I like and respect Dr. Minera, but I find the communications and support personnel at this practice terrible. I wish Dr. Minera were available outside this awful practice. They use a communications system called NextMD which really says it all — you should move on to the next MD and avoid this one. They use this NextMD system not to improve communications but to completely ignore them, including necessary prescription refills. I want to be kind and nice because Dr. Minera exemplifies these attributes, but that is not enough when communication and refill requests are absolutely essential but ignored here, and I don’t mean I simply disagree with them. I mean ignored as in no reply whatsoever and that includes repeated requests.

I have been seeing Dr. Minera for years and I am very thankful I found a knowledgeable and compassionate doctor.

I have had amazing service from Piedmont. My provider is Dr. Minera and have to say that out of all the doctors I have had, from other providers, he has been the most invested personally and professionally. When there is something outside of the realm of his immediate knowledge he has researched and taken his time to find answers or a direction to go. I have found the majority of their staff to be extremely friendly. The only thing I don’t like is how fast they book up for the week. I know this cannot be helped, especially with current healthcare and practitioners needing to see more and more patients. I did not deduct a star for this as I know they have little choice with the direction everything is going in healthcare. I have been going here for close to five years. Not to forget his stellar nurse Megan who actually CARES and works in symphony with the Dr. Lastly, I like how their after hours ‘urgent’ care is the same co-pay as my primary care visit. The hours of availability being evenings and weekends is pretty awesome. I have never had a primary care office like this before and have many health concerns.

I went to Piedmont for 5+ years. The last few years they have consistently gone down hill. The worst is the receptionists. None of them really care. They are very rude when talking on the phone or when you arrive. The only one who is semi-pleasant is Connie. Last time I went there, I was at the window talking with one of the receptionists and they cut me off to chat with another co-worker about the Christmas decorations. I did love my doctor. I use to see Bivikia. She is very good. She is respectful, doesn’t waste you time, and answers all questions. However, she only works part time there and it was very hard to get an appointment with her. I had to call in after one visit to have a paper signed for health insurance. The head nurse refused to sign it and since Bivikia didn’t work until the following week, I had major issues with the health insurance. I was very upset at the fact that nobody would help me, I talked to numerous people and kept getting the run around. The head nurse said she spoke with the«owner» there. I find it hard to believe the owner would not sign a health insurance paper while looking at my file. Another time I had scheduled an appointment for a checkup and when I arrive I was told by the receptionist, «You are not on the schedule.» I told her when I called and she went to get someone else. Another receptionist came over and said that they had tried to call me three times to let me know the appointment needed to be rescheduled since my doctor was not in that day. Not a care in the world that I had to reschedule my appointment and they did not make any effort to fit me in that week. Find another doctor, don’t go through the same headaches I did. They will waste your time and give you the run around. They are only out to collect the payment. They really do not care about their patients.
