Strange store with over-the-top patio furniture that’s pricey and cheaply made. Look around for better designed work — a lot of better choices in the Bay Area. Unfortunately, hubby and I bought a small table and 2 chairs for our back patio — and now am sitting, waiting for delivery that costs $ 75.00 — and they’re late and no one answers the phone. And I have to go to work. Real nice. Love it when companies mistreat customers — and probably their employees too. What a racket. Am thinking of canceling the order and moving on. Good riddance.

Very bizarre place One star for location, lots of options My husband and I worked with the manager, and she was fantastic — while we were working with her. We picked out a table and two chairs as the first installment to our new house. However, that is where the praises stop First of all we made it very clear that we wouldn’t be able to pick it up because we have small cars and for delivery it had to be a Monday or Tuesday On Monday, I received a call from the warehouse stating they wanted to drop off Wednesday. I reexplained that we are only available on Monday and Tuesday. They told me they ONLY drop off in walnut creek during business hours on Wednesday but they would call me back in a few minutes to follow up No call back. At the end of the day Monday, I called the warehouse back, and they said, well we will call you back the end of the week when they are planning their rounds next week. Hopefully we can accommodate a non-Wednesday request Today — Wednesday, I get an abrupt call from Patio World«your ottoman is here.» First of all, I made it very clear I could not pick up from the store. Second of all I hadn’t ordered an ottoman. She abruptly hangs up and calls back — while on the phone with me, she is talking to another person, then she says«oh, I can’t talk to you, I have to talk to your husband is he there?.» It’s 11 am on a Wednesday — really? «No, I’m busy at work, my husband is also busy at his work place, but you can tell me. My name is also on the order and you did call me.» «she mumbled, no I can’t talk to you, it’s a secret. please have your husband call me. CLICK» My husband calls — he’s told that supposedly he came in the next day and ordered an ottoman for my birthday! First of all, he didn’t come in. Second of all, we didn’t order an ottoman. and no, it is not my birthday. Needless to say, we fought the charges. The furniture here is thousands of dollars. This level of professionalism is sub-Ikea so totally unacceptable! Do not go here. Or — just go here to look at stuff and order elsewhere. Very very strange place!

Do not deserve a star at all!!! very poor coordination, bad phone manner, rude to customer even the manager do not care if you were physically there and spoke to her, mistakes from the store, she will look at the computer screen and say i am sorry but she did not mean it at all. nothing to do with the product, they are not the one making it! told the salesperson very clearly that i am buying the new whole set of outdoor furnitures. she said that i qualified for a discount… ends up:(1) making many phone calls and unable to contact the delivery service(call back to store they told me” no such thing.),(2) finally delivered the whole thing except the umbrella?!(3) made another delivery day, no show and no call?!(customer’s time means nothing to them) (4) the last delivery, deliver a stick of umbrella but no stand?!!(5) call the store, the person said«manager is not here, call tomorrow» and hung up the phone(6) call again to the so-call manager to arrange next day that i will come to the store to pick up the stand, manager did not even bother to tell the sales person anything about my pick up, brush me off with bad attitude and try to sell me the wrong item.(7) have to insist to stay there or no-chance to talk to the manager in person, the manger finally show up but believed that they are very kind to give me a discount already, and i am asking to much of it ?! (8) purchased the umbrella stand home and found out that the hole between umbrella and stand did not match each other ?! like never ending nightmare! Help me GOD!!!

In a nutshell: HORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICEANDPOORCOMMUNICATION In May we bought two swivel rockers, a glider, a small table and an umbrella with the stand($ 2,500 total). It took a while to set up the delivery because they call you only a day or two to set it up. I happened to have some medical and other appointments I couldn’t break. They kept asking me if they could just drop it off when I wasn’t home but I said no. When the pieces finally arrived, I carefully inspected the chairs while the delivery guys waited. The umbrella and base were in boxes so I didn’t open them. We were having landscaping done so we didn’t open the boxes until the following week. When we opened them up, the shaft of the umbrella had a large dent. Also, the cylinder that screws into the base was dented too, so it was no longer round so you couldn’t screw in the umbrella. When I called the store, they said since it was over 48 hours since we received the items it was now a «warranty» issue. None of the sales staff warned me of this when we bought the items. It wasn’t until I looked at my receipt and flipped it over that I saw the notice that you had to report damaged items within 48 hours. The sales staff needs to advise their customers of this important policy. I don’t disagree with the policy, but I do believe you should be warned. I just didn’t expect to get damaged items. I want to add that I had to call more than once and send multiple emails to various staff. Their communication is horrible!!! Finally, I was able to talk to a lady at the warehouse to get replacement parts. It was over a month before the parts came in. I had also asked that the lady call me as soon as they arrived and she didn’t. I had to call her instead. Although she speaks perfectly good English, her communication is terrible. In conclusion, the store sales staff are pleasant, but if there are problems after the sale takes place, you’re screwed. I paid for an umbrella in May and didn’t get to actually use it until August. Never again! Actually, the umbrella doesn’t seem to quite fit into the base properly, but at this point I am through with Patioworld!

Went to Patioworld to check out some new furniture. My 15 year old set has been through three moves from the Midwest to California and it was time to retire it. Christina was wonderful! She was consultative in her approach; not at all pushy or short in just trying to sell something. I got a great discounted price on a beautiful set but before I said, «Yes», I wanted to price check online. Christina gave me a written, out-the-door, with delivery and set-up price and I took it home. That afternoon, I found the same set for a few dollars less from a company in Indiana. I thought about it for a moment and then decided it was more important to buy locally for the service aspect and also to support my community store. It was worth the few bucks to buy locally and with a helpful and knowledgeable sales staff. I said, «Yes». The delivery folks called the next day and worked pleasantly to accommodate my schedule. Delivery and set up went well! The guys called 30 minutes in advance and were here and out in no time! I highly recommend Patioworld for their beautiful products, priced competitvely and especially for their excellent service and staff!

Went to Patioworld with my girlfriend she needed 12 new cushions we had looked everywhere. What we found was over priced or not enough. Justin was so helpful he tried to send us to someone who could give us a direct match but we were able to find what we liked in his store and since the line was being discontinued we got a great price. When I need new patio things this will be my first stop.

Poor customer service here. We went in looking and the salesguy said while they didn’t have what we wanted in the showroom, they did sell it. He took our email address down and said he would email us a picture of it the next day which he never did.
