Oyster River Lobster & Trap

My wife and I were visiting Maine in August and rented a cottage in Warren. Oyster River Lobster and Trap Co. was recommended by the owners of the rental as a place to purchase fresh local lobster and fish. When we visited on a Monday afternoon just before closing — they close at 5 PM — we were greeted by a very friendly and very honest woman who apologized for the limited selection of seafood. While they were limited in lobster, they had a ton of clams, some good looking scallops, and some other fish. While we were ready to purchase what was available, the woman told us that there would be a large delivery of fresh fish and lobster on Tuesday and that we may want to wait if we wanted more selection. So we did and there was… a great selection of everything you might want, but they don’t carry oysters. In the local area, this is the place to go for fresh seafood and good customer service.
