ensure which stores have your pet food, check this out. If you’re just in the mall and bored, stop in and check it out.
