So… Allegedly they were selling heroine out of this joint so they got busted and shutdown; RIP

The wings are better than you would find at most bars or even those chain wing joints, but their other menu items are sub-par. Blue chee is solid but one of my gripes is that they don’t give you nearly enough to go with the amount of wing you order. The buffalo sauces are really good and their hot is actually hot if you like a respectable heat that you can still consume without setting your mouth on fire. If you know Moody street then you are aware I the limited parking situation; they offer delivery but I’ve heard that it takes forever. I would say if your in it for just wings and don’t mind hunting down a parking spot then I would say this is a great bet!

Great place. Decent price for delicious wings. The only thing is that they kinda take a while to fry up some wings so you might want to bring something to read.

I often visit Waltham, MA for work and I am always looking for something to eat around here. Though I can get wings anywhere, I had a want for some wings. I looked at the reviews and they were mixed about the kings and delivery times(which I was needing). I ordering medium wings and extra blue cheese and because of what I read in their reviews, I wrote in the special instructions that I did want the wings over cooked. I was quoted an hour to get my food and it came in around 30 minutes. The wings were great! They were not over cooked, juice, and had plenty of sauce on them. The blue cheese was good too and I had plenty of it. I did not have anything else from Wing Express but their wings were definitely worth it. I will order from Wing Express when I am in town again. Short Story — Decent deliver times, great wings but make sure to note how you like your wings.

I ordered the food for delivery. Well, I appreciate the quick delivery, but the wings are not so good. Two flavors: lemon & pepper and garlic. BOTHTASTEGROSS! Both of them have strong«vinegar» smell in it! I can’t believe this place got four stars review.

My wife and I decided to eat here on a Friday night. The place was totally empty, which frightened us at first. However, I soon learned that it was because most people simply get the food to go, since there are only 5 or 6 small tables. I thought the wings were totally perfect! They would definitely compare with ANY I’ve had. The Spicy Teradactyl was awesome! The sides were another story. I ordered sweet potato fries, and they were almost cremated. Literally burnt to a crisp. But hey, I came for the wings. Also, there is almost zero service. Just one rather quiet and uninterested guy taking your order. They are a little on the pricey side too, but overall, I thought it was pretty good. If you’re just looking for really good wings, this is a good place. I would come back.

Chicken wings. Probably the most popular food at any bar in America. Easy to easy, no plate required — just grab and go, comes in a magnitude of flavors, relatively cheap, and quickly prepared. I guess Wings Express in Waltham didn’t get that last part of the memo. They got the rest of the check list covered though. They offer over a dozen flavors, and their chicken wings comes in bone-in or boneless. Their prices are pretty standard so there’s nothing to complain about there. Having a huge selection of flavors is not enough, they need to taste good as well. I’ve eaten almost everyone flavor on their menu except for the different variety of buffalo. My favorites include: Honey BBQ, Honey Dijon, Honey Oriental, Oriental, and Honey Hot. I haven’t had anything else here so I can not comment on that. The wings here are good. One of my go-to places for wings. When I say«go-to» I mean it. The delivery time here is terrible! The first time I ordered it took over 2 hours, I called and they said they didn’t put the order or it was lost, something along those lines. No discount or freebies… nothing, only«I’m sorry.» So then about an hour later I called to check on the status and was told the delivery guy just left. It took them over an hour to fry up some wings? Anyway, that was the first time I ordered from here. The only reason I’ve been going back is that they offer many flavors and can handle big orders. Every time I order for delivery, it would take about 2 hours. If you know you’re going to have a big party or if it’s a big order, make sure you give them a 2 hour cusion. If you don’t see or hear anything from them after an hour or so, call and make sure they didn’t forget your order. Going there is much quicker since they can’t really forget about you.

UPDATE2÷8÷2014 A coworker of mine really wanted to order from them today at work, so I went along with him, with lowered expectations after the last few experiences. The wings were perfect. They were perfectly cooked, just the right amount of crisp, juicy, and absolutely perfectly sauced. They were the wings that I remembered growing up. Please, owners, if you are reading this, whoever is cooking today, Sunday, 2÷8÷2014, promote them, give them a raise, a hug, and a beer.

This place is so shady a la drug cartel in disguise. Cash only? Mediocre food? No thanks. Still crossing my fingers for a Wings Over in Waltham…

I placed an order late on a Friday night(they close at ten, be aware) and went to pick it up. The guys who were still there were super nice to still put the other through even though I’d called literally 3 minutes before they closed. The wings were good(got honey mustard and buffalo medium) not amazing though. It’s a good go to option for Waltham for sure, but I would have to say Tri City Wings is my preferred spot still. A word to the wise, the buffalo medium was a little hotter than expected compared to other places, so if you prefer mild, I would take it a notch lower to suit your taste.

This place used to be amazing!!! SO What happened? Got takeout from Wings last night and they were gross. I was only able to eat one or two of them and had to throw the rest out. I feel like they lowered the quality of chicken that they use. Very disappointing, we are better off with a Wings Over in Waltham.

They told me 45 minutes on the phone. I waited until an hour and 15 to call. When I called they tell me that they lost my ticket and my food is being made right now and asked if I still wanted it. I said yes and he promised me it would be at my door in 10 – 15 mins. It took about 25 before I got it. Delivery driver apologized and went on to tell me that they lost my ticket. For the time I waited for this food and the price I paid it should have been amazing, but it wasn’t. It was average. Probably won’t be ordering from here again.

I’m done ordering from here — after waiting an hour and a half for 12 wings to be delivered, I called to see when they’d be here. They told me «something happened with the slip» and they could cook them now and bring them to me. And they could knock 2 bucks off the price for my troubles. The food is good but not even close to being worth the hassle.

Suicide 6-wing Challenge. No joke, the hottest wings I’ve EVER had! That being said, they also make some good honey BBQ wings along with many other tasty flavors for the heat seekers and tame wing lovers alike.

So I figured out the problem, one of the two cooks is also the delivery guy. Which is how my delivery order showed up COLD.(Ive also had their takeout before since I literally live a 2:30minute walk from their location. And when you have their food hot, its decent… which sorta sucks for me. However, this isnt about that. This is about delivery.) So my wings arrived so cold they were wrinkled. And when called to attempt to correct the situation the restuarant insited that they were in the right and refused offer any type of resolution to the problem. Their wings are hot and decent if you grab takeout, as I stated earlier. But not good enough for me to excuse their inexcuseable delivery and customer service. Just because they seem to believe they have the best wings in Boston, lets face it, they’re no Wings Nazi. I wont be abused alongside the rest of the Seinfeld cast for a 7pc and onion rings. Buffalo Wings have never been hard to find ;) Next!

Gets the job done as far as I’m concerned. You get several large, succulent wings doused in your favorite sauce for such a reasonable price. I typically take the rest home in case I have a ravenous spicy craving. I would suggest starting off with the classic buffalo before moving onto other flavors. I like all things extremely spicy and the classic buffalo was almost to that level, but not quite. This allows you to taste more of the chicken and less pure spice, which is fine by me. It comes with a few celery sticks and ranch. Someone I know told me a story about one of our friends who participated in the wings challenge. Apparently, they bring out a plate with the scorcher sauce that makes everyone in the place cough because it is so strong. This individual, after completing the challenge, crawled up in a fetal position outside of the restaurant. Then, without a word, he took off running to Lizzy’s across the street to get some ice cream. BEWARE! I know for a fact that this kid loves spicy food, so this is no joke. Whatever you do, do not touch your eyes!

I think the name is an ironic joke to the un-initiated, but perhaps they should have explained that. I showed up at 1:20 on a Wednesday and ordered a chicken sandwich. I thought the 15 min wait I was quoted was a bit long given it was just me in the place, but it wasn’t deterring. But wait. there’s more… more wait… get it? It took 25 min for the sandwich to come to culinary fruition. Was Gordon Ramsey back there making them redo it 7 times? Not one other customer came in, no phone calls, and one employee even left while I stood there. No real apology from the staff… just sorry… here. How was the food? Ordinary. The bulkie roll was cheap and crappy and overtook the sandwich somehow while the chicken and sauce were run of the mill. It ran me $ 7.15 for just that… not worth it on any level. I can get wings/chicken sandwiches at about 50 other places in the area… I see no reason for a second shot here.

Doesn’t matter if they’re boneless or bone in, Honey BBQ and Butter BBQ are most definitely for the win.(see the rhyme? no? maybe? ugh.) They’re super cool about taking phone orders, free delivery, and I have yet to try a sauce that hasn’t tickled my tastebuds. Fried ravioli and cheese fries with bacon also go great with our little winged friends. They can be a little skimpy with the bleu cheese, but they’re otherwise a consistently delicious experience.

Tonight was a Wings Express night. I’ve had wings from here before, and I do have plenty to say about the place(the wings are great, the delivery does take forever, the fries are meh, the staff is cool…), but right now I need to dedicate the bulk of this review to my friend Jon and the SUICIDALSIXCHALLENGE. That’s right, Wings Express has a challenge. This is relatively new(I think the guys said it started this year). The Suicidal Six Challenge is as follows: you have 10 minutes to eat 6 of the hottest/spiciest wings ever. If you succeed, you get a t-shirt and your picture on the Wall of Fame. If you fail, not only does your picture go on the Wall of Shame, but you’ve also just wasted $ 8 and are still(possibly) hungry. My friend Jon defeated this challenge tonight, but it was far from easy. There are a lot more pics on the fail wall than on the win wall. The wings are absolutely killer — and I didn’t try them, this is just judging by knowing my friend’s tolerance and seeing him turn red and watery and watching his muscles start twitching out. So for $ 8 you get these 6 demonic wings, a bottle of water, and a shot at eternal glory. Good luck. Okay, other relevant details for those of us who aren’t «suicidal» — I love the Honey BBQ. I’ve recently decided to forego side orders as I haven’t come across one that’s worth sacrificing stomach space for. I’d rather eat a couple more wings than add soggy fries into the mix. As I said before, delivery is slow(at least it has been the few times I’ve gotten it). Generally these are things that would deduct stars, but the quality of the wings and the character of the place keep it at an even 4 stars. As other reviewers said, it’s not really a sit down place. They have tables and chairs and a tv, and if you do the challenge you do have to eat there, but it’s a wings place designed for take-out and delivery. It doesn’t pretend to be more than that. For good wings, a place with character, and maybe even a shot at fame and glory, it’s worth checking out Wings Express. PS — you could always hit bars on Moody Street first and see which of your drunk friends decides to do the challenge too. UPDATE: So Jon spent most of the night booting his brains out(think«burst multiple blood vessels in his eyeballs» booting!) In other words, this is not a challenge for the weak — be prepared.

I tend to agree with most of the 4 and 5 star reviews. This is a take-out place — so don’t judge a book by it’s cover! I’ve come here many times since I have family and friends who live in Waltham. I’d estimate at least once a month I’ll order a bunch of wings and sides for us. I only get the Medium Buffalo wings, on the bone only, with an extra side of celery and blue cheese. I’ve tried the Butter BBQ and Spicy BBQ variations and both are delicious as well. The wings themselves are a pretty good size. If you get a small order with a side or two, you’ll be full or at least content. One time I did order the burger which was FANTASTIC. I think it was like 4 dollars and it was thick(probably a good 8-ounce patty) and cooked medium(didn’t have an option). I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to not get stuffed on just hot wings. The sides are small for $ 3, in my opinion. One recommendation would be to offer large sides for sharing. I always get Mac or Potato salad, Mac and Cheese, and extra celery with blue cheese. One last piece of advice: if you are sensitive to spicy food, get the mild buffalo. We had a party for my uncle a couple months ago, and pretty much my entire family(besides me and my bro) thought the wings were just too hot to be medium. I’ll probably be checking in here in the next week or so.
