Unassuming from the exterior(it’s tucked into a strip plaza). I bought my boyfriend a beer brewing kit and noticed that they advertised home brewing supplies. I made a mental note to check it out the next time we ran out of beer, which is usually every 36 hours. Don’t judge me. We went in, were warmly welcomed by the woman behind the counter. We did go in to check out their beer selection, as most places in the area have small but satisfactory craft beer selections. First we stopped in at their home brew supplies and I tell ya what, it was impressive for a small place. Glass carboys, several types of malts and hops(which they will grind for you), bottles, airlocks… you name it, they have it. We made a mental note to come back once we’ve gotten off our lazy behinds and commit to the brew. Traversed to the back of the store and that’s where the magic happens… tons of craft beers. Tons. I know that monstrously large beer stores(who shall go nameless) are a Mecca for beer selection but I don’t like to go there, namely because a) people do not know their beers there and b) keep it local, bro. We probably appeared like potential shoplifters, that’s how long we were pacing the aisles in the back. They had Stone Ruination. They had Foolproof. They did have Miller Light, moderately priced. They had it all. Basically, we found Heaven in Walpole.

I love this store, excellent selection. This is also where I got the idea and the supplies for brewing beer.

The staff is extremely helpful at recommending various wines or beer, and they will NOT try to take advantage of you by trying to sell you something overly pricey. You come in, they ask if you need any help — say, I’m looking for a chardonnay. Well, they then ask you your price point and then will explain the various types of chardonnay. very knowledgeable of product, and will not try to sell you something out of your budget to make a sale. I took off one star b/c I think they could offer more of a beer selection.

A real diamond in the rough, this store offers an excellent selection of beer, wine, liquor, and brewing /winemaking supplies. Owned and operated by a real beer guy, you can find everything you need here to get started making your own beverages. Steve(the beer guy) will help you get set up, give you tips, and even review your recipes if you have them. They tend to stay on top of craft brewing to a point, and even sell some of the proper glasses in which to decant your worldly beers. For wine, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I was actually sad to leave this store behind when I started buying my beer making supplies in more bulk. It is as much a social stop to discuss the process as it is a supply store.
