Second time today and like my first visit, service has been topnotch. You guys accommodate my vegan preference on my dish without any weird look or hesitance. That meant a lotttt. I always order Amazing Tofu and that dish is beyond amazing!!! I can’t get enough of the sauce! But most of all, I love how you treat your guests. I will surely come back when I’m in the area again! Keep up the great work and more power to your business!

This place is really cheap and its food is ok. It’s nothing that sets it apart from other Thai places but they were kind of rude to me today ! And I always go here ! I’m really disappointed because I did like this place because of their lunch specials. But today they asked me to move seats when people came in when all the other seats were open they asked me to move. And also when they packed my to go order my calamari Got soggy because they didn’t poke holes in the to go box ;(and I live 3 miles away

Was on my way back from hiking near Wrightwood with a friend and stopped by this place. I had the cashew chicken lunch special and a Thai iced tea. Both were really good and everything was reasonably priced. Would stop by here again if in the area.

Everything has been delicious so far. You have to try the yellow curry and all the Salads very spicy. That’s the only way to go!

The food is just like any other Thai place I’m just happy I found a good Thai restaurant near my house. My girlfriend and I got noodles, soup, and fried rice, and their baby elephant appetizer. We loved all of it we live 5 – 10 min away and the food was ready writhing that time frame after we called in for pick up. And the Thai coffee was just as good, keep it up guys

Yum one of my favorite thai restaurants! This place is pretty popular among locals but luckily I’ve never had to wait :) Service is always great– they’re very quick and attentive and the food is delicious! The portions are pretty decent especially for the price and they have really cheap lunch specials! I personally like the order off the regular menu regardless :) My favorites here are the pad see ew, Tom yum soup, and beef salad! I’ve also tried their pad thai, basil chicken, and some other super basil heavy dish with larb(really great flavors but too salty for me so must eat with rice!) The beef salad is more like a shit ton of beef with a side of salad hehe– the dressing is super citrusy which I love and you can customize the spiciness level! the soup is very flavorful and comes with a lot of meat! It’s always nice to get a side especially when it’s cold out~ Finally pad see ew is always a staple for me and they do a great job of making it not overly sweet! I recommend adding chili flakes for that extra kick And I love love love how they bring out all the chili condiments to you! That fish sauce is no joke~ it’s super spicy with all the chopped chilis but adds a lot of flavor and spice to anything you order

The food here is very okay, and slightly more expensive than I anticipated. My family and I ordered the following dishes: –crab rangoon($ 7.95): crab meat, blended with cheese wrapped and deep fried in a wonton skin. These were good, but pricey. It comes out to about a dollar per wonton. –pad see ew($ 8.95): This dish was superrrr bland. It felt like all of the ingredients were just strewn together and not given enough time to marinate in the soy sauce. –BBQ chicken($ 8.95): Thai style grilled chicken served with sweet and sour sauce. No good. The chicken was very tasteless, and even more so, dry on top of that. Nothing can save a dried BBQ chicken. –catfish with chili sauce($ 10.95): deep fried catfish, stir fried with chili paste, topped with basil leaves and bell peppers. Expensive, and the proportionally very small. We were given four teeny tiny morsels of catfish filets. The sauce was good, but the catfish was a little too over fried for my liking making it rather dry. –combination fried rice($ 10.95): chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, eggs, tomatoes, and onions. This was probably the best dish of the night. The fried rice was surprisingly flavorful and there were generous helpings of the chicken, pork, etc. On top of that, there was a nice, subtle kick to the flavors. Staff was friendly and our food was neatly packed. Hankering for Thai? Order the combination fried rice.

This review is long overdue! We used to frequent Baby Elephant’s «cousin» restaurant, Lucky Elephant, in San Dimas. This is where we first met Noy and Alex. They are the reason why we went to Lucky Elephant almost on a weekly basis… sometimes twice weekly. We followed Noy and Alex when they opened Baby Elephant just over two years ago and won’t go anywhere else. Baby Elephant is conveniently located near the corner of Grand and Amar… across the street from Mt. SAC… just past the Chevron gas station. There is ample parking in front of the restaurant. I love Noy, Alex, and Baby Elephant! Noy and Alex are two of the nicest people I have ever met! They are like family! They always are warm, welcoming, and happy to see us whenever we come in. They will sit and visit with us every time we come in. Baby Elephant is like home. The service here is excellent! You will never have to ask for your water glass to be refilled, because it will be refilled before it is empty. The food is consistent and excellent! We order a combination of the following items every time we visit: won ton soup or tom yum gai… beef or chicken larb… Thai style pork jerky… BBQ spare ribs… chicken panang or green curry… chicken satay… pork spare ribs with garlic and black pepper(new favorite!)…chicken pad thai or chow mein or rad na or pad see ew or pad kee mao(be forewarned that this can be very spicy!)…rice…Thai donuts or mango sticky rice or roti(new favorite!). We’ve also had the salmon with chili sauce, Thai BBQ chicken, and chicken prik khing. As you can see, we’ve tried most of the menu. Everything we have ordered has been delicious! We always leave happy and very very full! Don’t forget to get Thai tea or coffee with your meal! Yum-o! If you are in the Walnut area, I highly recommend you stop in for lunch or dinner at Baby Elephant and say hi to Noy and Alex! =)

Came here with friends on a Thursday night at 7. Restaurant had other customers but wasn’t packed and we didn’t need to wait to get seated. Service was friendly though weird. Not deal breakers, but seemed a tad amateurish. Maybe our server was in training or something. anyways, onto the food: I got the duck curry and ordered it spicy as another reviewer recommended that their«spicy» isn’t Thai spicy(this is true). This was actually perfect for me! Good initial kick but didn’t last or overwhelm me the more I ate(aka I could actually taste my food and the spice enhanced the flavor rather than blunting it). Duck meat was mostly skin and fat so that was disappointing. Curry came with pineapple chunks too, green scallions sliced long wise, green peppers, and cooked Thai basil. The curry was your typical coconut milk base. My brown rice was an extra $ 2!!! That is a lot extra, especially when my dish was $ 9.95& the server didn’t mention rice costing extra. Overall, the food was good so I’m willing to overlook the weird service.

I don’t eat Thai food that often, but my friend recommended this place so I give it a try. It turns out better than I thought. Food: They serve similar food as Banana Bay. Food is great, but a little oily for my taste. I love their duck curry, its delicious. The portion is kind of small and they don’t include rice. Which is kind of weird. How can you eat curry without rice? Maybe that’s their strategy to squeeze extra money from you. Location: Its a tiny restaurant located at the corner of a huge plaza. You might miss it if you don’t look for it carefully. Its in a huge plaza with plenty of parking, definitely no need to worry about parking. Service: Better than I expected, servers are very friendly and attentive. Price: The price they charge here is a little on the high side for Thai restaurant. Plus they don’t include rice on the dishes that you order. So that adds another $ 1.50 to the dish for a small bowl of rice. Overall, if you like Thai food. This is not a bad place to eat from time to time.

My boyfriend was in the mood for Thai food, and this is the closest place to my house. I was apprehensive about coming here because I came a few years ago, and wasn’t a big fan of whatever I ordered. However, this time I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. My boyfriend is obsessed with green curry(something I usually never order at Thai restaurants) so like usual, he ordered the green curry… ANDTHEGREENCURRYHEREBLEWMEAWAY. It was pretty damn spicy, but soooo flavorful. I don’t even know what they use to make the sauce so tasty! Definitely recommend this. I ordered the pad thai, the most generic and common dish of all Thai restaurants. It’s a safe choice, and it didn’t disappoint here. It was standard for pad thai, but standard is still delicious. My only complaint is that the curry doesn’t come with any rice, and a small bowl costs $ 1.50. Rice is pretty cheap… don’t know why it doesn’t come with the curry considering nobody eats curry without rice. Maybe I’d prefer buying the curry and bringing it home… where I have unlimited free rice.

I love their crab fried rice! It had the perfect amount of spices and flavoring… although I wish they had added a LITTLE more crab, but I still enjoyed it! Their bbq spare ribs reminded me more of Chinese bbq spare ribs? Something I might get at a local Chinese restaurant. BUT! I did like how many they gave, I think it was about six? It still tasted delicious it just didn’t have that authentic«thai taste» I was looking for. But the prices for everything were very reasonable. The service here is absolutely amazing. There were two women who came up to my group’s table to take our orders and they were so very sweet and helpful with everything. They made sure to check up on us and refill our water every now and then. They were more than welcoming and it really made my day. I know I’ll be coming back very soon to try more of their other dishes. I can see why the rating is so high and why people love them on Unilocal

Good, cheap lunch specials!!! The lunch special portions are definitely smaller than regular portion sizes at regular price, but the specials do come with soup and an egg roll. This place gets pretty packed at times. The quality of the food is great and the servers have always been good to me. The whole young coconuts, chicken skewers, pad thai, pad see ew(beef or chicken), red curry, bbq chicken w/sweet and sour sauce, and mango sticky rice keep me coming back for more. I have no complaints about their prices and feel it’s actually pretty inexpensive for what you get. Nice, comfortable atmosphere, nice servers, plenty of parking.

not really agreeing with the Unilocal craze over this local thai joint, but the waitresses were really nice! for spicy dishes they give you the option of medium or spicy, BUT just know their level of spicy is not on the authentic thai scale so «spicy» was just fine for me —pad see ew with chicken: the chicken was pretty dry and the noodles were just okay, some parts of the dish were bland —deep fried cat fish: not bad, good flavors but notihng amazing. you’ll need a side of rice with this dish and it’s an extra cost NOTE: $ 10 minimum on credit card

I’m absolutely mystified by the 4 star rating of this place. The food was AWFUL! I came here on a whim to get lunch to go and I was utterly disappointed. I ordered pad-see-ew, tom kha-gai, and papaya salad. pad-see-ew: noodles were not cooked thoroughly and tasted dry and bland. Chicken in this dish was so dry, it tasted like it had been frozen for a very long time(as in, years and years). There was not enough Chinese broccoli in this dish. Not enough garlic, not enough sugar, and not enough egg. In fact, I could barely find any egg in this dish. Awful, just awful. :( tom kha-gai: it seems they used the wrong type of coconut milk. Was there almond milk or maybe soy milk in this soup? I don’t know but the entire soup tasted really strange. The best way I could describe it is that it is oily and glossy. The chicken slices in the soup were dry, the mushrooms tasted stale, and there was no chili oil nor fish sauce in the soup. I ordered medium spicy for this soup. How could anyone mess up this soup! I’m so disappointed. papaya salad: the worst of the three items I ordered. The papaya was barely seasoned, the lime dressing had no hint of lime in it at all, and the entire dish was just dry and bland. Awful! How anyone could mess up this dish is beyond me. An 8-year old could make this! Price: NOT reasonable, a bit of a ripoff for the portion size and quality of ingredients. What shocks me is that this restaurant had quite some customers during noon on Thursday. I’m very sorry to say but I do not recommended this restaurant.

Came by for lunch the other day and it was a decent experience. Ordered the Pad Thai Beef Lunch Special and it came with a small bowl of Tom Yum soup and vegetarian egg roll, both of which were decent. The Tom Yum soup was fragrant and the vegetarian egg roll was freshly fried with a side of sweet & sour sauce. The Pad Thai beef was freshly stir-fried and was also rather sweet. The beef quality was decent, and wasn’t too tough. Meal ended off with complimentary Thai donuts which was mainly flour with a side of condensed milk as a dipping sauce. The Thai Iced Tea was okay too, although somewhat sweet. Service was friendly by the staff. ~$ 12/person lunch after tax and tip.

I have been wanting to try Baby Elephant Thai for a long time and I finally got a chance to eat here for dinner with the boyfriend. I think the place is really cute because it is clearly ran by a family. They were super nice and kept asking if we needed anything! Right when we sat down, they served us with waters and with lemons inside(a nice touch). The reason why I am not giving it a better review is that the food was just OK. I think I am spoiled by all the food in Thai Town near Hollywood where everything is really amazing. This place may be more Americanized instead of authentic. We got the Pad See Ew with beef an the Combination Fried Rice. The Pad See Ew was a little too sweet and the fried rice had no flavor. The rice was also really really mushy. Either way, I chowed it down with the Thai green peppers.

Crab Ragoons are great here! Pleasantly higher proportion of real crab to cream cheese. Comes with small salad and soup. I really like the soup(though that might have been hunger talking) Mango sticky rice was great! Mango was perfectly ripe, sticky rice was served warm with a slightly salty coconut sauce you can add. If you get this, I recommend choosing something light for your drink and meal. This dessert is pretty sweet and rich. Received free Thai Iced Tea w/Cal Poly ID. Awesome! I tried the Red Curry and Garlic Pepper(both with beef). Didn’t like either one of those entrees. The beef was just really odd in taste and texture. I have a feeling that it might have been better if I had chosen chicken as my protein instead. Overall friendly service. Would be willing to come back for more crab ragoons and anything not beef!

I came here and there were 0 baby elephants. I guess I gota go somewhere else for baby elephant meat. jk anyways. I came here for lunch. Got the pad thai special and girlfriend got the curry. both tasted relatively good I just felt the portions were small. you get a small bowl of curry and a mound of rice… but i guess it was enough to fill my girlfriend up… Pad thai was good but i wanted more… meh. most likely won’t be back. The enviornment and decorations aren’t eye appealing. just felt like another asian restaurant… like something my parents would take me to.

Been on a thai food craving and this place with 4 ½ stars caught my eye. Lunch Special(6.95) Served 11 – 3 everyday Pad Thai I was thinking, holy moly this is cheap! But then I saw the portions and I knew why. However, the pad thai had great flavor and it came out piping hot! Lunch Special also comes with soup and egg roll! The egg roll was light, but lacked flavor for me. The soup was a lighter version of a tomato soup, which I didn’t really care for either. But the waitress was super sweet and the pad thai was delicious! It’s just the portions are still a bit small, and I don’t think you could get full of it.
