I came in for a referral and ended up seeing Dr. Healy. He is amazing! I came in the day after my initial consult (with a different Dr) because I was in so much pain. He was able to fit me in the same day. He could clearly see how much pain I was in and the first thing he said to me is «don’t worry we will get you out of the pain»
The only thing that helped my pain at the time was holding cold water on my tooth. During the exam he gave me «water breaks» as often as I needed in order for me to feel comfortable, which eventually turned into «pee breaks.» It was difficult for him to decide which tooth needed a root canal and he was very determined to figure it out. He ended up putting a cold cotton swab on a tooth and figured out which tooth it was based on when I felt relief from the cold.
Starting my root canal he made me feel more comfortable than any healthcare professional has before. He answered all of my questions and made sure I was comfortable and pain free at all times, which is huge for having my first root canal. He explained everything to expect and not expect afterward and even called me himself the day after to make sure everything was okay. The root canal was surprisingly completely pain free!
Overall Dr. Healy is amazing and I would recommend him to all of my friends and family.

I’ve never had a root canal before. For it being my first time, they were great. The entire staff was friendly and accomodating. My endodontist, Dr. Derik Deconinck, was awesome. He had me feeling at ease and was cracking jokes w/​me. I didn’t feel any pain what-​so-​ever. The whole procedure took about 1 ½ hrs and I was still pain free when I left. They sent me home with a script, just in case and even called me the next day to see how I was doing. I highly recommend, if you are having any dental work done.
