This place is a dive, and I love it. It’s just the kind of place that you would expect to have good barbecue. I had the porkloin sandwich and my fiancé had the brisket sandwich. The brisket was my favorite but the pork was good, too. I’d highly recommend the cornbread casserole. It was amazing. Honestly, I could have eaten three or more servings of that alone! It’s right off the interstate, and a good stop if you are traveling and don’t want fast food. The food did come quickly, however. And lots of locals were stopping to grab takeout while we were there.

If you drove by this place without having seen any reviews, you probably wouldn’t stop, and that would be your loss. The food was excellent, and service(I’m guessing by one of the«dudes») was just as good. My only knock(and this is weak), is the beer selection. But, if you’re going there for the food, you won’t be disappointed.

Ok. This place really is amazing and authentic. Corn bread casserole is ridiculous. Super moist. Got brisket sandwich also awesome. Doesn’t look like much from the road, don’t let that fool you.

Decent small town barbecue. I had the lunch special of pulled pork nachos. Other places I’ve had barbecue nachos add baked beans so I requested my nachos with beans. Overall, exactly what I expected with one exception. The pulled pork didn’t have much smoke. It was moist, but not smokey like I’d expect from a good barbecue house. Friendly service. Slightly divey atmosphere. A worthwhile stop when driving along the interstate… especially if you want to avoid fast food restaurants.

Currently working here out of town and found this on Unilocal I got a pulled pork sandwich and a whole chicken just to have some snack stuff in the hotel room. By far the best barbecue sauce I’ve ever had I know it’s just a preference thing but I consider myself pretty picky most barbecue sauces either have to much vinegar or sugar for my liking .The pulled pork was great, I can smoke meat with the best of um and I know how hard it can be to smoke a whole chicken and have it turn out moist and these guys have figured it out. If it were not for Unilocal I would’ve drove right past this place glad I found it.

Found this place driving across the country, ready to settle for fast food due to the lack of restaurants off 70 in MO. SO glad I found this place. The pulled pork sandwich was fantastic, service was quick, and they even had a convenient take out window. I would definitely come back here next time I’m in the area.

What a great place! Ordered the pork steak today for lunch. Also ordered a half slab of ribs for splitting with my guests. The ribs were cooked to perfection with a perfect amount of smoke. The pork steak was also equally as great!

Gave it a second chance last week. Potatoes in potatoe salad not fully cooked with thin sauce. Beef brisket and pork brisket pretty much dried out. Dried out like jerky. Coleslaw just viniger type. Pretty boring. As a frequent person that eats out often and not a picky eater this place barely rates for one star. Sad to see small business not take pride in the products.

Went here based on the Unilocal reviews. Not sure what people were thinking. The waitress was not exactly welcoming. The only thing that was excellent was the brat. It had good flavor, a snap when you bit in to it and was not fatty at all. The pulled pork sandwich was chewy like calamari. The beef brisket was fatty, tough, flavorless and grey. The sauce is mediocre at best, and the strong oregano like spice is completely inappropriate. And what bbq restaurant doesn’t have sweet tea? They offered it in a bottle. Will not return to this establishment.

We tend to stop at this place on the way back to St. Louis from Kansas City. It’s right off 70, so it makes for a nice pit stop. Most recently, we got the pulled pork, brisket, baked beans, and cornbread casserole. That casserole is insanely delicious. We also got a whole smoked chicken to take home for dinner, and that was tasty as well. Definitely recommend Two Dudes.

5 stars for great roadside bbq. Smoked brisket sandwich with cornbread was unbelievable. Great baked beans as well. Taking some turkey with me for the road…

Perfect little dive. Just right. Fresh bread, tender juicy meat, kick-ass sauce. Excellent service. And a neat location really close to, but far enough away from, the interstate. Only downside: a bit more fat than I’d prefer on the brisket. Other than that: perfect.

Cool place. Great service. Great hole in wall. My husband loved this place! I thought my pulled pork was ok… With that being said I like southern BBQ not Midwestern BBQ styles. The meat was good the service was good but wasn’t a fan of sAuce. But purely personal preference and nothing g against business. Kid friendly. Service was fast and loved getting a beer I. Our long drive!

I was in town from STL for my son’s 5pm baseball game. Looking for something local, not a fast food chain(I-70 is chock full of ‘em), and maybe had take out for the game, picnic style. Bonus points for sharing well with 15-year old boys. This place was it and had it all. Menu was short, to the point. These two dudes don’t mess around. They do BBQ, straight up, and they do it well. I had the tenderloin sandwich(meaty, fresh pillowy bun), a brat(had that BBQ smoky/grill flavor), a slab, and some slaw. The ribs were a little under-done and a little toothy, but the flavor, smoke, and porkiness in all of the food I had were top notch competition-grade BBQ. The slaw is lightly sweet/vinegar german-style. And delicious. Get the family portion. Service was very friendly, they pointed me inside to the A/C to wait. And they were happy to cut the slab for me when I told them it was for a post-game snack for a bunch of teenage boys and I would have no knife at the ballpark(not a good idea these days anyway). They were a hit, by the way. In short, the ‘cue is top notch: dry-rub style, smoky, meaty, tender, good bark, fresh, and hot(temp-wise). Prices are good(actually really good for the quality). Portions are generous(not huge, but not stingy either). Will stop again and worth the drive. Don’t miss this local gem! Keep on ‘cueing, Two Dudes!

Stopped by this cool little spot on the way to a wedding in Kansas City. Cool décor outside, and not too bad inside. Our waitress was extremely friendly, and food was fast and really good. I loved the spicy sauce, and my giant pork steak was GIANT! The prices were exceptionally low for a bbq establishment.

What a lifesaver. On a short trip to CoMo I was quite close to stopping at a Wendy’s, but couldn’t find it. I stopped at this shack and ordered a massive turkey sandwich, potato salad, and Crack Bread(I think she called it corn bread.) The Crack Bread was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten, I think it was the butter and sugar that did it. Super friendly woman manning the joint called me hon/babe and I was also a fan of that.

A guy I work with brought a pile of their food to a customer site a couple of months ago and it was amazing! So much so that I timed a trip to the area just right such that it included lunch at their actual location. The first thing you notice is that their address shows up about a mile south of their actual location. Dammit, Garmin, I don’t want lunch at Casey’s! Their physical address is correct in the listing but both the GPS on my iPhone and the Garmin on my dash agreed that I was off by about a mile when I actually found the place. Turn around, go back towards the interstate and you’ll find them on the east side of the road across from the First Bank branch. Alternatively, you could roll down the window and let your nose guide you as their smoker is right out front and more than enough of an appetizer. Notes from the previous experience: the ribs stole the show! Beautiful smoke ring, great flavor, really, really meaty with the tips still attached; the pork steak looked like it belonged on one of those«how much can you shove in your pie hole» shows; pulled pork was tender and flavorful; sides were nothing to write home about. Today I had a pulled pork sandwich and their cornbread casserole. Added a diet Dr. and the total(with a generous tip) was a ten-spot. Very reasonable given the portion size and amazing flavor. One note: there was no appreciable difference in the flavor/quality/consistency/etc. between the carry-out that had an hour’s holding time and what I ate at their location.
