After talking with several design consultants, we chose to go with Jill at Tangerine Design to help us design a master bed/​bath remodel. Jill presented herself in a professional manner, had a solid resume of experience and was very responsive. When we first met with Jill, she educated us on the process of a remodel, what to expect from each part of the process, what to expect from contractors, etc. She also provided a list of recommended vendors and contractors along with some best practices advice. As we moved into the design phase, she was attentive, listened to our project goals and budget and made some great recommendations we had not thought of. She created multiple design plans for us, and we ultimately ended up choosing aspects that we liked across several different plans and incorporating them into one final plan. We had several question along the way, and Jill was always responsive and creative in her approach providing insightful advice. We’re thrilled with the final product and could not have done it without Jill.

She supplied COST EFFECTIVE layout options, material choices, contractors & store resources that were perfectly suited for «higher end» markets. Her ability to design with an eye towards «functionality» resulted in «practical» recommendations that my tenants «Paid For Dearly». She has an excellent interior design sense to compliment her functional layouts.
She also takes your project to heart and is concerned that the result are as promised. There’s
no «fall off» in focus.

I hired Jill to prepare preliminary drawings for a renovation, for the general contractor to use as a guide. She was very prompt, organized, and insightful, and took my small job as seriously as any major project. She was very transparent about costs. I liked the ideas she brought to the table, and she was very imaginative in finding ways to make my ideas work. I’d definitely work with her again.

I was introduced to Jill through mutual friends and had heard fabulous things about her creative skill set in home redesign and project management. So the moment a challenging remodel/​design question arose at my client’s home (I’m a realtor), I called her in to review the situation. My client owns a 2 bedroom, turn of the century flat in San Francisco with a truly awkward layout. After assessing his resale potential, there were several areas of improvement I felt he needed to make in order to maximize his investment. Just to be brief — the bedrooms had very little natural light, the one bathroom was accessible only by walking through the master bedroom and there were several old flues and ducting channels that were dead space awaiting reuse. She arrived exactly on time, had instant rapport with my client and listened intently while we explained the issues. Within a couple of hours of Jill’s consultation, each «trouble area» had been resolved — her suggestions were creative and in line with the overall look and feel of the unit and building — and all were made with a conservative budget in mind. Given Jill’s experience and breadth of knowledge, I can’t wait to introduce her to other clients!
