I stopped in at Alpine Options the way to Sugarbush and had a pleasant experience. Came in with three others who needed rentals and we were in and out within 30 minutes. We filled out a short form and were fitted according to our skill levels(level 1 for beginner up to level 3 for advanced). There were quite a few people working so we were each attended to by a different staff member. In additional to rentals, they had a pretty large selection of clothing and gear that might be worth a look if you need anything before setting out for the day/weekend. 1 day rental for skiis + poles cost $ 40, and another $ 10 for a helmet. Somewhat pricy but saved a lot of time and hassle, as compared with renting at the mountain.

Been using this shop for 3 years for tunes and any general ski needs. Prices are reasonable and service is excellent. My BOA broke on my snowboarding boots and they were able fix it overnight for a very reasonable price. Also bought my ski boots here and they heat molded them perfectly. By and far the best ski shop in MRV.

Live in Seattle. At the end of last season this was the only place I was able to find that had the ski I wanted in stock.(Line — Sick Day). It was after season and on sale, add to that free shipping and no tax and it was a great deal. Called to confirm they had it and they were very helpful over the phone. I wouldn’t hesitate to shop here again.

We went skiing at Sugarbush resort and stayed at a cabin nearby Dec 23 – 27, 2013 and rented our skis, boots and poles from here. We looked up a few places nearby and this was the cheapest option. They charged $ 55 for 2 days with an extra $ 20 per day after. We returned the skis late and just settled the extra amount then. The fitting went fine and the skis and poles were fine for beginner /intermediate skiers although I did feel the edges of my skis were a little dull and kept catching on the snow. We also bought cheap goggles($ 40) which were a great help. The only disappointment was that they wouldn’t return a pair of sunglasses we had bought from them a few days before even though they were fogging up and became useless on the slopes. The attendant refused to entertain our argument that they didn’t fulfil their function and considering we had just spent over $ 600 at their shop I was surprised they weren’t nice enough to refund the $ 20 for the glasses.

AO has hooked me and my wife up consistently for the past three years. After skiing from the age of three I took a fifteen year hiatus only to be reintroduced by my kids. AO stood by me for three years of demos and eventually sold me my new skis at a steep discount with additional savings for three days of demo costs. Here’s the rub: everybody knows how good the place is. That and the fact that its location on the access road means crowds during peak hours. Do yourself a favor and get your business done«off piste.»

AWESOME Service service service without that annoying MRV attitude. The staff really gives a crap about YOUR skiing or snowboarding. They don’t aimlessly compliment. The selection of equipment is great. The hours are great(late nights on Fridays). The prices are a little more on some things peak season, but that is to be expected, however they always have items in stock. In the summer they are open and they are more than happy to put items on sale then. I have been going here 15 years, I will go here till I can’t snowboard any longer, but if you need to get anything for winter, this is a great, friendly place to go!

Great selection of ski and snowboarding gear. And VERY patient staff. You can buy and rent skis. End of season sale is the best time to get pants and jackets at 40 and 50 percent off.
