5-stars for a dive bar with fantastic rotating beers and bar food. Daily specials and great wings and nachos. Lots of live music, great juke box, and lots of local beers.

My friends and I went for dinner on a Saturday night and had a great time. The food was great, and the servers were really attentive and friendly. Around 10 pm, they cranked the music up a bit too far for our liking, but were really nice about adjusting the volume once we asked. We’ll definitely go back.

Service is excellent, and the food is great! Fantastic wings! Hollywood is the best! Great place to watch games, hear some live music, or just hang with friends.

Joco’s is a great bar that has a neighborhood feel. The service is outstanding, the food is incredible and entertainment is worth the visit. The storefront doesn’t lend itself to the spacious number of tables and bar seating. The selection is plentiful(beers, drinks and food). This bar(should I say restaurant) is worth a visit, then a repeat visit, then a threepeat visit.

I love this establishment. I live in Cambridge and drive over to Waltham on a fri or sat night for good reason. The staff is friendly, the owners are great and hang out at their own bar. There is always live music, not only do they support the music community but they always have a great mix of artists and styles. Parking isnt too bad on Moody. The people at this bar are friendly, the opposite of pretentious and its easy to start a conversation up with anyone. Also they have well priced food and drinks and the game is always on.

Doesn’t look like much from the outside but great spot for lunch! Amazing paninis and sandwiches. Recommend the prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich and the sweet potato fries.

If you are looking for a place to drink a beer and watch sports, then this is a good place to be. But if you are looking for a restaurant experience, I would never recommend this place. I ordered wings, quesadilla, and a garden salad. The last two items were okay but the wings were too greasy and a few of them were undercooked. The chicken wings were not marinated beforehand and cheap sauces(things that you can find in a bottle at any supermarket) were poured over them.

My favorite place on Moody to hang out to listen to music and watch Boston sports. They have good bar food, and always a good selection of beer to choose from. Everyone who works there is friendly and attentive. The owners are some pretty awesome people. I would recommend stopping by!

Joco’s is a nice bar for the occasional drink. The kitchen is tiny and it cant accommodate high volume orders. They had a nice selection of beers on tap when we were down there which is always nice. It just seems with all the restaurants opening up in Waltham, Joco’s would try to have better selection and menu

Best place on Moody, hands down. Attentive staff, intimate pub setting, best rotation of beers on tap, and great food. The owners are always present and are always looking to make the place better with every visit. They are never shy to turn someone away that will disrupt the atmosphere and never shy to welcome someone in with open arms to enhance it. Jocos is the kind of place you look for. It is a destination place. It is a great local place.

I usually go to the Gaff, but I tried to go one night during trivia night and it was packed. My friends and I decided to try Joco’s and loved it. The wing flavors are delicious. The drinks are fun, the beer selection extensive. The bartenders are friendly and attentive. Overall, this is a great place to spend an evening!

Joco’s is great. I am always satisfied by the menu. I went for the 25 cent wings on Monday. I wish I knew sooner. Their wings are really good. I suggest the honey buffalo and garlic parmesan. Solid pub in Waltham. There are a lot of new places but Joco’s is still one of the best.

I’ve been here very Monday for the past month and a half. They have a great wing night and beer selection. 25 cent wings all night. You can get the wings in any combination of flavors(2BBQ, 5 plain, 3 maple buffalo, etc). They have a large selection of flavors and the wings come with celery and ranch or blue cheese at no additional charge. The wings are crispy and delicious. The staff is very friendly. I’ve only ever been on a Monday from around 5:30−8, but it’s never been overly crowded. They have other great specials like burger and beer for $ 5 on Tuesdays, half priced apps during a Patriots game, and free wings from 4 – 6 on Fridays!!! They also have live music Wednesday-Saturday with no cover. It’s my new favorite spot!!!

Wow haven’t updated this in a while even though I’ve been a handful of times. Was meeting a friend who lives in the area to head down to the Celtics game last month and we decided to meet at Joco’s. My 5 year old loved his tenders and fries and I polished off some wings which were quite good. Good size and great crisp. Their beer selection is great for a smaller place and they make a killer chocolate milk according to my expert.

I went here on a Monday to try their 25 cent wings. The boyfriend and I got 10 wings(we weren’t very hungry) a bread plate and two Heinekens. The beers were $ 5 a piece which was ok but not the best. The bread plate was around $ 6 which was overpriced for what it was. Should be priced around $ 4. A good amount of bread served with flavored oil and some sort of goat cheese concoction that tasted great but looked like vomit. Wings were very good and very fresh, and for $ 2.50 ten wings was perfect. The waitress/bartender was very nice but she seemed like she needed someone else there to help, she didn’t have a spare second the whole two hours we were there. For $ 20 it was a good night, but would have been even better if we would have skipped the beers and just had some when we got home. I’ll definitely be back for more wings but probably not a bread plate or a Heineken. They probably sell other beers much cheaper and i would get more enjoyment out of $ 6 of fries than $ 6 of bread. Props to the bartender for being such a trooper.

I first reviewed this place in 2011, shortly after buying a house nearby. I loved it then and they have improved so much! First let’s talk bar tacos. They have really goddamn tasty bar tacos. They are very simple, but with fresh ingredients and cheap. They do free wings on Fridays. These wings started off as «well they are OK and hey, free wings» and now are«These are some tasty wings» They’ve added taps(not sure exact count, but at least 20 I would say). The place has gone a bit more upscale and more beer-nerd friendly in the past few years. I think they have 1 throwaway tap(bud lite?) with the rest being a constantly rotating and creative mix of crafts. They tend to have too many IPAs sometimes, but that’s something I quite like. Also, the(amazing!) Gaff across the street usually limits their IPAs to 1 or 2(total respect) so it makes Joco’s a perfect complement. The staff are great. The owners super nice. The food is really decent. This is very much a neighborhood pub and a really good one. As mentioned, the Gaff is across the street. When I say the Gaff is the best craft beer bar in New England, I’m insulting the Gaff. It’s amazing at that one thing, while also having great cocktails and pretty good(but very limited) food menu(and a very well done interior). It’s also way too small and too popular. Jocos is the perfect alternate and allows us to trek down to the area without hesitation, knowing we’ll find good seats somewhere. Jocos does get crowded at peak times, but it’s somewhat bigger and has more elbow room in general.

It really wouldn’t be very fair of me to submit a review of this one at this point since they have so much to offer and all we did today was lunch. It’s small and comfortable and there are no less than 7 TVs for your viewing pleasure. Each one had a different game going with the volume on one, which I guess is the one they deem most important. Service was very good but the food was slow. We’ll be returning at another time for some music and a little of the Waltham nightlife.

Hopped over a little bummed after learning The Gaff across the street was packed. But had a positive turn of events! Went out w friends after work for appetizers and drinks. It was a little unclear in the beginning who was helping, but once we sought help was acquainted by an immensely enthusiastic, gregarious bartender who helped us with our order for the night. Informed us of different nightly specials/events. Food and drinks were solid! Definitely coming again. About 9pm it got very packed and a bit loud.

Great bar with excellent service and bartenders! Came on a Tuesday night to watch the Bruins and ended up staying for dinner and trivia. Joco’s has your normal bar fare with plenty of options. We started with the meatball sliders for an appetizer, they were very good but next time I would of requested extra marinara sauce on the side. For meals we both got a panini’s, both sandwiches were massive and the Iggy bread was fresh. The hand cut french fries were a nice surprise! The beers on tap are a great variety, the bartenders are more than happy to have you sample any you would like to try. They do have a full bar as well as wine. Just a note(as we learned yesterday) if you do want a bottle of wine, they re-stock on Wednesday’s. Meaning if you were like us on a Tuesday they may not have a full bottle for you to buy. Joco’s is not very large but there are plenty of tables for large and small parties if you get there at a reasonable time. The bar is a great spot to watch all of your sports games, they do have the NFL package so if you want to watch Sunday Football this is a great place to go. The bartenders here are great! Super fast service, very attentive and are always a next step ahead anticipating if you want another drink or anything. I love and appreciate service like this! Trivia on Tuesdays starts at 8:30pm and the bar was very packed around this time, if you want to get a table or a spot at the bar with your friends, make sure you come early. They also have live music at 9:00pm during the week/weekend as well. Parking is tight like any other place on Moody st, Chestnut st is your best bet as it is the largest and closest parking lot to Joco’s.
