They have improved! It’s been a few years since I last ate here, so I was a little nervous about eating here again due to subpar service. I’m pleased to say that it was one of the highlights of my day! Appetisers started with basil roll, noodle soap & spring roll was fresh and flavorful. Phad Tai noodles were very fresh and good as well! The waitress, Bike was a delight.

The food is good, the service is so-so. I went in for lunch and had the panang curry with tofu, which also comes with steamed/fried rice, your choice of soup or salad, and a spring roll, which I didn’t get :-). My sister ordered their sushi, which she enjoyed. Our waitress was okay. She wasn’t rude by any means, but she wasn’t great either. The interior of this place seems a bit run-down, and an unpleasant incense scent ATTACKS your nose when you walk in, but other than that, I’d go back.

I am writing this review on the 3 occasions I have eaten here over the course of about 6 months. The 1st time I went here I ordered the Pad Thai and it was one of the few occasions I’ve been to a restaurant and not finish my meal by A LOT! I don’t blame Sushi Thai entirely because my body was also craving chicken or beef and not sea food. But the texture and taste of the noodles threw me off and I ended could only finish the shrimp. The 2nd time I was here was with a group of around 10 people. I don’t recall what I ordered then because it was the better of the other two times I ate there and we only remember experiences that are really good or bad(right? haha) But it was rather enjoyable only because I was with friends but my meal was really expensive(I do recall that!) for the meal I ordered. Now the 3rd was the most unpleasant time I came. I ordered a simple Teriyaki Chicken that took 45 minutes to bring out, I was about to leave with my wife until the waiter finally brought the food. The waiter was cool and all but the food service wasn’t. When I asked the waiter why it was taking so long for the food, he said he wasn’t sure and we were around a busy day. I was okay with that because I know how it feels to be busy at restaurant. BUT, then he mention that he wasn’t sure why the chefs start cooking OTHERPEOPLE’S MEALSBEFOREMINEANDMYWIFE’S! That was when I was really upset. But we still paid for everything and left.

I came here with my mom one evening a few months ago. I had the fried tofu and the ramen. The sauce that came with the tofu made it less bland, but it definitely wasn’t marinated long enough. The texture was nice though and it was fresh so that was a plus. My mom ordered hibachi, chicken I believe, and she had no complaints. It was pretty slow when we went into and our server may have been a bit too attentive, but it was cool. He was very talkative and slightly awkward, but he did his job efficiently and was friendly so I’m not going to complain . I would go back.

For a long time this was our go to place for sushi and Thai food until it was impossible to overcome the horrible customer service. It just was completely unenjoyable eating here. We decided to take a break from this place for an entire year and only recently came back to see if anything had improved. Today we wanted to try and get lunch here and we arrived at 1:40 well before their close time of 2:30 only to be told that they were no longer receiving any customers because they had things to do. In the end the host(bless him) decided to accommodate us and sat us. Only to be glared at by the entire waitstaff. He actually had to apologize to the waitstaff saying that we would be the last people seated. We knew exactly what we wanted to that seemed to help the situation and we ordered. We were then however told that we needed to be out of the restaurant by 2:30 and so we would have to eat quickly. Again we said that would be fine. However we didn’t receive our food into 2:15 giving us a very small amount of time to be able to eat comfortably. On top of all of that the waitress got my husbands order wrong. When we pointed this out she simply said that it wasn’t her fault. This really is a shame considering that the food quality has improved since before but their service has worsened. Immediately after we received out meal we were asked to pay on the spot because again they had things they had to do. We ended up eating our entire meal in under 15 minutes and were rushed out of the restaurant. Again this is a true shame as the food is quite enjoyable.

REVIEWNOTE: I am not associated in any way with the restaurant in this review. I am also not associated with any other restaurant. This is a great restaurant. I have had the opportunity to eat at Sushi Thai at least 8 times during the past couple of years. Although I have always had the sushi, my friends have tried the Thai cuisine as well. We all agree that the food is consistently very very good, the staff is friendly and efficient, and that the management is visible, actively involved, and engaged with the customers. For sushi lovers, my experience has been that the fish is always fresh. flavorful, and presented with great care. Another important fact is that Sushi Thai regularly receives ratings of 99 and 100 — perfect — from health inspectors! This would be amazing for any restaurant, but for one serving raw food, it is stellar. The only downside for Sushi Thai is the location, which is tricky but not hard to find, and a couple of visits where there was trouble with the heating/cooling system in the restaurant. I encourage you to try Sushi Thai, and believe if you are a sushi or Thai food fan, you will enjoy this restaurant very much!

Pretty awful. Atmosphere was less than stellar. Stained ceilings and floor fans trying to circulate air in the place. Took us 20 minutes just to get our drinks of water. I just wanted a basic crab and cream cheese roll and was informed that I could substitute the salmon in another roll for crab instead. Also I did not want this roll fried so it really wasn’t the same as the other roll, yet they charged me for the more expensive style one. $ 8 bucks for a roll anywhere else that would be $ 3. The seaweed was very chewy and rice was falling off the roll. The side ginger salad I got, I was able to eat half of because the rest of it was butt ends of the iceberg lettuce. Definitely will not be going back again. I’ve had better sushi from a grocery store quite honestly.

I used to bring my family here on a regular basis until we had a really bad experience once and stopped coming altogether. My son and I had to pass through Warner Robins last weekend, however, and I’d promised him sushi, so we decided to give it another try. We arrived on a Saturday at 5:30 and were the only customers. I found that odd, but its also refreshing to dine out on a weekend and not have to wait for a table. Our appetizers came out perfectly. The fried tofu has changed shape, but that perfect creamy texture is still there. The sauce makes it ideal. The Sunomono was also perfect. Just the right amount of vegetables and dressing. Everything was chilled and crisp as it should be. I have no complaint with the dragon roll and eel roll. One thing I can say for Sushi Thai, they’re fairly consistent with their sushi. The spicy crab roll was pretty bland this go round though. My only real complaint with this visit was that we ordered a California roll as well as it never arrived. There was so much food that I didn’t even remember we’d ordered it until after we’d arrived home. No biggie, it just seems like with us being the only people in the restaurant, they wouldn’t have a hard time getting everything correct. Our waiter was polite and prompt. I did notice the young girl who made our visit such a nightmare last time(Very rude and had no qualms yelling at a waiter in front of diners) was still working there, so I’m not sure if I’m willing to make the drive back anytime soon. but my son had fun and the food was good so that’s all that matters.
