Defiantly disappointed Pre ordered game food and not only was I upset when all my pizza was smushed in a corner but when I called the manager argued. swore at me. And hung up on me. So disappointed.

This place is decent not the best place but not the worst. The calzone I get are usually over cooked and burnt but the blue cheese they give me with it usually helps ease my pain lol. The pizza is really greasy and not that great but the wings here are actually really good surprisingly. The customer service is very good and that’s why I’m giving them. 3 star review rather than a 2

3 stars seems light for this place. I have lived in Waltham for three years and never tried the pizza because the reviews were sub-standard. I have to say, the pizza is actually pretty good. Crust was better than almost any place that delivers in Waltham. San Marzano tomato sauce decent toppings and good Caesar salad to boot. Good enough to definitely give them a second shot. Delivery was fast and the prices were good as well!

Great food. Good friendly service. Love the pizza. Regardless of when I order product is consistently good. French fries are steak fries and delicious. Discovered them after a shopping expedition at the Saturday Waltham Farmers Market. Now my regular stop every Saturday and several days in between.

I flat out do not understand how this place only has a 2.5 rating on Unilocal.I go here often, probably too often(1 – 2 per week) and I’ve lived in Waltham for a little over a year now and this place is one of my «go-to’s». I’ve had pizzas, wraps, sandwiches, etc. I live nearby and often pick up my orders, so perhaps their delivery food is the issue. That said, their pizza is pretty decent thin-crust; their wraps are huge; and they do a great job with the chicken parm sandwich also. I did order the pastrami sandwich for lunch once and it was a little on the small side, but taste-wise was still delicious. I’d recommend this place to anyone for pick-up or dine-in so long as you know it’s an informal café atmosphere. They definitely deserve more than 2.5 stars!

Decent food, horrible customer service! I placed an order online and went to pick it up. After bringing it back, I discovered that they gave me the wrong food! I called and explained to them that I was given someone else’s order and that I would like my correct order. They told to come on back and my order will be ready. It’s only a few minutes from where I work, so it wasn’t really a big deal. But when I got there and explained my situation, they said that someone else had already picked up my order. How’s that even possible when I’m the one who called them?! The woman then gave me a rude look as if I was trying to scam them out of a $ 5 sandwich and asked one of their cooks to make my order. After waiting a few minutes, she gave me my order with another rude look and walked away. No apologies for messing up my order(twice) or anything! I will now be taking my lunch business elsewhere. Pro Tip: check your order when picking up your food!

This is my ‘late-nite’(for Waltham) guilty pleasure that’s right by home. I think their service has improved a lot since my Brandeis days, though I’ve never ordered delivery. They were pretty standard on the phone, ready in 10 – 15 minutes. Some of their wraps/subs are among the cheapest in the area. I’m partial to their buffalo chicken. To be honest, their fried chicken is only a step above Wendy’s or Burger King, but no drive through time to question your life choices. I would *not,* however, classify them as a NY Deli by any stretch. I feel like they’re playing on the NY transplants at Brandeis and Bentley who will probably only ever order delivery to identify with the name.

So, I live on the other side of Waltham, and while looking through several take out menus my boyfriend collected, I found this one which delivers. That night I ordered a simple small cheese pizza, and I was impressed at how picture perfect the pizza looked right when I opened the box. It tasted just as good as it looked. Of course later I had to go there to eat… and I have been back many times, and every time I’ve left satisfied. I’ve ordered a couple different kinds of pizzas, and as a french frie lover… once I saw they served fresh steak fries I was like«HEAVEN»!! In all seriousness, there are so many pizza places… and this one stands out as the best around. I’ve been to a few alright pizza places in Waltham… but this place has been nothing but a treat every time :) As simple as many may think it is to make a pizza… crust, sauce, cheese… it’s much more than that. You can tell when the crust is well cooked, cheese is fresh and the sauce is hearty. It is hard for many business’ to be consistent with a good basic pizza — and NYD’s got it down. Ok ok you get my point :) Service was good and welcoming. Many pizza places don’t always take the time to serve to your table, as many places just call your number(hey it happens during a rush it’s no big deal at other places) but going an extra inch always leaves the customer more pleased. Maybe next time I’ll try the sandwiches and other options. It’s just been a while since I found a pizza and fries(comfort food for me) that hits the spot without anything to be picky about. And it was affordable and not pretentious like other pizza places from my home town. Well worth a visit for new comers and I will obviously be going back :) UPDATE1÷14÷2015: I spoke too soon… the last pizza I had there was made with different ingredients, it tasted like Lunchables make your own pizza… bland…cold…and I ordered a full pie. Also the people there were a little cold as well.

Good pizza, quick delivery and fair customer service. They actually have good crust, not the usual greek style pizza at all. The wings are good as is the reuben. Until I find a better place in Waltham I will be ordering from here. I’m not sure about the in store service since I’ve always ordered delivery(I have walked by though an it looks clean inside) but they are always quick and the orders are accurate.

Love this place! I ordered at 7 p.m. on a Monday night for a corporate lunch that needed to be delivered by noon the next day. 35 different orders — they got every one correct and it was all delicious! From salads to paninis to gyros to subs, this place is fantastic.

Good food. Love the Italian cold cut calzone. Steak gyro is good as well. Ordering on their website is super easy and convenient. They overcharged me once and I let it go -$ 3. They also forgot my drink and went back to get it. I would recommend the restaurant and it’s workers double check to make sure orders are in the bag and pricing is correct.

Let me begin by saying that the ONLY reason for this high rating is the«Reuben» sandwich. My wife had a calzone, and it was pretty good. It had a good crust, and the filling was sufficient. However, I had the Reuben, and it was the best one I’ve ever had! The kraut is not too tangy, and the dressing is slightly sweet. Having said that, the service pretty much sucks. They took a really long time, and gave us warm water to drink right out of the tap! So, go for the Reuben, and just get it to go.

I used to order Pizza from here once a week for the past year and a half, as even though they are not the closest we liked them the best. Then over the past month I first got a pizza where the box had been tilted to one side and all the cheese and toppings were off the pizza. When I called to complain I was told I would be given a «credit» on my next order. the next order sure enough I had a 3 $ credit, for a 17 $ ruined pizza. then tonight, our pizza arrived and was burnt, since I now check the pies when they get here I showed it to the delivery girl who shrugged. I called to complain and wound up getting argued with and talked down to… They have lost my business and I hope you will think twice about ordering from them, as being accountable for their food is apparently something they don’t care about

I’m not sure how this place couldn’t be getting all 4 – 5 star reviews, after reading some of the recent ones I had to leave my feedback. The food is always good, I’ve never had a messed up order. I’ve never had a negative experience with any member of staff, and I go there about once/week on my lunch break with all my co-workers. The Dagwood sandwich, the Roast Beef, and the chicken parm are my «go-to» lunches there.

Let’s be honest with each other. If you are drunk and it’s late at night and you don’t want to leave your house, this is the time when this place gets business. The woman who owns it or runs it is basically the devil. She will laugh at you, yell at you and make you go through sheer hell for your BLT sub. The food is decent. Nothing special. The delivery drivers are nice and the prices are ok. I wouldn’t ever go here during the day but after a night out? Yeah, I am probably calling NY Deli. Did I mention I have gotten food poisoning from them before? That was years ago so I forgave them but it still freaks me out. I don’t order their food much, maybe twice a year tops, but it’s been fine for awhile. If you can deal with the lady on the other end of the phone then you are tough and I admire you. A friend of mine actually yelled back almost 5 years ago and to this day she answers for them and says«f*** you, don’t ever call here!» so watch your mouth kids and deal with her nonsense for that drunken munchie meal.

Ya know I like this place. The employees are always nice to me. I love their marinara sauce. Pizza is good, I haven’t had their sandwiches yet but will try soon. I don’t know why people hate on this place soo much! Also my orders for take out is alway quick. Never had delivery.

I think the staff is very friendly and they remember your favorite orders. The place is clean. I’ve ordered delivery and also eaten at the establishment. The food is prepared in a timely manner and I’ve never had an issue with an order. I would highly recommend the reuben, chicken alfredo pizza, and the burger. The price range is reasonable overall. I used to eat there a couple times a week and only stopped because I’m on a budget now. They are open until 11pm every night of the week, WHICHISAWESOME! My roommate would also like to add that the steak bomb is da bomb. The end.

Such a struggle for me to add that third star! I still can’t believe I did it. Here’s the deal: the pizza here, in my estimation, is the best in the area, which pisses me off because I hate this place. The staff always seems distracted and annoyed at your presence, as if patronizing the establishment at which they are employed somehow gets in the way of their good day. They have no compunction about saying«what?» or yelling at you across the room to tell you your food’s ready, or, for that matter, completely ignoring your presence. And about the pizza, it’s excellent thin-crust, Neapolitan style brick oven pizza – that is, if you happen to get there at the time that a fresh one is just coming out of the oven. Otherwise, skip the slice and order a pie, because they let the slices sit out in a little warmer for hours. Gross. But if you don’t mind feeling like an annoyance and perhaps getting it stale and burnt, you should at least try the pizza here. As far as quality pizza goes, Waltham is certainly not a high contender in this department despite the horde of pizza places nearby(Anna’s, Sabatino’s, Prospect Street, Upper Crust, Angelo’s, etc. etc.). It’s so convenient that this place is on my street, but I only go if I must have pizza right now! If you’re in the mood for any other type of experience, go anywhere else.
