Liberty Kayak Adventures

The best thing that happened to my husband, daughter, and me was that we were closed out of all kayaking tours on a day trip to upstate NY. But by a stroke of good fortune, my daughter Google searched for nearby kayak tours and Mike, owner of Liberty Kayak Adventures, not only came to the rescue but provided a superbly enjoyable experience for our family. We are new to kayaking, only having done it once before in Chincoteague Island, VA, but no matter what your level of experience/​skill, Mike (who is ACA licensed) will easily adapt the tour to suit your needs, as he did with our’s. He is calm, patient, reassuring, knowledgeable, and thorough — you are in excellent hands. All the required equipment he provides are of high quality and he takes the time to perfectly match each kayaker’s needs to a perfect fit. The tours are highly flexible so he will take you where ever you’re comfortable exploring, and also make great suggestions along the way. We spent such a lovely, relaxing, and fun afternoon not only learning more to hone our skills and comfort level using the kayak, but also loving the area we explored in a customized and personalized tour.

My siblings and sister in law and I took a two hour kayak tour with Mike for my birthday on July 25^th and we had a fantastic time! We had all had a basic kayak lesson previously with LL Bean prior to this however Mike took the time to instruct us in paddling technique and getting in and out of a kayak without getting our feet wet! He was very patient and was nice enough to take photos of us on my special day. Mike is ACA licensed, which is a plus in making us feel safe. All the equipment was in excellent condition. He is a great tour guide, knowledgeable about the area. I recommend Liberty Kayak Adventures for anyone looking to have a wonderful kayaking experience. You won’t be disappointed!
