Wendy’s

I feel like there is a problem every time I come to this Wendy’s location. The service here is awful. The food is usually average but often below average. But the customers are probably the worst thing about this place. There’s always someone in there causing a scene, or there’s a massive group of people that come in so I don’t get my food for half an hour. I’d try to avoid this place.

A few days ago, I traveled over to Waltham to go to the original Château. Following my and my parties experience, we all wanted something ice-​cream like, and Frostys are amazing from Wendy’s (as is EVERYTHING from Wendy’s … so much better than all of the junk at McD’s). Plus, the Waltham Wendy’s was only a hop, skip and jump from the restaurant.
The restaurant IS in desperate need of renovation, as most of the other Wendy’s are in a new style in this day-​in-​age (it’s almost 2016, get with the renovations, Wendy’s Waltham, –2 stars).
Additionally, the drive thru speaker was broken, in place there was a sign telling people to move to the next window to place their order. The guy at the window was extremely friendly, funny and attentive to both the drive thru and inside line. Plus, as normal the Frostys were delicious (when aren’t they?). Great Wendy’s, just in need of renovation and drive thru fixing. 3 stars. (Hopefully, one day I can update with a 5 star for the amazing staff here.)

I always order the baconater at Wendy’s, and have decided to lessen my fast food visits to chains like Wendy’s, McDonald’s and Burger King because of the inconsistencies. The baconater tastes different, depending on the shift that you visit. Sometimes it’ll be the best burger, but sometimes it’ll be charred and hard to chew. I am giving it a 3 star because of the inconsistency of the burger throughout various shifts for the burgers, and also fries. The fries (when hot) are great, but when it’s old and possibly just sitting there for a while just taste nasty. Oh, also there are some great individuals working here. However, there is a fast talking employee who needs to listen to customers instead of hurrying them through their orders– especially while I was placing my order in mid sentence and making me wait for approx. 15 mins (with no customers in line). The 3 star is for the quality of food and service. Good luck!

Andor is a hassle constantly try’s to get more money from you. I get trying to get convince a customer to get more but it was simply annoying when I say that’s it for my order that’s it. Also saw a few flies flying around near the register. If you want a decent fast food expierence go across the street to McDonalds.

After work on Friday we would come for dinner the food is ok but one of the employees (ander) should not work there he is rude i was leaning back in my chair and he came over and told me to stop leaning or i would need to leave wtf

This is a good Wendy’s to go to if you need a burger fix late at night as they have long hours and you get what you’d expect.

Slightly slow service is the only reason why I am not giving 5 stars, but their service is superior in terms of friendliness and getting my order right. I have been going here for the past 4.5 years and love coming here. You will find they do a great job.

I was wondering why the stars at this restaurant are so high, but then I saw that the most recent review was earlier this year. Let me update you…
I don’t eat fast food often, but I figure Wendy’s is as good as any other place. Maybe other Wendy’s restaurants are, but not this Wendy’s.
The first time I visited in July, I ordered the new pretzel bread burger because I LOVE pretzel bread, so how could this be bad? Well, it was bad because I took two bites and tossed it. The pretzel bread was hard and very, very tough to chew. I guess they kept the buns in a warmer too long or not enough. And WTH did they do to their fries!!! The fries at this location are lukewarm and limp as wilted lettuce. However, I believe in giving places a second chance, especially big chains that maybe have workers who are not as diligent about changing out bread and making fresh french fries.
So at visit number two, I got a single with cheese combo remembering how bad the pretzel burger was. And again, the bread was hard and tough to chew. And they still serve limp french fries. Apparently this location has trouble with its bread machine and its french frying machine.
If you’re determined to have fast food, go to the McDonald’s across the street instead.

Fast food is fast food, though Wendy’s has some good stuff (Frosties!). What differentiates fast food restaurants is service and service at this location is wonderful. And the line is well-​organized, unlike the McDonald’s across the street which has unclear lines and where you never know who is in line vs waiting for food vs just standing there.

I love Wendys, but this place has some of the slowest service that I’ve ever seen ’round the clock. The food is on par with other Wendys that I have been to though. Late night, it’s super sketchy.

Service inside sucks, but the drive thru was better… guess that is where they focus all the attention!

Gosh, this is a toughie. I used to love going here for late night snacks. The food has always been consistent, which is good. However, I have been short-​burgered (like being short changed, but with fewer burgers than ordered) more than once. Also, I wish they’d just give you a ketchup instead of making you ask for it!

My last trip here was awful, I go to the drive thru, expecting to make a very simple order, and getting my order quick. Wrong. I wait for about 10 minutes at that damn drive thru order screen. Eventually I get pissed that no one is taking my order and drive up to the window where u pay, irate I begin to complain, and the employee does absolutely nothing but tell us to go back around. Now why would I do that after I just wasted 10 minutes on nothing. Horrible service here almost always. Avoid this wendys

Went here for a quick snack tonight after work and the food was food. We got 2 of the Crispy Chicken Sandwich’s and 2 of the Spicy Nuggets. The chicken was actually crispy and tasted good. The nuggets were also just made fresh. The staff is great and provide good service. They even bring food to your table if something that you ordered was going to take some extra time, which is always a nice gesture. I had a good experience here today and probably still will in the future. :)

For a Wendy’s, the food is pretty consistent and the location is usually pretty quiet. I’ve seen that there are two especially busy times: weekdays after 3pm (middle schoolers) and late nights on weekends (college students). The establishment is very well kept and the employees are kind and helpful.

Wendy’s has always had the best fast burgers around but they’ve had trouble with their french fries. Now, among loud trumpets, they have heralded a new french fry, claiming it is crispy and more delicious because it still has the skin on it and it has sea salt. Well, I think they passed up a big chance to really move up in the fast burger business. The new fries are only slightly better than the old ones… they are stretching the point by calling these crisp. Their burgers are still good. but what’s a burger without a really good fry.

I have always liked Wendy’s burgers and fries. And the food at this location is just as good as all the others.
Their service is superior to all other fast food places. Michael, looks to be a manager, makes sure your food is good. He walks around the dinning room and asks to clear people’s trays, offers to get customers refills on their drinks. He is providing the type of service you expect at a sit down restaurant.

I’m a big fan of Wendy’s over other fast food restaurants, but this Wendy’s is pretty good by any standards. The staff are very friendly, the food is good and always prepared how you ask for it, food is fresh and restaurant is clean.
As I said, I’m a bit partial, but I’ve been willing to walk 3 miles to go to this Wendy’s when I could walk to a BK 1 mile away.
They’ve been having some issues with the town of Waltham regarding their late night hours so they are temporarily open until 12am until further notice. More information can be found via the Daily News Tribune at
