We visited the Covert Café recently for lunch. It was actually not too hard to find since there were lots of signs. My husband and I tried the breakfast burrito and the decoy burger. Both were really good! To finish it off, we enjoyed a delicious white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookie! Would definitely visit again.

The Covert Café is very convenient being so close to work. They have good food combinations But lately they have been skimming on the meat in sandwiches. It is always a hit of miss if you will get enough meat in your sandwiches. Sometimes you don’t even taste the meat, just the cheese and bread.

This wasn’t a breathtaking kind of place and I don’t think it is intended to be. However, it is a nice, solid place to eat a meal. The workers are friendly and the food is decent and wouldn’t mind eating here regularly if I were local.

I was disappointed with Covert Café but maybe because the reviews were so good. Had the breakfast burrito with sausage and there is just too much potatoes and not enough sausage or eggs. My mom got the cyclops burger and they forgot the bacon and it also only had one patty but I read other reviews that said theirs came with 2. Service was decent but the people who ordered after us got their food before we did. I liked the fries and the potato salad was OK.

The food is cheap, but delicious. They have a burger for only like $ 7 that also comes with fries— it’s soooooo good. I hate the covert café’s hours however. It’s so annoying. They close at 3 pm and aren’t open on Sunday’s. They could make so much money if they were open even just an hour later. When I do get the chance to eat there I always love the food. The owner is also kind of rude sometimes because of his dry humor.

LUNCHREVIEW. I haven’t tried the breakfast fixings which seem to rate a better review from others that have done it. I had the BLECH, a BLT with a delicious runny egg in it. Not bad at all. I also had some chilli; nicely sweet, and it was even better when I ate the Route 11 BarBQ potato chips with it. This place is low on decoration; nothing to see here, and it’s just a few tables with some rather dirty seat cushions. In general, Unless you’re going to Old BustHead or to Vint Hill Wines, I wouldn’t twist my way through the Vint Hill complex to pursue it. BUT, if you’re gonna sit at the brewery and you don’t like the current food truck selection, have your spouse save your seats and schlep on over. You’ll be glad you did.

Yummy place hidden in a cute little town. Google maps didn’t quite know how to get us there, but it wasn’t too difficult to figure it out. Craving a breakfast burrito on a Saturday morning(and not wanting to pay an arm and a leg for one at eggspectation) Unilocal lead us here. $ 12 and change for two burritos. They were opening up upon our arrival, had just turned the open sign on. We were greeted by a friendly young man and the food was served up quickly. Very yummy. A little heavy on the potato, but that’s a common problem with any breakfast burrito. Still very yummy and we are so happy to find a yummy breakfast burrito that is cheap, generous in portion and not too far from home. Can’t wait to come again and try other menu items!

I have never had a meal I didn’t like from covert. My personal favorite is the breakfast burrito. I’ve actually never had any breakfast burrito quite like it. Covert is a usual lunch spot for me as my work and Covert are both in Vint Hill. The environment is awesome and comfortable. Everyone knows each other and are super friendly. Highly recommended for whatever you’re craving. Debby, Beatrice, and Cory are the best.

Had the cheesesteak for $ 6.75 pretty good and decent price. Great place for a snack/sandwich right after a tasting at the winery

First time at Covert Café. I was looking for a good breakfast place, particularly for a good breakfast burrito. I moved from California a few years back and haven’t been able to find a good breakfast burrito place, but my luck has finally turned! The burrito was awesome! Tasted amazing… I may order two next time! I would love to try a version with chili in it… I’m going to ask if they have some to add next time. The manager was very friendly. Overall a positive experience. I will have to come back for lunch at some point

We went to trivia night at Old Bust Head. If you call in your order they will walk it over to your table. Food was delivered quickly and hot. The tortilla soup was delicious. Very flavorful and tortilla strips crunchy. My curry chicken wrap was very flavorful. The wrap was large and under $ 6.

It’s hard for me to separate my visits to the Covert Café from the winery next door. Great selection for the size of the place, reasonable prices. Enjoyed the historical pictures of the old WWII signal intelligence site hanging on the walls. Parents were happy too, so double(triple?) plus. This place reminds me why I should go to more mom & pop stores instead of chain restaurants.

I come here at least once a week. I tend to get the turkey bacon avocado with an egg. It’s AMAZING! This place is a little hidden but well worth the hunt. Mom & pop sandwich place with much more to choose from on the menu. Staff is always friendly and personnel.

This is a great hole in the wall breakfast and lunch place! Have eaten here many times now and have to say some of the best sandwiches /subs around. Also their pies you can request for the holidays are simply amazing! You can tell they are made from scratch, just like their soups.

I’ve visited The Covert Café for breakfast twice now. The first time, I had a sausage and cheese on a biscuit. The biscuit was to heavy and to doughy. A good biscuit should be light and flaky. The second time I had a Breakfast Burrito — with eggs, bacon, potatoes, and cheese, wrapped in a wheat tortilla. I asked for some hot sauce — they provided a soufflé cup of Texas Pete hot sauce. Not a great hot sauce, but better than some. The Burrito was pretty tasty and filling. If I’d been writing this review based solely on my first visit — the review would have been two stars. But the Breakfast Burrito dragged the rating up a good bit. Service was good — both orders were cooked to order. So you end up waiting a few minutes but your food is fresh and hot.

I came here for the first time today & grabbed some lunch. I chose the Turkey Avocado BLT with chipotle mayo on wheat with Miss Vickie’s Original Recipe chips and a bottle of water. I went in around 12:15& there were 2 other patrons inside, while I waited to order 4 more came in. I ordered mine to go & sat to wait while 3 more people came in. They seem pretty busy during the lunch hour! They had quite a few tables inside & a couple on a little patio out back. My sandwich was SO good! They don’t skimp on anything — you absolutely get your money’s worth of food. The flavor was on point — I can’t wait to try their Curried Chicken Salad Sandwich next! They also have soups, sides(like potato salad), & drinks(including beer!). If you’re in the area, you MUST stop by for breakfast or lunch! They are located next to the winery at Vint Hill.
