Cool Crafts

Disappointed. Went there today as a walk-​in with my kids. We were told to choose pottery to paint. The selection was incredibly small and most pieces were ones that just lay on a surface not 3 dimensional.
When we sat down to paint I asked how long it takes for them to fire the pieces and when they can be picked up. They told me they do NOT do that and you take them hope the same day with the chalky paint look???
Very strange and in my opinion not the way it should be done. I understand that this maybe a matter of opinion but I normally go to ARTrageous in Rockville Centre which is a drastic difference in quality and taste. They have 100’s of pieces to choose from and a ton of paints and colors.
Luckily we did not start painting and gracefully left. My suggestion is to step up your game and get the proper supplies. Heck I would invest if you need the capital

Great place to relax and paint. I often bring my daughter here for our ‘daddy & me” time and we both love going. Lisa and her team are always so nice and helpful. Prices are very reasonable with a nice selection of crafts to choose from. We’ve also had our daughter’s birthday party here and that went great! Great place.

Made my 4 year olds birthday so special! Everyone had a great time even the adults. They took care of everything and I was able to enjoy my daughters bday. Highly recommend cool crafts for a birthday party!

Cool Crafts has been a family run business for the past 8+ years. Lisa and her staff are fantastic and will gladly work with any age group. There are different party packages available, prices range depending on which crafts you choose to have the children personalize and decorate (plaster craft, combination banks, cork boards, accessory boxes, mini lockers, piggy banks, Stuff-​A-​Teddy and so much more) but every party lasts 1.5 hours and include: choice of pizza or bagels, soda and juice, coffee for the adults, paper goods, invitations, party hostess, game cube/​video games (age appropriate), music, dancing and karaōke, balloons, nail polish and tattoos. «Just bring the cake and the kids». Pizza can also be ordered for the adults if you wish. As a special keepsake for the birthday child to take home, a group photo is taken in front of a beautiful mural.
This time around, we did not go with the traditional party package because my daughter wanted to have dinner and cake elsewhere with her friends. So, Lisa worked with me. She arranged a time to have the children come to Cool Crafts after dinner and work on a selection of crafts, that we chose ahead of time. When they finished, the girls played video games and danced a little until their parents came. We just paid for whatever the crafts came to. I have to mention something special that Lisa did for me that was a complete surprise and totally unexpected. Even though the «goody bags» are the crafts that the children create, my daughter wanted to give something extra to her friends to place in the bags that the crafts go into. I completely forgot about it and luckily remembered on the way to the party. Party City was nearby, so I bought a couple of bags of candy and dropped them off at Cool Crafts before dinner. I asked Lisa to put them into the bags for me. Instead, she made up little individual candy bags and tied them each with a pink ribbon. She went that extra step to make sure my daughter’s day was perfect, and it was.
Besides birthday parties, Cool Crafts can also host many school groups, Boy/​Girl Scout Troop events and special needs groups. Individual classes are also available and summer programs are offered, check their website for the complete schedule. If you choose to have a party at home instead, Lisa will supply all the materials you will need to make it a great one! Even though the «birthday party» phase for my girls has now come to end, my younger daughter has already asked me if I could take her back to Cool Crafts so she can make more things on her own. I definitely intend to do that. The first party I ever had at Cool Crafts was for my older daughter’s 9^th birthday, and that was 4 years ago. I was so impressed then and even more impressed now.

My friend had her 25^th birthday part here and about 10 of us in our 20’s and 30’s sat a big table painting plaster craft and jewelry boxes for an hour or so. The staff was really really nice and attentive, helped each of us individually even though I’m sure we were an absurdly overwhelming group. If I had children, I wouldn’t hesitate to bring them here.
