The food at Taste is absolutely phenomenal! Everything is served as tapas and they come out as they are ready. My family of 4(sons ages 8&5) ordered 7 dishes, which filled us all with no problem. The menu is constantly changing based on available ingredients, but if it is available, get the fried calamari. It is very lightly breaded, the pieces are gigantic, and it is tossed with red onions, tomatoes, and a balsamic reduction. It immediately became my 5yo’s favorite food ever. The burratta melts in your mouth, the meatballs tastes just like my Italian grandmother made them, and the puttanesca is spot on. It is a small restaurant so if you are going on a Friday or Saturday night, make sure you call ahead for reservations.

Octopus Salad, Shrimp wrapped in Bacon, Meatball Parmesan, Fried Calamari, and maybe a plate I forgot — the bottom line is everything was really outstanding. Service was quick and consistent and the real surprise was the bill. Though I have not been to many tapas places I have found that, in general, the small plates add up to a surprisingly high bill in the end. Not that Taste is cheap, but I would say, rather fair. A great meal for a fair price — yes, we will be back again!

We truly enjoyed our dinner here. We were a party of four and we ordered about 15 plates(we were hungry). Every dish was delicious. We enjoyed the meatballs so much we ordered seconds. Service was spectacular. The owners are super friendly and very hard working. You can tell that they love what they do. I highly recommend trying Taste. Bonus was the check wasn’t outrageous. Everything was so reasonably priced. I cannot wait to go back!

This is a great new place to come and«TASTE«a variety of many types of Italian cooking from different regions. From the minute I walked in, I knew this was going to be a wonderful experience. TASTE is a small quaint TAPAS restaurant with a homey feel.(I want to preface that a tapas restaurant is one that serves very small plates of food that people come together and share a bite or two per plate. When coming with a group it is always wise to order at least 2– 3 dishes per person and share… This is a different style of eating and not meant to stuff your face.) The décor is a simple one with wooden tables, fiestaware dishes, and a large jug of water on each table. This made me feel like I was in my Nona’s(grandmother) kitchen. I never felt rushed or hurried … TASTE is a BYOB so bring your favorite libation and the staff will be happy to open it and provide you with ice and glasses. Our waitress was a lovely lady by the name of Kari. She was very pleasant, attentive, and explained many of the different dishes. One of the girls in our party doesn’t eat seafood and Kari made sure she received her pasta without it. The rest of us ate the Casareccia Ischia Pasta with the shrimp. I started off tasting two different kinds of salad. One was Arugula with cherry tomatoes, pig oil nuts, shaved Parmesan simply dressed with a lemon vinaigrette, the other was a Sweet Kale Salad with Kale, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, chicory, cabbage, roasted pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries in a creamy poppy seed dressing. Both were delicious but the kale salad was my favorite.. I then went on to sautéed Broccoli Rabe, no sausage. It was perfectly prepared… From there I tried the Burrata Caprese(mozzarella) and cherry tomatoes on top of flat bread dressed with a balsamic glaze. I could’ve eaten plates of this The creaminess from the Burrata just oozed all over the flat bread… next came Braciola beef flank steak rolled with breadcrumbs, parsley, garlic in a marinara sauce. The beef was very tender. The Chicken Involtini was equally good. It was rolled with prosciutto, and provolone cheese in a pink sauce. The Polenta Con Fungi was pan fried polenta cakes topped with Champignons mushrooms, and cherry tomatoes. The polenta added a nice texture to this dish. The Eggplant Rollantini melted in my mouth. Your probably wondering how many more dishes are coming, but that’s the beauty of Tapas there meant to be shared… My final dish was the Stuffed Calamari whole calamari filled with pieces of calamari, olives, capers, breadcrumbs cooked in a marinara sauce. This was good and was an interesting take on calamari. All through my dinner the dishes just kept coming and coming, so did the fresh bread with olive oil for dipping and of course the wine. Another sweet lady by the name of Luisa kept bringing out our food too. I found out the next day that she is the aunt to Kari who was the owner… Kari was so humble and nice I never knew that she was the owner until I called the next day to ask a question. This place is located in the heart of Warren. This location is in an outdoor style mall that has other shops and restaurants. At night, the area surrounding the restaurant is lit up outside. There are benches to just sit and relax. I truly enjoyed myself at TASTE and I look forward to returning to try some more interesting dishes…

Awful, simply awful experience. If you want to stop somewhere for a snack before you go somewhere else for DINNER then this is the place for you. The food itself was«good» but they are small appetizers, they are not meals. You will leave this place hungry and still pay over $ 100 for dinner. Not worth the money for the little food you get. Perfect example is the Braciola, good but so small that even if I ordered it as an appetizer in another restaurant, I would have complained. Plenty of other great Italian restaurants around Warren to negate this place completely.

Nobody should be this excited about going out to eat unless you’re on vacation! What could be more authentic then having your food prepared by an Italian trained chef? And not just trained, but having owned restaurants in Italy. So this is a tapas style restaurant. Everything is served as small plates for sharing or tasting. The food is fresh and homemade, not the usual commercial style food we are served elsewhere. The owners are gracious and friendly. It is a BYOB so it’s a win-win for us! You owe it to yourself to try this one!

As soon as we walked in to this place we knew it was going to be great. The staff was so attentive. The ambience was phenomenal … The food was so fantastic. My husband was apprehensive about the tapas concept but loved the experience and can’t wait to go back. This is a gem of a place and I am sure it will be successful ! Welcome to Warren

Excellent!!! Where do I begin with the delicious barrata or all the other extraordinary dishes. I really wish I could have tried everything, but the good thing we are close enough to go back often! Then when I was so full and couldn’t eat another thing my husband ordered the tiramasu and I couldn’t stop eating it! The place is nicely decorated and I love that it’s casual. Needless to say we will be back!
