the only thing worse then being told to purchase a grand finally firework assortment package, after asking for a motor and 8 inch cakes assortment package is listen to another inexperience employee«jared» the store manager«say sorry we didn’t get much training. atlas fireworks guys probably know more as we hired lot part time new hires this year. atlas fireworks i regret leaving you store to overpay and get fireworks for amateurs. over priced and unprofessional when it comes time to owning up to their mistakes and make things right they say«oops». go to a fireworks store that cares about there customers and will tell you information you can trust not just count the cash as you leave with sucker written on your back!

They have a good selection here, but their deals and sales are nearly impossible to keep track of. Last year I purchased enough to become a «Premium Member» which would entitle me to a special buy 1 get 1 free deal. However, when I returned this year(w/o my membership card) they refused to honor my membership. I was told that«they got a new computer system» since last year and while they could pull up my information, they could not determine my actual membership level. I think that’s just one of the sleazy-style business tactics they use. The people up front say one thing«buy x and you’ll get y», then you get to the cashier who will tell you a completely different story. I selected my fireworks in under 20 minutes and it took nearly 45 minutes to check-out. Not because of long lines, but because of the utter confusion of the staff to honor the deals they were running. Look. This place is really your only option for fireworks in the area. Just go in there with some patience and insist they honor their printed ads and deals. Don’t lose your membership card because that is clearly their way to screw you over.

Mortars and rockets and cones! Oh, my! Phantom has an enormous selection of fireworks with nearly all of it made in China. And you thought lead paint was bad. Fireworks — Massive selection. Most customers have multiple shopping carts FULL of stuff, and similar to a butcher shop, I wonder, «What are they going to do w/all of that?!» and«Can I come?!» Aerial repeaters range from $ 89-$ 179. Our major haul this year was the komodo 3000($ 179) — 500g 119 shots. Close to the 4th, they have buy one, get one for $ 0.99, so we get two of them for $ 180. *giggles like a schoolgirl* Make sure you check their website before you go. If you spend $ 400, you become a member of their VIP club and get some free stuff that day & a free t-shirt, as well as B1G1 year-round. And obviously, check your county laws to ensure legality. If you live in MoCo, I think glowsticks are the closest thing they’ll allow. So while you can’t have a fireworks show, you can have a rave party. Location — About 1.5 hours from the DC area and convenient access from I-70. If you’re a PA resident, you can’t get in. I went a week before the 4th and there was a line to get in, which took about 20 minutes. This is mostly b/c they need to register everyone who enters. Note: everyone over 18 needs to have a valid, non-PA ID. And for some odd reason, they told us that smoking wasn’t allowed inside. *shrug* T-Shirt — I must mention that they had one T-Shirt that read: Warning! Shoots Flaming Balls! I so should’ve bought it but I don’t think my wife would want to be seen in public w/me if I wore it. I close this review w/a Homer quote: «Celebrate the independence of your nation by blowing up a small part of it.»

If you want to get your hands on the craziest legal fireworks around… I’d imagine this is place. Think of it as a Wal-Mart for fireworks. The store is about that size… with only fireworks on the shelves. Every kind, shape, color imaginable. Stopped here while driving between Pittsburgh and DC. You must register with them and sign a release saying you will take the fireworks outside of Pennsylvania withing 48 hours of purchase. I’m pretty sure owning/using most of these fireworks is illegal in most states. But wow… I’ve never seen that many fireworks anywhere other than the Chinese New Year’s parade.
