Not even completely running. Sheesh. ;)
Docent was nice, but we spent over an hour in the lobby, talking about their very thrifty founder, and their skyping conversations with the euro-​version. Fermilab is certain to contain super secrets, as there are no fences or much security… And the tour actually bored us to the point of abandoning our tour and sneaking out the back! Deflection by docent!
Great off leash dog area– beware prolific woodticks and coyote, dog and deer poop. And occasional coyotes.

Columbia, MO
This place, another crazy physics place in Illinois (see Argonne), looks pretty neat. Unfortunately, they are pretty much closed on Sundays except you can see the great native praries they are growing. You can even go on a great little hike. What a great idea, take the unused land and let it go back to nature. Strange, that at a place that seeks to understand the minutae of the universe, there is such respect for the bigger things in life.
