Carniceria San Jose

This is my favorite Mexican food in Warsaw. Quesadillas are amazing, and you can’t go wrong with most things on the menu. (Not the best Lengua I’ve ever had, but I recommend anything else). Overall, it’s a great place!

We had a chicken, steak and a seasoned pork tacos with cilantro and onions. 5 stars for the chicken, 2 for the seasoned pork. Just pork rolled in taco seasoning was blah. Would like to try the carnitas but they only have it on the weekends.
Chicken burrito was big and ok, the flour tortillas couldn’t compare to the corn tortillas for the tacos. Guacamole was ok, very spicy but needs lots more garlic and lime juice. Only thing that was complete fail was refried bean, blah! Literally straight from a can.

Quality Mexican food for a great price! The service is fast and very kind/​welcoming. The atmosphere isn’t that great due to the restaurant being in the back corner of the store, but I didn’t mind it due to the incredible meal! The quesadillas are top notch, and you can’t go wrong with a burrito either. Definitely would recommend this place to someone who wants great food for a very reasonable price!

The food here can become addictive be warned! I have to confess I eat lunch here far too often each week.
Come in grab your favorite beverage and choose from the numerous choices for your tacos, burrito, quesadilla or tortas.
They will prepare it all freshly right in front of you topped the way you like it.
The fresh guacamole and pico de gallo are some of the best I have ever had.
I enjoy watching when someone new walks in and they aren’t sure what to do,
the staff will guide you through the process and make sure you are pleased and full.
If you like fresh tasty food this is the place, if you want a greasy fast food lunch go elsewhere.
On your way out it is hard not to grab some fresh baked cookies or baked goods from the cases and don’t forget this is a grocery as well, with fresh produce and butcher counter and all the rest.

We have been here twice. Each time was great. My wife had the tilapia which they picked out of the fresh fish case. never let me down.

Best Mexican in town. The quesadilla is the best, but everything is good.
Chorizo has some spice and is my favorite meat choice. About 3 tacos is good for a standard meal.

This is a hidden gem in Warsaw! It’s in the back of the store, but head to the right and grab a jarritos first… excellent selection. I usually get the grapefruit! The burritos are ginormous and the tacos are the best. My favorite is the chorizo taco. If you want a man sandwich get the torta cubana. On the weekends they offer menudo which I’ve been told by a local it cures a hangover.

After a nearly unbearable experience at Alcopulco down the street, this was a wonderful surprise.
This is the real deal. Go to the back to get yourself a real taco. (Go with the pastor) Then go buy some candies.
Watermelon with chili? No, maybe the tamarindo crayon… wait… maybe some marzipan… so many candies, so little time…
