Stopped in after skiing at Beaver Res. This has been a longtime tradition when backcountry skiing off the Peak to Peak highway north of Nederland. They’ve been running the Millsite for over 30 years now! Wow. It’s such a great place. Draws a diverse clientele. The calzone was stuffed with great ingredients and baked just right. The veggie sandwich was delicious and was on their delicious bread.

Divey-charming mountain restaurant with surprisingly delicious food. This old miner’s cabin feels like going back in time, and is usually quiet enough that you can sit by your very own wood burning stove. I especially love coming here in the snow. Cozy atmosphere, funky bar, and some of the best pizza around! They also have live music in the summertime.

Our waitress forgot the majority of our order she forgot our water she forgot our beer she forgot one of our entrées we had to ask three times and then told her to finally forget it. Also the place needs to be updated and it’s very gross

I had a terrible experience here. Yes, it was quaint and pretty, but the smell was overwhelming! The floors haven’t been mopped in at least a year. The one employee working that day had a charm about him… funny, under-his-breath comments, quirky… but he had the dirtiest apron and nastiest rag hanging from his hip! It was DISGUSTING!!! He was the only employee in the joint, so I feel badly for him, but the service just didn’t work. I had a burger and, since I’m gluten-free, no bun. I asked if he’d put it in a lettuce wrap. He assured me. Uck. I got a frozen patty that was dry and had some fake-looking grill marks on it. It was just sitting on a piece of lettuce with a half-green tomato slice and a couple of chunks of onions. Guys, it cost me $ 7.50? Maybe $ 8.50 for that. Nasty! Other people entered while we were waiting for our food and that helped, as there was a distraction for me, away from all of the dirt, the broken window with an old moth fluttering in it right by my shoulder, and the smell. Now, my friend ordered the MillSite pizza and said he liked it, but he was the one who wanted to stop at this joint. Our bill was over $ 38 for nothing much. He never brought us our check, so I took it upon myself to go back near the kitchen and to find our check, total the amount due, using the menu sitting nearby, put out the money and calculate a tip. The cook/waiter/dirty/old guy came over and was appreciative that I was helping him out and asked if I was leaving a tip. I said, «Yes. Mop the floors.»

Staying at peaceful valley ranch for a friend’s wedding. After hiking all day I needed a place to grab a bite to eat and a beer. Everyone made this Minnesota girl feel right at home! Not only were my chips and salsa and pizza delicious, the hospitality was great as well!

Stopped by here on a Sunday. Had a few beers and some good food. The service was excellent. There was a live band, fresh air, and small talk with other tables and the occasional bike rider filling up there water bottles from a cooler on one of the tables before they got back on their bikes and headed out. If your in the neighborhood stop in and check it out yourself.

I’ve stopped in a couple times. Great roadside stop, friendly people, good music. It’s great if you like the mountain vibe.

Stopped by here for lunch on New Year’s Day during a drive through the mountains. We both had the Sloppy Joe sandwich with fries. Excellent flavor and big serving size. The roll was made on site as was the meat and vegetable filling. The fries were hand cut here as well. Doesn’t get much fresher than that. Owner even treated us to some alcohol based ice cream that she made. Excellent as well! I skipped the homemade cherry pie that was on offer as I was too full. But I now wish I’d tried it. I’d urge anyone to try this place if you’re in the area. Quaint and cozy little bar with excellent food. I’ll be back.

The perfect spot to stop, relax and disappear into a different era and mindset. My husband and I were out motorcycling the peak to peak when the weather turned cold and miserable. We pulled into the mill site inn in search of reprieve and were pleasantly surprised. The clientele was laid back and the place had the perfect rustic charm that can only be found in an Authentic mountain bar. The drinks were cold, the fireplace warm and the music was spot on. We look forward to returning again and again!

We really had high hopes for this place! It looks so cute and charming and rustic from the outside… Nice and down to earth. Sadly it did not live up to our expectations. We were starting anyway and sadly we also experienced pretty terrible service. The staff was nice but the food took forever just ordering the food took forever and when it came out it … it was just warm and I never got the little side salad that I really wanted… The food wasn’t bad but it was just mediocre especially for the price… We got a Stromboli and the eggplant Garibaldi both were just fine… Nothing to write home about. The place was also kind of cold and certainly not the cleanest. I felt kind of bad we should have just eaten in Nederland!

Small town stop with simple décor and decent pizza. It’s a local bar by night with live music from time to time, otherwise a decent place for lunch if you are in the area. Don’t expect anything fancy.

Starving after a hike to Lake Isabelle, we stopped in to see what was on the menu. We stayed and enjoyed a hamburger for the kid, nachos for me, a tasty sandwich for the hubs and fries. They make their own pizza dough and bread daily. Service was a little slow but the food and interesting ambiance was worth the wait. We discussed a missing 74 year old hiker with our server who knew the woman. So sad. The dark wood inside the restaurant made it even sadder. Everything inside is dark. I mean, EVERYTHING. Even the server’s personality. No smiles but efficient.
