The Huggy Bear Motel is a hidden gem. It’s an inexpensive ($ 45) roadside motel run by a very friendly family. The rooms are a little dated but very clean – cleaner than most major chain hotel rooms I’ve stayed in at much higher prices. There are refrigerators and microwaves (again, clean) in every room. The family is very helpful, and the motel is right off of the interstate. There are other chain hotels and motels at higher prices in the same area, but I would choose this one every time. A lot of value and heart at the Huggy Bear. And you can’t beat the clean rooms and friendly people!
