5 stars for the staff including April and Ron who are always smiling, always helpful, always remembering drinks, and are just a real pleasure to see each time. This store is does spectacular with the mobile ordering. They should really be the example to the other local Starbucks who seem to have a hard time catching on! Love this Starbucks!

Would have received 5 stars except they have no bathrooms! Great service, drinks, and beautiful outdoor area with plenty of seating. Very small inside, with only 2 small tables.

By far the best Starbucks in the East Bay with waterfalls on the fountains and outdoor seating for over 100 in the courtyard area make this a relaxing and nice place to sit and read and relax. The Countrywood shopping center pretty much has everything you would need as well.

First time here. No line, fast and efficient. Parking is an inconvenience, but service was good.

Not the best Starbucks. I recommend using the Starbucks in Safeway which next to this Starbucks.

This is the second time I came in, on time, to get my traveler I ordered from the day prior — and it wasn’t ready. One of the girls acted a bit petty and said«there’s no traveler order» and the other girl walks to the back, pulls out the clipboard and said«oh is your name so and so and you have an 8am pick up?» Yup, that’s me. I come to this location for convenience but having to wait while they brew coffee for the traveler defeats that purpose. The little attitude on top of it just is annoying. Will find a new Starbucks for this.

On a pretty day, there are few things more enjoyable than sitting outside on a pretty deck, enjoying a coffee while reading or chatting with friends. This is a perfect location for tasty treats and good coffee. I wish they had a few more spots inside for less than pretty weather, but the sound of the pond and the comfy outdoor seating is not bad at all!

A quick glance at my reviews will show its no secret that I enjoy visiting different coffee houses. I’ve been to quite a few in the area, especially Starbucks. Obviously, what a given Starbucks serves is similar, but sometimes the layout can be quite distinctive. Such is the case for the Starbucks at the Countrywood mall. This Starbucks has the most attractive outdoor seating layout I have found in the far East Bay. All done in attractive redwood, it is conical shaped and raised somewhat above the mall floor. You get to it by crossing a small bridge over a tranquil pond that surrounds this Starbucks. The interior is on the smallish side, only a couple tables, but this Starbucks is all about the outdoors. It has a huge wraparound redwood deck, overlooking the pond, with an abundance of tables, comfy cushions and other seating areas. Running water can be constantly heard as you are sipping your coffee. And there is overflow seating nearby off the deck as well. They’ve done an amazing job on the atmosphere here — it’s like a mini getaway in the middle of Walnut Creek! Of course, during winter’s cold, rainy days I would suspect most patrons get their coffee to-go. But on a beautiful spring Saturday afternoon, there were a good number of coffee lovers relaxing outside even as the dinner hour approached. This place shines in the good weather!

They are fast and gettingy drink, but not the friendliest. I prefer the Starbucks by pleasant hill Bart station.

I’m not one to write a bad review, but I feel my experience here warranted at least a little rant via Unilocal. Being a former Starbucks partner, I am very understanding of the daily trials and tribulations, however you learn to suck it up and smile. I will start off by saying that the location is gorgeous! I am currently sitting on the veranda listening to the soothing sounds of various water features surrounding me. It is a beautiful February day and apart from the customer service I just received, I have not much to complain about. That being said, I walked up to the counter and was sadly not greeted with the usual warm hello that Starbucks is known for, instead it was dead silence until I ordered my most simplest form of a beverage, again being a previous employer I like to keep things simple. I asked for my Venti unsweetened green tea lemonade, paid and escorted myself to the pickup counter. I happen to make eye contact with the barista who appeared to be stocking in the lull after the afternoon coffee rush. After acknowledging my presence with just a quick smile she glared at the young lady that I had the pleasure of meeting at the register. I could identify some tension amongst the employees and understood those moments all too well. The young lady, whom I did not catch by name, but merely her tattoo outlined arm that read ‘wisely’ made my drink(not up to SB standards, I did not here any shaking with my shaken ice tea lemonade beverage) literally threw the lid on, placed it on the counter and left in a flash. My drink sat on the counter unbeknownst to me in a puddle of its own fluids until I gathered it was mine, being the only one left waiting. I dripped it all the way over to the soiled milk/sugar cart and tried to clean it off enough to leave with my dignity still attached rather than a mess all over the front of me. Needless to say I am glad that this location is not anywhere near my humble abode.

Went in this morning during the rush, the place was well staffed and ready. Waited in line for about a minute or two and had my drink in hand and out the door within 5 minutes:) always a plus and yes it was packed! Only downer was that the team was a little more routine instead of personable.

Like others have said. This is one nice Starbucks. I like the gazebo building and the patio. Service was on the slow side. The sullen guy with the modified flock of seagulls haircut doesn’t scream great customer service either.

Location location location. This Starbucks is literally right down the street from work, so even if I’m running low on time, stopping in and heading out to make it to work on time is a cinch. The location of this particular Starbucks is like none I have seen before. It looks less like a chain and more like a small coffee shop in the middle of the country. Even with the green surroundings, and the little bridge over a mini river, the fairy tale is slightly shattered by the loud sounds of the leaf blower every morning. The customer service is usually spot on. Friendly and fast, however they are a fiend for not repeating customer orders back to you. I probably have the most simple order in the world. Vinte blonde roast with a sausage and cheese breakfast sandwich. Not necessary to repeat my order back I understand. But it does show that they are listening. I have witnessed on many occasions someone picking up their cup of coffee and it turns out something was screwed up. There is one man who works here however, who is always on the mark. Whenever my girlfriend sees him behind the counter she sighs with relief. That’s because he listens and does not make mistakes. Plus he’s extremely friendly to everyone.

It’s in the Safeway so you can get your groceries and your morning drink. I like their hot chocolate as it’s creamy and somehow feels healthier than the mocha’s.

This is one of my favorite Starbucks to go to. The drinks and service are typical Starbucks quality, but the store looks really cool on the outside, kind of like a gazebo. The store is on a wooden deck on top of a mini pond. There are lounge chairs and tables outside for people to relax and chat on nice days. Inside, there is very little seating. There’s even a wooden bridge you can walk across. Cons: no bathrooms, which isn’t really a problem since Safeway and CVS are next door not a good place to study or do work on your computer, but definitely the most relaxing Starbucks I’ve visited.

You know, this place is your average Starbucks. There is nothing about the coffee or service that makes them stand out. They do however have this great deck nestled in the trees with comfortable outdoor seating that sets them apart.

Located in the Countrywoood Shopping Center is this SB location. Its between Safeway and McCaulou’s. Just look for the brown wooden fence, and you’ll see it. Why I like this location: ~ It’s surrounded by a pond with ducks. Its like it has a little moat. And on the outskirts are more tables with umbrellas. ~ Unique with it’s wooden bridge, fountain, and large patio. A great place to relax on a nice day. ~ No issues with the baristas. Nice and friendly. ~ They make my caramel macchiato just fine every time. Note: ~ There’s no drive thru. ~ Only a few small chairs inside, but its better to sit outside anyways. ~ Parking can be a bit crazy in the mornings, and especially on weekends.

If there was a Starbucks in Hobbiton, this would be it! Always one of my favorite locations — cozy inside(though beware, minimal indoor seating), and absolutely adorable outside with many tables, including an awesome sofa section like the lounge of a swanky bar, and a beautiful water feature that is a playground for duck families. It’s easy to forget when you grab your coffee and treats here that you are only minutes away from the hustle & bustle of Downtown Walnut Creek. The service here is always very friendly too, no matter what time of day — they are professionals with smiles, and they know that most customers want to be in and out as quickly as possible. Especially for morning commuters, this is a dream stop.
