El Taco Nazo

Horrible place to come if u have a taste for shrimp tacos I literally got one shrimp and the rest was grease batter. I rather go to the taco Taconazo in the city of baldwin park.

Went in around lunch rush I guess, about 12:20 ish and ordered 6 shrimp tacos to go. Not too much of a complaint about wait time considering how many people were in there so I can understand that but we were in a rush so I would’ve liked to be out sooner. Our fault for going at rush hour I suppose. We waited about 15 minutes or so and got our food and we’re out by 12:35.
This is was our first time trying the tacos and I have to say they were pretty good. The shrimp was good and the pico de gallo they put on made it taste even better. It’s a little more expensive than I expected but I thought it was pretty good. I would recommend going at a time that’s not a lunch rush if you’re in a hurry though haha.

I always go there since it’s really close to my school, and I’m always eating mexican food. The fish and shrimp tacos are really good, and I like the potatoe tacos too, they are really good and cheap. The girl at the cashier with the glasses is really nice out of all the other ones, she alwas offers great costumer service.

Best ceviche EVER! And I consider myself an expert ceviche taster. Their other stuff is really good too, from fish tacos to the carne Asada tortas. You can’t go wrong with this place.

Great tacos, but what does anyone have to do to get those seasoned peppers? Constantly ask for them, then I’m told they’re in the bag, then they’re not there. Check your orders at the counter!!! Seems they give you rote response just to get you out of there.

I’m shocked this place didn’t get a higher rating because I find the food here ESP the fish tacos to be the bomb! I have been coming here for a few years now & it NEVER disappoints! Other food items that are delicious are the shrimp tacos & the fish burrito! The fish burrito is HUGE, great for sharing or for 2 meals. Prices are cheap & the happy hour prices I can’t complain! I have recommended this place to my friends & they too agree the food here is delicious! I always look forward to the fish tacos here which is what they’re known for!

I came to this place only for the fish tacos. So I won’t be grading based on their service and the setting of the place. I’ll tell you one thing. They have the best fish tacos ever! It was cheap, delicious, and a huge size amount of fish. Very recommended. I will come back here again, definitely. Possibly often.
P. S. Don’t forget to ask for their chili peppers! Made them fish tacos extra tasty.

First time customer and won’t be returning. Drove by this place a few days ago as I was craving for tacos. Minus one: I waited a few minutes while the person behind the counter counted the money in the cash registered. Minus two: ordered shrimp, beef and chicken tacos to-​go. Shrimp taco (the batter) was burnt; the chicken and beef tacos were average. Minus three: although there’s a salsa bar, customers were limited one small plastic container for each order of taco. Maybe that’s adequate for some people, but for someone who likes lots of salsa on her tacos… that’s a no-​no. What’s the point of having a salsa bar? Dine-​in customers benefit, I suppose.

The food is good, a bit pricey but it’s fine.
The service however is very bad.
Every time I come in here the cooks are always eating in the back. I see them stuffing their faces and they are eating with their hands (hence tacos/​chips) when I walk in I see them eating, then they proceed to start making food. Eewwww really hope they wash their hands before they work.

So disappointed.
Typically my husband and I eat in and the only other complaint we have is the female with attitude. Whatever, we keep coming back.
Today we put an order in to go. They said 20 minutes and I was there in 15. She hands me the bag and I’m on my way.
I’m home in 3 minutes because I live literally JUST up the street and I open the bag to just complete disappointment. My 2 fish tacos that they had on a plate and loosely covered in tin foil fell apart and parts were in the bag. Our ceviche wasn’t closed and ripped through the bag it was in because it spilled out everywhere.
Just found this particular experience unacceptable.

Service was good, price was great, nachos tasted great. Only problem was food didn’t agree with my stomach. Had a stomach ache all night and next morning.
I’ve had the tacos here before and didn’t have any problems.

The food here is always good, wish I could say the same about the customer service.
There’s one girl in particular who this review is about. I don’t know the chicks name but everytime I come here and she’s working the register I just prepare myself for her attitude.. Although I’ve experienced her terrible attitude before today she out done herself. Don’t have a stank attitude like it’s me who is forcing you to work at El Taco Nazo.
First, one thing I hate is when the salsa bar needs to be replenished and customers need to alert the staff. Luckily I was able to scrape up a spoonful just enough for my two tacos. But I watched 3 different people ask for more salsa to be put out and she took her sweet time doing so. When she finally did she seemed like she was irritated about doing it but they were EMPTY! Meaning they should have been filled hours ago.
Second, they must be understaffed because every single table in the place was filthy!
I would suggest getting your food to go if you can because the customer service here is unsatisfactory. If they didn’t have those damn delicious yellow chili gueritos I probably wouldn’t come here at all.

I always get the potato tacos and fish tacos here. It’s very quick, easy, and super cheap when you’re in a rush. The food here is incredible and I’d say it’s even better than Los Amigos. I can get 3 tacos here for less than 5 dollars any day of the week! It’s very cheap, very delicious, and I couldn’t be happier with this place.

Of a place with 30 minute parking, I expect one of two things:
1. That they serve 4 tacos within the 30 minutes
2. Or that they pay for the parking ticket
Food was okay though, the Unilocal rating does it justice. Kind of pricey though, at $ 2 per al pastor taco

I’ve been to the South El Monte Taco Nazo and from what I remembered, it was absolutely great.
This particular location disappointed me. The fish was smothered in batter and it was not appetizing to eat. I love fish tacos but have never experienced this before. I had to peel off super thick chunks of the batter to actually eat the tacos. The shrimp ceviche was ok.
My friend got carne asada and al pastor tacos as well and they were not good. :/​
About half an hour after consuming the 3 fish tacos, I had the runs. :| #tmi

Not as much of a lover as most others but the fish tacos are pretty good, not the best, and my husband loves the shrimp. The meats are a pass here, not good at all. Service is nice, prices fair and I love their salsa bar. Not worth going out of my way for, but will do if we are in the mood for fish in the area.

The cashier told me that they don’t have happy hour anymore (tacos for $ 1 from 3−6PM) ;_​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​;
I think for their prices, the food is just okay, and the portions are on the small size. I’ve had their carne, fish, and potato tacos. Their beef tacos are nothing out of the ordinary. The fish tacos are large, but mainly because of their batter to fish ratio. Definitely more batter. The amount of fish that they put in is way smaller than it seems. However, their potato and fish tacos are topped off with sauce, cabbage, and tomatoes, which I think complements the tacos quite well.
The place could be a little bit cleaner, too. Also, last time I was here on Ash Wednesday, one of the workers was slicing up radishes as a side dish. She dropped some on the floor, picked it up, threw it in the trash, and went back to slicing without washing her hands T_​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​T
I didn’t get any radishes that day!
TLDR: Pricey food, small portions.

This place was definitely worth trying! The fish tacos were by far the best I have had in the walnut area! I kept hearing about the yellow chilly pepper that’s mouth watering and omg! It was amazing with the fish tacos! A big plus is the happy hour from 3 – 6 everyday! Now I can have taco Tuesday everyday! Lol this place is definitely a must try if you are in the area.

Taco Tuesday! This is actually my first taco Tuesday ever and I wanted to have the best. So, the fella said to come here. Holy-​guacamole-​tortellini! I, kid you not, had four fish tacos, chips and salsa, and a shrimp taco. That’s my order-​with a drink.
Sadly, my «get back to healthy eating» rein ended after two days. It’s not my fault that their freaking fish is so dang tasty. It’s not my fault that even the garnishes were tasty as heck. Don’t get me started on the salsa for those chips, I destroyed it.
Yes, eating with me is like eating with the Cookie Monster-​I just can’t stop!
Note: I learned this too late– ask the cashier what their specials are for «happy hour» or else you’ll end up like me purchasing the same item (s) for more on the day they have specials on them.

Wasn’t expecting much but the lunch specials are really cheap. 3 people ate very well for under 20.00!
It wasn’t as crowded as it could have been, being it’s right across from Mt SAC.
The salsas were all delicious… but the little paper cups are too small to dip your chip in boo. But free chips with combi– can’t beat that. The pepper the tacos come with is spicy watch put but soon yummy.
Fish tacos were huge and on –point. Very delicious.
Place could use a good scrub down and the tables were woobly. Other than that… very good.

Love their fish tacos! Tender, no fishy aftertaste, and their sauce is muy delicioso!
