Alberini’s Trattoria

I went here for lunch about a month ago with my husband and a friend. It was not busy when we arrived nor when we left.
Let me start by saying I don’t mind paying high prices for food with high quality or even great service. This however, was not even good food (let alone great) and the service had much to be desired.
Our waitress gave me the impression that we were an inconvenience to her, and it was a struggle to get drink refills and then containers to take our leftovers home.
I got a basic ravioli in a red sauce and I thought the sauce was absolutely awful, very thin and worse than ragu from a can. It didn’t even smell good, flavorless.
We had the hummus appetizer, which was fine but nothing to rave about, and my husband had a seafood dish which he said was ok. He had iced tea and I had water, our friend was on a separate check. We did not get dessert and our bill still came to over $ 50 somehow.
I feel that this place is thriving based upon its name and previous reputation, which is sad because I had high expectations upon going in and was very excited. I very much so love to support locally owned businesses.
The atmosphere was very nice, that’s probably the best thing I can say about the entire experience.

So happy to know that we finally have a great place to eat. Wonderful atmosphere, friendly and professional service and even better food. Can’t wait to come back. I would like to note also that I read the reviews here and see one guy upset about a mix up with his reservation. In the future, for an important event, call to confirm, that is a normal thing to do. This place is a diamond in the rough in our area and I sure hope to see it around for many years! Thanks for opening your restaurant here in the area.

Celebrating a birthday with family the server was amazing and a step up since the last time we were here. My pasta was average but the Sauce was amazing. The appetizer of calamari was good and the Asian sauce was good w it. The bread and salad were also good and fresh. All 8 of our foods were served hot and brought perfectly synced. Which is hard to do for most restaurant. Chooki was walking around and came to our table.
Very cool local attraction.

Food was delicious. Service was timely and friendly. Good beer and wine list. Great for families.

Absolutely Fantastic, we have been waiting to get time to go for dinner. My wife and I finally made it and the service was excellent and the food exceptional. We will definitely be going back, got seated quickly, drinks and food on the spot. Waiter was attentive and very friendly who could want more… Thank you.

This is the worst run restaurant I have ever visited. We had a reservation for over a month and when we got there that night we were told «sorry the manager that took that reservation should have known better about giving you that whole room on a Friday night». This was for a special occasion and our party of 18 were arriving in minutes. We were forced to stay as no other place could accommodate us on minutes notice. Not only were they miserably unprofessional in handling this but the table they gave us was 4 chairs short so some of us stood all night. We will NEVER be back! If I could give negative stars I would. Cannot say enough how unprofessional and unorganized they were. Do yourself a favor and if you’re looking to make reservations please do NOT call these idiots.

Food was incredible but we came on a Saturday for lunch and the place was basically empty, yet we were sat in a booth next to the kitchen where we had to listen to the loud, boisterous kitchen staff during our meal. Would’ve been far more enjoyable if we could’ve heard each other talk more or have a nice quiet meal. Excellent food though.

Ordered a pizza burger splash from here and I was very satisfied with it. It was cooked well and the sauce was good. I didn’t have any problems with my service. Will definitely be going back.

Don’t quite know where to begin. The interior is really great, loved the bar area. The inside lent an upscale vibe, but the service did not.
It took 20 minutes to get waited on at the bar, we had seats and couldn’t get waited on! While setting at the bar a kid from the kitchen comes out with the poorest excuse for a t-​shirt, I was shocked. Not only did you get a view of his bare back, chest etc, it was very inappropriate for that to occur in any restaurant let along one with Alberini’s reputation! That aside, the food was great. Always loved the food at Alberini’s and it didn’t disappoint! I’ll definitely go back but I think I’ll give them a bit more time to work the bugs out and find uniforms for the kitchen staff too. Oh yes, it was rather warm in there. The could use some additional cooling

We were two older women who went for an early dinner. We were shown to a small table for two in the back next to the kitchen door, even though many tables and booths were open as we passed through the main dining room. When we asked the hostess for a better table, she said the best she could do was to give us was one of two very large booths in an alcove at the back of the restaurant. We had to ask that the lighting be turned up to read the menus (and btw, our eyesight is just fine). That was the disappointing and embarrassing part. Our server was very nice, and our food was very good. We had crab cake appetizers and filet with a side of spaghetti. The sauce was as good as I remembered. The cheesecake with chocolate sauce was a nice way to end the meal.

This place has potential. But until they get a better wait staff, that’s all it will have. My fiancé and I were told there was a 45 minute wait. That was fine, but we left to run an errand while we waited. We returned after 20 minutes and were told that we had been skipped after they searched for us a little while ago. I understand that the wait times are an estimate, but we would have stayed had we known it would have been about 10 minutes. After, we were escorted to a table that still had crumbs on it. The wait staff ran around confused, not sure of what to do for the entire night. The food took a very long time to be served, and it was 15 minutes before the waitress returned our credit card and receipt. The food was okay, but if my fiancé and I return it will be long enough from now that the staff has a better idea of how to better serve their guests.

We heard about the opening and were excited to give it a try. We all really enjoyed our meals. I had the Veal Alberini, and it was really good. My partner had the Chicken Franchise, and it was awesome. What a great flavor. Our friend had the eggplant parmigiano, and she was very impressed.
Service was attentive and not overbearing. We will be back during our next visit.

We wanted to like the new Alberini’s restaurant, but our first experience made it tough. To recap:
The good:
–food was a 3.5 out 5
–nice location and ambiance
The bad:
–took 20 minutes to place a drink order
–took 2 hours to finish our meal
–clueless high-​school-​age wait staff
–my fiancé and I both suffered from stomach pain for two days after eating dinner
All in all we were disappointed. Hopefully the management can get some adequate service personnel and straiten things out. We may give it another try in a few months if we are brave.

It’s so nice to have Alberini’s back in the Valley. We were there on opening night and the food is the best I’ve ever had. Hot Peppers & Oil, Chicken Milanese, Amazing wine! As Carlo has said; What would you expect from Chooki Alberini? Called and ordered a pizza for after work tonight.
