My husband and I moved to Warrenton 2 years ago and always thought this was just a bakery. Boy, were we wrong! We got to venture out(without baby) for the first time in a while! And chose Café Torino for a romantic night out on Friday, 1÷29÷16. It was the best meal and overall dining experience we have had in Warrenton in 2 years. I had the Gorgonzola filet Mignon and my husband had the Veal Parmigiana. The food was to die for! The owner and chef, Andrea, came to our table multiple times to meet us, check on us, and entertain us. The experience was special and made us feel like part of the family!

Chose this restaurant randomly to meet a family member and we could not have been more happy! The owner was extremely personable and made our experience! He kept us laughing during our entire visit. The food was also delicious. Five of us all got completely different dishes and all raved about our food. The lunch portions, especially for the meat and fish plates and the pasta plates were very generous. Next time we will have to try some of the delicious looking bakery treats. Definitely recommend checking out this place!

I just do not think their food is very good. Their foccacia bread is the only highlight, everything else I have had there has been close to inedible.

We had a delightful experience and a fabulous lunch here one Saturday. The owner made us feel quite welcome as soon as we arrived. We had my elderly father with us who can’t hear well but this low-key atmosphere was easy on his ears. Our picky 11-year-old loved his pasta and the rest of us eagerly devoured our meals, especially the excellent focaccia. The Chicken Marsala was the best, but the chef got props from my sister for making her special request of chicken piccata. All in all, a delightful find for Warrenton and one we will patronize again in the future!

This place is amazing! The people here and so very nice and helpful. The food is beyond yummy! We order the soup of the day, cream of broccoli. It came with a side of focaccia. Delicious! Then my husband and I both had the avocado BLT! So so good! The kids shared a linguini with marina sauce. The sauce equaling yummy! I wish we lived a lot closer. We’d be making this a weekly stop if we did!

A wonderful stop off coming from Shenandoah back to DC. Doesn’t look special but food outstanding: chicken with pasta, chicken parmigiana, asparagus soup were all outstanding with brilliant bread. All that plus some really beautiful homemade chocolates for less than $ 30 for 3. The owner /host was delightful and even helped deflect a tired 10 year from Sprite to water — good in our standards. We’ll make it a regular when we pass.

I had lunch this past Week at Torino’s. My favorite in Warrenton so far. We just moved to VA and this place has a «homemade Italian» flavor. Love it!

Pastries? Do you think you’ve had pastries? If you have not been here, then you have NOT had pastries. Cannoli to die for!

Had lunch today and were astounded by the excellent service and food. My wife had the aosta ham and Fontina focaccia. I had doubts about a Reuben made on focaccia but the waitress was very convincing. We traded halves. The aosta was very good but the Reuben was amazingly flavorful. The focaccia was soft and flavorful making it a wonderful accompaniment to the corned beef and homemade sauerkraut. We finished off the meal with some of the pastries; as good as I have had anywhere including Italy. Now we want to go back for dinner.

We stopped in for lunch and we were pleased with our first experience here. Staff was very friendly, food was prepared in a timely manner, and tasted delicious. Great selection of salads, sandwiches wraps and more. We will be back for sure.

Check out pics and more reviews on our Fauquier Foodie page on FB. I highly suggest you make a reservation as the café has just over a dozen tables and some are for just two people. In the past I have tried to walk in for lunch with my husband, and had to walk out as it was so busy. It is a great restaurant for couples, groups and for families but do call ahead. I called an hour ahead for the dinner menu on Saturday night, and reserved a table for 7:45pm the last service. The wait staff were attentive and immediately had our table waiting with a candle glowing, and seated us all, and gave us all glasses of water. The waitress told us the veal was sold out, and that they could do any other dish with any veal dish sauce that we saw, and they could accommodate the children as best they could even though they did not have a children’s menu. My husband ordered the Linguine with meat sauce, I ordered the Shrimp Torino and the children had penne with Alfredo sauce and just linguine with butter. Do not expect fries or chicken nuggets for kids as it is a authentic Italian restaurant run by an authentic Italian chef. We had the choice of a salad I chose the house which, came on a small saucer with some different lettuce, a slice of tomato with a really good dressing. A long small basket of two different fresh breads with a little bottle of olive oil and butter was delivered which, was excellent. I like the touch that the butter is not served cold with the bread which, is a pet peeve of mine as I have to soften it to spread on the bread however, with Café Torino they got that right. On to drinks. They had a small selection of wines and beers to choose from, I would like to see some more choices of Italian wines from Andrea’s region in Italy but I liked that he did include some local wines from our Vineyards here in the region. I ordered the Pinot Grigio as I was ordering the shrimp. We had plenty of staff attending to us I counted at least three wait staff and several in the kitchen including Andrea himself. Observing this it seemed more that what I saw when I tried to go there for lunch in the past. On to the food, My shrimp Torino was great, the wine sauce could have had a bit better depth of flavor a little more wine but it was still good and the shrimp were cooked just right. I make pasta all the time at home and I could tell it was all fresh. My husband had the bolognese which, was particularly earthy and good, and the penne pasta with alfredo sauce was actually cooked to perfection slightly better than my linguine, it just had that nicer al dente(just a little firmer than my pasta). Overall the food and service was above average, better than any chain so, yes check out this little gem with a flamboyant passionate Italian chef. Andrea came out after our food was served and worked the room with his Italian charm making sure everyone was happy. The place has a really authentic and cozy feel. All are welcome, made to feel welcome. Yes the restaurant could be bigger, jazzed up a little with décor but overall the price point, food and atmosphere is great and it is truly wonderful to see a Chef passionate about food and a restaurant. We give Café Torino full marks and will absolutely become regulars and go back. As I said before I highly suggest you make a reservation, and think you would enjoy the later evening service the best.

Pass this little gem all the time and oddly, we’ve never stopped. BIGMISTAKE! Greeted by the owner/chef and told him it was our first time, and to make us something yummy… lentil with bacon soup, chicken, spinach, sun dried tomatoes, and provolone with cream sauce, homemade bread… OMG! Left with a box of amazing looking pastries, look too good to eat. Almost! Highly recommend… We’ll be back!

My honey and I went to lunch at Café Torino on a blustery, cold day. Both of us usually order one of their phenomenal sandwiches, but chose pasta this time. Honey had the Prosciutto and Sage over pennette and I had the chicken, spinach and garlic over penne. Both pastas were cooked al dente(yay!) and both were delicious! The prosciutto dish was creamy, rich and quietly addictive, while the chicken dish was bold and just burst with flavors. Both of us left VERY happy and stuffed to the brim! TWO empty dishes cleaned of every last morsel of sauce with the amazing foccacia bread served alongside… fabulous!

If I didn’t live in North Carolina, this would be my weekly go-to! The food was really good and the service was great. The Chef is very social and makes you feel special. He made my children’s night by coming out and talking to us about their choices.

We went for dinner with friends who have been many times and quickly realized why they like this nice restaurant so much. The chef/owner is VERY outgoing and personable. The menu was amazing and the pastries and sweets he makes look and taste AMAZING! We tried several different things from appetizers to filet and fish to dessert and each dish was outstanding! The freshness of the ingredients was also noticeable and the prices are VERY fair, considering the personal attention given to each dish. We look forward to more trips to this incredible restaurant in the future!

Food 4 Service 5 Ambiance 3 I was visiting a local who introduced me to this restaurant. Food was wonderful. I had butter with a little bit of pasta. :) Seriously, there was a lot of butter but that made the pasta so tasty! Service was great and I’ll definitely return when I’m in town again.

Fabulous lunch– friendly service, lots of options, flavorful, and delicious bread. Also a geat place for new baby to sleep while parents are spending time together– cozy, clean, relaxing environment with well spaced tables. Deducted a star in an attempt to get a changing table added to the bathroom, which would guarantee our return.

Pretty nice lunch place. An independently owned Italian and home cooking café. On the recommendation of my co-worker, Lindsey who has grown up in Fauquier County, several of us went here for lunch. It was a busy friday lunch crowd at 11am. You order and pay, then they bring your food. They have several daily specials and a chalk board menu. The owner is a very outgoing, high energy guy who takes your order. He’s very friendly and likes to joke. I told him it was my first time there and he made several recommendations. I decided on the Ruben on focacia bread. It was an excellent choice, I was very pleased with the food quality. The service is very good, you won’t have to ask to have your glass refilled. I would def recommend this place and will be going back.
