Meriwether Steak

Nice staff. Really slow. Food. Wasn’t. Baked oyster appetizer came out raw. Sent it back. Raw again. 3 Medium rare steaks came out well done. Way overrated and over priced. My daughters chicken bites and fries were pretty good. My steak had good flavor but this place is clueless IMO. Will not return

As far as steakhouses go, this ranks somewhere close to the bottom for me. I really had some high expectations, given the name and the location, I naturally assumed that they make steak from their own cattle. That’s not the case. The meat is advertised constantly as USDA certified. Is that really saying anything? Am I expected to appreciate that the meat is USDA certified? That’s a given to me!
— T-​bone steak was cooked correctly to medium, however it wasn’t seared much and the meat was below average quality for the price.
— Fried pickles were pretty good. Oddly, a few oysters were mixed in by accident. I didn’t mind, but for a person who does not like oysters, this would not be a pleasant experience.
— For cider, they put caramel on the rim of the glass. Pretty cool, except the caramel starts dripping all over the outside of the glass and gets messy.
— Atmosphere is ok. Its a bit of a weird space in my opinion, especially the small room where we were seated. It didn’t feel cozy or comfortable.
— Silverware is dirt cheap. You get a fork so thin that it should belong in a diner, not a steakhouse.
— Salad was pretty pathetic. Straight out of a store bag ingredients.
Overall, I wish I made the decision to drive by. Unfortunately, with no reception to read other Unilocal reviews, I had no luxury to get more insights before stepping inside.

Food was HOT which is the only positive. The quality of the meat is fair. It is completely overpriced. Service is slow. IT just not good.

When someone calls ahead and makes a reservation, chances are they do NOT wish to be seated in the bar! Ask, especially when seating is wide open, and the atmosphere is completely different than in the dining room. Salad dressing in a plastic to go cup with a lid. Roll basket one butter pack. Glasses in the bar are sized wrong. The pours are off and drinks are weak. Husband’s streak was cut wrong, fatty and served rare when he ordered it medium well.

This was absolutely delicious! We both had a great dinner with excellent service. Everyone was very nice and service was exceptional. Prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be back!
