Small and quaint. Parking can be tough. We had about a 30 min wait for seating on a Tuesday night. Wings for an app were delicious to say the least! Burgers were amazingly good!

Chomp is a great place for couples going out for a burger. Not so great for the kids. We walked away with an $ 80 bill and we got 3 burgers a lamb sandwich and 1 beer. I think it’s expensive if you bring kids but if your going out on date night and just want a good burger and beer this is a great place. Can’t wait to go with out the kids.

We had an excellent experience at this restaurant. Best burgers anywhere. Not a lot of tables, but superb food — piping hot. The bartender really knew his beers. The waitstaff appeared to have a team approach to serving clientele. Really cool place. We will definitely go back again.

We were searching for a great beer/burger bar in the area and came across Chomp. We were not disappointed! The place was understandably busy, they had a great craft beer selection, and a great menu for burgers, sandwiches, and starters. We got the poutine(which was amazing) and the french onion burger, which was unreal. The staff was also great. We were waited on by Jenny and Alexis, both of who were super knowledgeable about the menu, gave us great suggestions, and had a great attitude in a very busy environment. Kudos to the team at Chomp and we will definitely be back!

drove from Boston to try out chomp! my friends from New Bedford always raved about how good it was so I knew I had to try it out! the drive wasn’t too bad since we had friends in Rhode Island that we met up with for dinner. the parking lot was kinda small. the place itself is also small, wasn’t too too bad though. it was a little cramped because we were there around 730⁄745. so typical dinner rush for a Saturday. my friend and I sat at the bar and had a drink and appetizer while we waited for our friends to come, we had like an hour or so wait so it wasn’t like we were in a rush. the bartender was super nice and the host was helpful in my drink choice as well. we got seated around 845⁄9. I got the black truffle burger with portobello mushrooms. omg. heaven! so good! they have a homemade ketchup which is also really good if you’re in the mood for mixing things up and getting away from the normal everyday ketchup. all in all it was a nice experience and I would probably stop by if I was in the area! it was delicious for everyone!

I ordered the Black truffle burger. My friend the Stack. Amazingly good burger. Fries and catsup home made. Stuff dreams are made of. Yum. The cider and truffle paring was delicious and I highly recommend. Great find.

Got to eat there once and it was awesome. The Hamburgers are worth the trip alone. The Chicken wings were really good as well. All three sauces for the wings were good. I recommend them all. The beer list was pretty impressive as well. The downside is the parking lot and how small the place is as it’s hard to actually get in there to eat. I’ve tried to get in there three times since and and have been unsuccessful in doing so. I will not be back for that reason.

Duuuuuude!!!(and dudettes) Chomp is a burger spot that you try and wish that it was right down the street from your home or you were related to the owners so you could constantly go. Started off with a 30 minute wait but it was worth it so I didn’t care and we were able to get drinks quick making it better. I had a beer but the old lady had their juice cocktail and it was delicious. It was so good and fresh that she was able to have a few without thinking it was too sweet and sugary. Once we were seated we got down to business, burgers and chicken wings. We started with the wings which were so good, I wish we got two orders. We split burgers so we got the bbq burger and the mac and cheese burger. Both are great and mac and cheese burgers are typically not my thing. Our friends got the truffle butter burger and said it was the bee knees so that’s on the list for next time. I recommend going and hopefully I will see you there or they make on west shore rd in warwick so I have one in my back yard and then I would be a stool.

I ate at Chomp tonight for the first time. I went with an elderly friend and a friend in her early 50’s(I am 65). None of us were happy with the meal. That leaves me trying to make sense of all the fabulous reviews that the restaurant has gotten. First, let me say that the waitress was wonderful, and she deserved the large tip that we left her. Having heard that the restaurant was small, for some reason I expected it to be in an old building, but it is a modern building. My elderly friend said that it was once a vacuum-cleaner repair store. The fact that none of us enjoyed the meal must have something to do with the fact that our expectations were so high. In fact, I’ve noticed that some of the other poor reviews here were written by people who had high expectations. My younger friend had the house burger and asked for it medium-rare, but they served it to her very rare. She said later that she could have sent it back, but she didn’t want to make a fuss, so she just ate it.(I tend to do that also: Who wants your food to be ripped apart, recooked and then reassembled?) She said that the beef was very soft and didn’t have any crust or char on it, and that the burger didn’t seem to have a lot of flavor. I got the bacon burger. I asked for it medium and also got it rare.(The bacon burger is normally made of ground pork, and I asked them to substitute beef.) My burger was unpleasantly greasy. My beef was also very soft, and the mixture of flavors was interesting but not really delicious. My elderly friend got the pulled pork sandwich, and the pulled pork didn’t have any BBQ sauce in it. It appeared to be just shredded pork, possibly with some spices. She gave me one quarter of her sandwich, so I tasted it. I often eat the pulled pork served at Nancy’s Homestyle Deli(next to Patriot Liquors), which is absolutely delicious — so the mouthfuls of plain shredded pork didn’t impress me. The pulled pork sandwich had what looked like a sauce with shredded carrots in it, but it must have been something else because it was hot — shredded peppers perhaps? Let me add that the hamburger buns that the burgers came on were not very tasty, nor did they have a satisfying texture(they were too soft). So what is it that makes food delicious? I think the answer is unfathomable. However, I do think a good burger should have some chewiness(a charred crust at the least). Also, a good bun should have some chewiness too, and it should be good enough to eat by itself. A lack of texture was part of the downfall of this food; all of it was soft — soft beef, soft buns, soft pork, soft salad(see below). Also, the flavors didn’t mix right. For me, there was an «experimental» quality to the food, as if they were mixing flavors which should have tasted good together but didn’t. But really, I think the lack of texture was the main problem. The very basic bacon cheeseburgers that I buy at Nancy’s deli are much chewier and taste much better.(I’m using Nancy’s deli for comparison because I eat there a lot.) Now, I understand that there is this concept that good food is «tender», but in reality that isn’t true. Imagine eating pizza crust that isn’t chewy, french fries that aren’t crunchy, or bacon that isn’t crispy, and you’ll know what I mean. The same principle applies to burgers: a good burger needs a crust and some chewiness. Chomp’s burgers are too large. I had to eat mine with a knife and fork. Part of the experience of a burger is getting bread and meat in every bite, and it was hard to do that with a fork. My younger friend had a malt beer, which she liked. The best part of the meal was the fries. That gets me to the restaurant-made ketchup, which other people have panned. The strange taste in the ketchup is either fennel or anise(both of which taste like liquorice). Other than that, it tastes like basic ketchup except that it is very sweet and a little watery. There are at least a dozen other spices that the restaurant could have added which would have tasted better than fennel, and I’m not surprised that so many people hate the ketchup.(However, my elderly friend liked it.) My elderly friend and I got salads instead of fries with our meals(although we all tasted the fries). The salad greens were a little wilted(in other words, no crunchiness). I think they were the type of greens that come pre-washed and packaged in plastic. There wasn’t enough dressing on the salad, and the flavor of it(the ranch dressing) was just okay. My younger friend has worked in the restaurant business, and she describes over-the-top burgers like this(with sauces and unusual cheeses and condiments) as being a fad(though they’ve been around a long time). The topic of conversation at the table for the last half-hour was why we didn’t like the food, and that’s not a good sign. Two more things: the seats were comfortable, but the music was too loud. Sorry for the long review.

Had the house burger. Delicious meat and the house sauce was good. French fries with the house ketchup which was unique and tasty. Jane had the chicken Marsala sandwich and said it was probably the best sandwich she ever had. The Russian stout was filling and hoppy. She enjoyed the Six Point wheat beer. I will definitely come back.

I had heard so many good things about this place I was excited to try. Went there on a Sunday night around 5:15pm as the place is extremely small so you need to get there early especially if you have a crowd over 2 people. They have several 2 person seats, several 4 person seats but only 1 table for 6 so you will have to wait a long time with a larger crowd. They have a great beer on tap selection and the food is absolutely amazing. We got several apps, the frickles(fried pickles) and the homemade ranch sauce had dill in it, was delicious. The hot and smokey wings were great, especially with that amazing ranch sauce again. The sweet potato polenta fries were incredible, this was my first time having polenta. For entrees we all got different burgers. I am not a fan of hamburgers so I got the wild forage mushroom burger which was basically a variety of mushrooms packed together for a burger patty. This had cheddar cheese, squash fries, and arugula, this combo worked perfectly. I ordered the fries well done so they were nice and crispy and this place even makes their own ketchup! The ketchup was so unique, I believe they put fennel in it. I was so overly impressed with this restaurant, I will absolutely be returning!

If you ever want to get away from the standard run of the mill burger come down to Chomps. Best burger I’ve had all year. Fresh tasting ingredients on gourmet buns. House made ketchup and a very impressive beer card. Friendly service. Not a big place but worth the wait. I also enjoyed the duck confit bao what a real treat! Highly recommended!

If you’re looking for a good beer selection and a tasty hamburger then you’ve come to the right place. Chomp has all of these things and then some. Located in Warren, Chomp I feel suffers from being in a terrible location, but regardless of that they deliver food with a new degree of awesome. The place is very small so I would suggest keeping the party to four or less. They have bar seating and dining seating, but like I said it lacks space. They have outdoor seating which is clutch during the summer, but as the winter approaches it isn’t an option. Another cool thing about Chomp is they have a list of a variety of beers on tap and bottled or cans that are constantly changing. Chomp also has beers on tap with mini kegs and they have a list of «on deck» beers that will replace the current beers on tap. While I was there my friends and I got frickles and if you aren’t familiar with them… they are fried pickles! They are salty and so crispy! They serve it with this ranch aioli and take my word for it they will change your life! The burger i got was the smoky bandit. If you like a burger with a little kick to it this one is for you. Trust me it can get pretty spicy because of the pickles jalapeños. The patty is made from fresh beef and pork and mixes so well with all the flavors of the burger. I highly suggest it! Also the French fries are top notch so when they ask for your side of either French fries or a salad, just tell yourself you’re gonna go to the gym tomorrow, and get the fries! This place is a must for burger lovers!

I wish the space was a bit bigger, but that only complaint I have. Because the space is so small and the food is so delicious, there tends to be a wait. They open at 4:30 and there’s frequently a line to get in the door. An employee once suggested that we show up around 5:30 or 6:00. She explained that people will go right when they open or they assume there’s always a line, but generally there’s not much of a wait after the 4:30 parties have left. We tried this once and were seated right away! The food is amazing! The fried pickles are perfectly seasoned and crunchy. Also, they’re pickle chips, not spears. This makes a huge(awesome) difference. The ranch sauce is light and creamy. Everyone I’ve ever gone with always raves about the burgers being some of the best they’ve ever had. I generally go for the grilled cheese, which is always crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. Your choice of 2 cheeses! Chomp, if you’re reading this: please put the chicken and waffles sandwich on the menu for good! I know some people who would want to eat that sandwich at least once a week!

Chomp is top notch! Friends had recommended Chomp to me in passing over a year ago and I’d been meaning to try it, but after over hearing my coworkers talk about a new burger they had, a Truffle Burger(holy…yes please!!) I HAD to go. It’s a brand new item on their menu and may be the best thing I’ve ever eaten. Perfectly cooked, juicy beef patty with a truffle cream sauce and hen of the woods mushrooms(love!)…Pair that with a nice cold craft brew and I was a happy girl! The place is quite small with the whole«gourmet pub» feel with paintings of beer taps on the wall, a hand written draft list, and a short menu of well thought out house made menu items. Even their fries were fabulous!(Though I didn’t care for their house made ketchup. Not a fan of fennel). The waitress was also amazing. I didn’t catch her name but she defiantly added to the experience. I stuck to my beer with dinner but their cocktail menu also had some interesting options. Quite a few included house infused vodka or gin… I’m impressed. I highly recommend Chomp to foodies, beer lovers, burger fanatics and anyone who just really appreciates a delicious«simple» meal. Cheers!

L-l-l-l-l-love CHOMP! Small and cozy. Impressive beer selection and burger options. Great apps like wings and fried pickles. Details like tarragon ketchup. My top choice in RI for burgers. First time we tried the Heater and the Mac & Cheeseburger. Well done on all accounts. We dropped more on dinner than preferred — drinks aren’t cheap. And we waited longer than we wished we did — space is small. But my oh my — I am still salivating over those beautiful, beefy burgers.

This place amazes me– every single time! The menu was updated and we tried both the Duck Confit Bao and Mini Stuffies(new appetizers). Both were AWESOME! If you have not been since these apps have been added, it is time for you to return. The burgers and sandwiches have been adjusted a bit to add a new spin to some of the favorites. I stuck with the bacon burger which now had a new twist of jalapeño cheddar spread instead of the typical bacon jam. Don’t worry… It was still just as good. Thank you for always being so delicious.

Great burgers and fries. Definitely somebody has passion for good food here. The beer selection was great with eight craft brews, all of them, on tap. Small dining space that was full and we were seated at the bar(four of us) and we had a great time. Will certainly be back!

I can sum up why I go here in one sentence: I’m not a burger person, but I would come here every night for their burgers. Just one dinner there and I think about going again for the rest of the week. This is a true sign of addiction – WHYISYOURFOODSOCOMPARABLETOCRACKCOCAINE? Made from scratch everything. The owner is present and awesome; the bartenders are talented; the waitresses are knowledgeable; everyone is friendly; the food is DELICIOUS. What more do you want, people? Personal faves: the frickles(fried pickles) and their homemade ranch. The homemade ranch is perfection. Get extra and eat it with the fries. Also. The fries. It’s amazing what a little salt and pepper can do to Canadian potatoes, to the point where patrons believe the seasoning is a secret recipe. I’m not a fan of the homemade ketchup, but the fact that they make ketchup is just a testament to their dedication to be unique. ALLOFTHEBURGERS. I’ve had four of them so far and can’t even decide which one I like the most. It’s a small venue, and expect a long wait on the weekends. But I promise it’s worth it.

I’m bumping Chomp down to 3 stars. This is hard to do, but necessary. I really rooted for Chomp in the beginning but I’ve got to admit I’m not impressed anymore. While the décor is still great and I love the small, intimate atmosphere there and the beer list is still the best in town, there are just too many issues to overlook in order to keep them at 5 stars. My main reason for the drop in stars is inconsistency. I usually come here with a group of 4 – 6 people and just about every time, someone orders something they remembered loving, but then is disappointed because it is prepared completely different from the previous visit. Also, they no longer offer the Veggie Burger and this was seriously one of the best veggie burgers I had ever had. So now, when I visit Chomp, my entrée options are prohibitively limited. When my whole table is chowing down on burgers, I would REALLY love to be able to do that too but instead I get stuck chewing lettuce. The service can be snarky. There was a «situation» with a group of runners at my last visit, who were planning to go for a run and then meet up at the restaurant after for drinks/food. I don’t know the specifics of that, but what I do know is that I really didn’t enjoy listening to the waitstaff scoff and complain about the runners taking up parking spots and using the restroom, and badmouthing those potential customers as soon as each one left the building. I just think that could have been handled much more professionally. A big group of runners gets mighty hungry and thirsty after a run so if you are hospitable to them, it could prove quite lucrative for you to be a little more welcoming. Lastly, I HATE the homemade ketchup! There, I said it. It’s gross and I don’t know anyone who likes it either. I realize that’s not the most mature thing to say, but seriously, it’s nothing like ketchup. I’d still recommend them for a good spot to grab a beer and some appetizers though. That is, if you can find a parking spot.
