The best breakfast burritos in Warrenton. I get them to substitute the potatoes out and refried beans in. I like the chorizo burrito done this way, with their hot sauce(not too spicy) oh MAN are they good. My wife gets her burrito this way too, but prefers their mild sauce which she says is a little sweet. Service is friendly and polite. Can’t speak for the lunch/dinner items, haven’t had a chance to try much off the afternoon menu yet.

Great food. Our favorite place to eat some Mexican food. Staff is friendly and went out of their way to make fresh guacamole for my wife’s birthday.

Extremely dissapointed in the food. Taco bell tacos are even better than the tacos that were from here. The staff was very friendly so thats why i gave 2 stars but i was just really dissapointed in the food. I was told the one in centreville is alot better so i guess ill try that one and hope its better than this place.

Ok… it isn’t authentic Mexican… but it is good! The place was clean. The lady at the front was very friendly. I received exactly what I ordered and it was good. I do love the rice & the medium sauce the most. No complaints and I’ll go back.

Great no frills taco shop. Taco Tuesday for dollar tacos. Fresh ingredients. Wide loves the smoked brisket tacos and the chipotle wings are good as well.

The brisket taco’s are out of this world! The guac is freshly made and the queso is too delish for words. It’s a bit of a hole-in-the-wall-dive but the food is tasty, prices good, and service is always great.

Sorry Tippy’s but I just can’t make myself like the food here. My friend loves the place and has been treating herself to Tippy’s for years. I find everything to be bland, processed packaged and microwaved to order. The queso sauce is straight out of the can in flavor and 50% of the time the nacho chips are stale. Quesadillas are never fully cooked and have that floury taste. The cheese in the quesadillas is flavorless, probably some sort of imitation cheese? The kitchen always appears to be trashed and messy, food preparer does not wear gloves etc. The only item that i found to have flavor was the spicy or fiesta fries.

Myy family went in wanting some of this but none of that and can you do this. Tippy’s created exactly what we asked for. My daughter’s wings(plain/no crunch or sauce) were great and what she asked for. My son’s «double decker» that they created must have been great. He ate it all. I asked for certain things on my nachos and they created what I asked for. Now, at times, my pallet is not much wanting of the mozz they melt on the chips. It is too thick and drowns out the other flavors. S0 I have to ask for light, light cheese which is just an un-natural request for nachos. The guac is really good. overall, we’d come back. Pretty neat place.

Very expensive for the food served. Took the family on the way from NC to PA and stopped in. We enjoyed the video games and foosball table and the food came quickly. All in all it was ok, but overpriced.

I’ve wanted to check this place out for awhile due to curiosity about the reviews. First, I didn’t find it nearly as dirty or creepy inside as others said, so I’m assuming it’s been improved. I had food issues, meat kept ending up in my enchiladas and sauce but other than that it was ok. They at least fixed it both times without complaint, so I probably ended up eating two full meals by the time all was said and done. The beans were a little above average, the rice and enchiladas average. Biggest complaint was the sauce or lack there of. A nice fresh salsa or even sauce that didn’t taste like ketchup would go a long way to improving the taste of the food. They actually get an extra point for having galaga, the best game of all time. Which of course totally betrays my age, since the youngins won’t even know what that is.

Tippy’s serves the worst food I’ve ever eaten. My wife and I stopped in last night on our way south down US29. I had the Santa Fe Chicken Dinner; she had a meal with«meat» tacos and«tostadas»(more on those later). My enchiladas were indistinguishable from a mediocre TV dinner. The chicken was dry and rubbery, and the«house-made» enchilada sauce was over-sweet goop from a can. The refried beans clearly came from a can and had been microwaved; they were bone-dry and flavorless, the kind of stuff served at elementary schools. My wife substituted shrimp for«meat» on her tacos, which the cook arbitrarily decided would cost $ 3 extra. Those premium-priced shrimp were two unseasoned, nuked turds on each taco, served with some lettuce and tomato on a cold taco shell. At the bottom of the basket was a mysterious pool of rank water. Her meal, like many others on the menu, came with«tostadas,» which made us think it provided a variety of foods. But no: those tostadas were plain, cold tostada *shells*. That’s right: the meal came with a few flat taco shells plucked straight from the box and served in a basket. And they were stale. Why anyone would eat plain taco shells is beyond me. It’s the kind of thing only a very small child who’d been abandoned in a pantry would eat. I doubt they serve plain taco shells in prison. On top of all that, Tippy’s isn’t cheap. We paid $ 28 altogether for this canned, nuked misery(along with some cold chips and Old El Paso, and bottled drinks). And it was dirty. The carpet looked like a college apartment’s, and the tables were sticky. This is a dreadful place to eat. It’s an insult to Mexican food, which can be cheap and easy and still good if you make more effort than microwaving canned beans and serving stale taco shells. I’ll say again, without any exaggeration, that it’s the worst food I’ve ever eaten.

How can you not love Tippy’s? Yes it is not the cleanest, and yes it probably is not the best place on Earth; however their service is great and their smoked brisket tacos are to die for! They make a custom sauce for it, and it literally is probably the best taco I have had. That being said I have only tried a few other menu items and I stand by my opinion this place is worth a try! :)

Went here for Friday lunch w/Mr Funk. He invited me to join he and his wife as she took a break from counting $ @ TFB. He had clipped several coupons from the Warrenton rag that were offering four tacos @ $ 4.99 including beverage. I liked the tacos, though small and with low grade ground beef, they are made tasty with fresh lettuce and tomatoes, they have hot and mild sauce and both were fresh and flavorful. The ice tea was a little sweet so next time I’m going half and half. I like the laid back casual vibe here. They have a nice 70 inch HD in the main dining room. along with a cool jukebox. The side dining roomhas a foosball and pool table with a couple of smaller tables. I will look forward to checking this place out this summer and sitting on the outside patio.

Worst Mexican food ever. Really, how hard is it to make Mexican? EASY! But they make it taste horrid. How this place stays in business, I don’t know. I got a gift card for Tippy’s Taco House for Chistmas from a friend and literally threw it in the trash. I’d rather go hungry than eat there.

Let’s be honest — Tippy’s is no where close to «Authentic» Mexican food; however, they are a fan favorite. Tippy’s has such a unique flavor, and for a few mere dollars you can eat to your heart’s content. My favorite from Tippy’s are the cheese enchiladas, and of course, the tacos. And no meal is complete without Tippy’s Sauce — available in hot and mild. This particular Tippy’s has billards and a few arcade games to keep this joyful. They’ve noted that they have free WiFi, but they never seem to have it up while I’m there. All in all, Tippy’s is a great deal at a great price, and while it’s not anything I would consider ‘Mexican’, it’s still a cult classic in the small restaurant field!

I used to go to Tippys for lunch ALL the time. Like almost every Tuesday for«Tippy Tuesday» as we called it — tacos are on special. We love the queso dip & taco salads as well. I agree the place could use a makeover, but as far as the food goes — it’s great.

Ate lunch here today for the first time — ordered the Super Nachos — with black olives added in — and a Diet Coke. When I lived in Centreville, I used to frequent the Tippy’s in Centreville, and often I ordered the Super Nachos. It appears as if there are differences in how the various Tippy’s prepare certain dishes — for example the cheese the Centreville Tippy’s puts on their Super Nachos is a creamy cheddar/nacho like sauce, whereas the Warrenton Tippy’s uses a white Monterey jack cheese. And the Centreville Tippy’s did not provide Guacamole on the dish — you had to pay for a side of Guacamole. The Super Nachos come with jalapenos, chili, sour cream, and guacamole, plus the black olives I had them add. Nachos were tasty, although I was wishing the quantity were just a tad more.

A dump. Granted a lot of your good food can come from places that don’t do much in the way of décor, but this place doesn’t have the food to justify the awful atmosphere. It looks unclean and messy. crummy salsa from a jar, processed cheese dip, no spice in anything. If you like bland mexican food, then maybe you will like it. on the positive side, if you are broke and want some food, this place is dirt cheap.

–5 stars, is that possible on here? Horrible food. I think they grabbed microwave Mexican food and deep fried it. Since this is the East Coast, go to Chipotle in Manassas. If you are from SoCal/West Coast, you would torch this place at night. Cleanliness – It should be shut down. Disgusting. The salsa was like ketchup. Nuff said? Save your money and intestines.
