The manager, Willy, contacted me regarding our experience that night. He offered us 2 free entrees to make up for the terrible experience we had. He was very kind and apologetic when we talked on the phone. We ordered carry out, our food was hot, delicious, and on time. I keep this as a 3 star(up from a 1 star) and will update accordingly. They will receive 5 stars from me if we receive the same timely service and delicious food without the owner being directly involved. Stay tuned!

We stopped in for dinner after reading all the positive reviews online. We have been spoiled as our«go to» Thai place in Lake Ridge has always been amongst the BEST Thai we have ever had, ANYWHERE. So, the bar is rather high when it comes to trying new places. We also hate the places that mix Sushi and Chinese food on the menu with Thai. Well, this place didn’t disappoint! The menu is strictly Thai and nicely arranged! The inside of the restaurant is comfy, cozy and clean. The staff is friendly and personable. We ordered spring rolls to start and they were pretty good! The entrées were large enough to share, but we each got our own. They each came with rice and it was cooked well too. The spices and flavors in the entrées were amazing and fresh! The fresh peppers and other ingredients made the food wonderful! We’ll most definitely be back!

This is the local Thai that I have been looking for. I love Thai food, but held off on coming here for years due to(if I recall correctly) poor reviews. We actually came here after running into a problem at Longhorn(called to get on the wait list and was told they didn’t have one, I get there 15 minutes later and it is now a 45 minute wait… my review for Longhorn pending). I am actually glad that Longhorn sucked as now I have another restaurant in my rotation. Food is good and has clear Thai flavors and recipes. Spice level is low, even when asking for Thai spicy, but nothing that the spicy tray can’t fix. Service is quick, attentive, and friendly. Décor is a little dark for me, I can’t recall anything in there.

I go here about 3x a week for lunch. The staff is very friendly and quick when they’re slow. There’s no lunchtime hostess so if they are busy, sometimes you are standing at the front door waiting for a table for quite some time. The staff will recognize you and put in your order from the door once they know you. I usually get the Vegetarian Drunken Noodle Medium Spicy and sometimes it’s really spicy and sometimes it’s not spicy at all. I don’t mind because it is always fresh and delicious! I’ve gotten the Pad Thai Shrimp and Panang Curry Chicken, which are both tasty. Lunch prices are reasonable but dinner prices are a bit pricey IMO

I ordered food from here at 7:15pm and have had to call back twice to see where my order is. I was told the first time, at 8:30, the driver was leaving to deliver my order and I should call back at 8:50 if it hadn’t arrived. I called back at 9:00 and was told it would be another 30 minutes because they were really busy. My food finally arrived at 9:22. The food was decent but not worth a two hour wait.

I had the appetizer sampler, phở, fresh spring rolls, crab rangoon, and the chef’s fried rice in the two times we ordered from this place last week. Overall I liked everything. The crab rangoon, which is a special, was awesome. They add a lot of imitation crab meat but it works really well. Their chicken satay is probably the first time that I have had it not dry. I like it for the flavor but until this place, I’ve always found it dry. Their dumplings and springrolls were also good, but i found them really meat heavy and they lacked the extra texture that most places get by adding a little vegetable. I didn’t understand how i got a little side of thick black soy sauce, for some reason that really confused me, it was the dark almost caramel textured soy sauce that I only know from a jar. I really hope that was a mistake. Their duck sauce was weak, and this other sauce i didn’t recognize was pretty bland for a south east Asian food item. All that said, i ate most of my food without extra sauces. The exception was the peanut sauce for their fresh springrolls which was really good. Aside from the prices the thing that really disappointed me was the phở. The balance was off and it was dark brown. It reminded me of when i accidentally burned the spices roasting them for another type of dish. The herbs and vegetables that came with the soup were light. I got a handful of basil, but none of the other herbs, and a lot of jalapeño. The meat that was cooked in the broth was dry and chewy, but the rest was fine. Once i put it together it was«phở» enough that i ate it… Turns out phở is like pizza. Bad phở is still phở which means it’s good. I didn’t dislike any of the actual food, I really liked the crab rangoon, chicken satay, and the fried rice, but the phở made me want to facepalm for ordering phở from a thai place. …My girlfriend has told me that I should note that the duck sauce was sweet and sour sauce, and that I should point out that I grew up with vietnamese food, which is why I ripped the phở apart.

Faang is a bit on the expensive side, but you generally get what you pay for. The food tastes fresh, and the dinner portions are generous. Most of their food is delicious, with only a handful of exceptions. Some of my favorite items are: spring rolls, fresh rolls, calamari, Bangkok steak, duck Thai red curry, Chef’s fried rice, stir-fried broccoli with shrimp, and coconut ice cream. The mango with sticky rice is wonderful, but only when the mangoes are in-season. The shrimp tempura is amazing, but they give you too few shrimp(in comparison to the tempura vegetables) for the price. Make sure to ask about the monthly specials, too! I love the lamb chops, crab wontons, roast chicken, and roast pork. Some of my least favorite items are: papaya salad, Tom Ka soup, Rama chicken, lobster fried rice(overcooked lobster), and crab fried rice(overcooked crab).

Outstanding food and terrific service. As authentic as you can probably get outside of Thailand. The staff are always on point and friendly. Super food quality and always spotless. Love it.

Been going here for years and 95% of the time it’s take out. Food is awesome and you get what you paid for. I think we stayed there to eat maybe 2 – 3 times at the most and I don’t remember anything that was particularly great or bad either. Few times the wait for the food exceeded what they said over the phone but nothing more than 5 – 10 minutes at most. Easy to get to from route 29 and business route 17. Lots of parking and outside seats as well. I am glad it’s here — very convenient to where we live. Will keep going back!

This place is amazing and terrible. First and foremost, the food is phenomenal. I’ve never had anything but delicious Thai food from Faang. Hands down, delicious. You cannot go wrong here at all. The service, on the other hand, sucks abysmally. I usually get the food to go, and without exception, they are completely unable to get the«your food will be ready in _______minutes» calculation down correctly. Never. 30 minutes is an hour. 15 minutes is an hour. The staff is courteous about it, but it’s just a matter of not having good restaurant management, which is probably made more complicated by the fact that everyone who works there appears to be 17 years old, mildly misanthropic(only mildly), and completely inexperienced in customer service. Sure, everyone has to start somewhere, and I certainly applaud Faang’s willingness to ensure the Warrenton High School Class of 2017 is fully employed, but at least train them. Oh, my food is now going to be 30 minutes longer than you had promised? I have to sit here while you figure out where my order went? Maybe knock a couple bucks off the bill. Just a thought. Hey, here’s a beer on the house. Sorry we’re inconveniencing you. Wait, in all fairness, I will say they offered me a glass of water the last time I went to pick up and had to sit there for an extra 30 minutes… so that was nice, but it was raining, so I could have equally gotten that for free by standing outside. On a more technical, less whiny level, it’s obvious they lack good front and back of the house management. I’ve sat there and had people come in after me, pick up their food or be served before me. I ordered three things last time, and I was told the delay was because the cook was working on the last of my three entrees… so they were all made by one person in serial, not in parallel? That just doesn’t make sense from a kitchen management perspective. How that is sustainable, I just don’t know. When I am told it’s just going to be a few minutes, the staff should know whether that’s 3 or 20. I don’t think that’s unreasonable. I’ve also sat at the bar clearly waiting for food, only to find out it had been sitting next to the register for the last ten minutes, but no one told me because the front of the house folks were busy running tables. Not great… but damn that rama chicken keeps me coming back for more! Again, the food is AMAZING, so if you come for something delicious you will not at all be disappointed. If you care about service or have alternate plans for the evening, I’d consider that before crossing the event horizon into the black hole of service that is Faang Thai. Food — A+++ Service — What is lower than an F?

We’re pretty sure dude is drunk. That’s about the entire foundation of the visit. We sat at the bar around from another group of three and watched him take the orders for their drinks and cobble them together. First girl wanted something with gin, and he put Bombay, Bacardi and cranberry in a tall glass. She’s drinking it, as well as the one with her mojito, but we’ve already made eye contact with them. They know, too. We got our order in quick, just to be ahead of the train wreck. We only had to repeat one part, which worked for me. For the girls, however, ordering calamari took three tries. Dude kept forgetting what they asked for on his way to the computer. Less than sober bartender aside, the food was decent. We had the appetizer platter which was all pretty straightforward with your fries components. Nothing glamorous, but it all tasted good. She had the broccoli with rice noodles, which was sort of a pad see eew and liked it, but needed a little more spice. I had the spicy fried rice with chicken which had all kinds of spice, and was great. The entertainment value was definitely there. He just may have been naturally goofy, so I don’t want to incriminate anyone, but we’re pretty sure. Either way, it was fun to watch and he was genuinely a nice guy. And to the woman who was mad that she couldn’t get a gift card, maybe you’d think to get a wedding gift before the day of the wedding. Your failure to plan is your fault, not theirs.

Thai food here is good though prices were expensive compared to other Virginia Thai restaurants. I was also disappointed that they do not put eggplant in their curries. Good service. Bring a sweater in summer the A/C is on high.

Eat-in was pretty busy but we had pretty good service. I’ve eaten off the menu many times and have yet to find something I don’t like. Take-out is the only downfall. Take-out times are always more than you are told. I’ve waited upwards of 45 – 50 minutes when picking up my take-out food.

Service tonight was slow. Took 10 minutes for someone to even knowledge me being there. But once we got service everything was great. Had the chef seafood fried rice and spring rolls. It’s good since it’s not greasy like other places. Happy hour specials on draft beers are only three dollars.

My family loves this place, it is where they go for«special» occasions, or lunch! I have joined them on a couple occasions and enjoyed a couple dishes. This time i kept it light with kom tam soup and a salad. The soup was huge, and super delicious! The salad was also huge and tasty, but the peanut dressing was terrible, so i asked for their other honey mustard option. Staff is very sweet, and pretty prompt. The place was hopping for friday night, everyone was excited with their pad thai’s(it’s what they all eat!) and we left stuffed and happy!
