I do not advise coming here at all. Biggest asshole mechanic I have ever encountered. When I asked him for his opinion on my engine, he says he doesn’t have a crystal ball & can’t give me one. Biggest jerk! I cannot believe someone like me this actually runs a business!

Employees were very unprofessional and insulting. Would not recommend this dump! I gave up on their lack of customer service and ended up taking my car to Advanced Auto in San Ramon who gave us a much better experience. Will not be going back and will not be recommending this shop to ANYONE.

Had my car towed here with a broken transmission that wouldn’t go into gear. The phone quote for a new transmission was several thousand, but I brought in anyway for confirmation.
Turns out the cable from the gear shift to the transmission came undone. Not only did Kim fix and not try to sell me new parts, he showed me how I can fix it if it ever happens again.
Great experience.

I have never been so insulted nor disrespected by a place of business as I was by this shop. M&N Automotive installed a new clutch on my car about a year ago, and it went out after 14,000 miles (a shockingly low number for a part that is supposed to last anywhere from 70,000−110,000 miles). I had never burned my clutch, nor dumped it, and always babied it. Because my clutch came from a very reputable brand, of course the first thing I questioned was the installation job.
So I went down to M&N Auto to talk to them about it, hear their opinion, and show them that the part had failed in such a short time. One worker, Lionel, would not let up on trying to make me admit that I was racing the car, dumping the clutch, taking it to drag strips or just beating the crap out of it all the time. Then the other worker (and possibly the owner), Kim, asked me if I knew how to drive stick. When I told him «yes, and I’ve been driving stick for years», he went along to argue with me and repeatedly insult me stating that I clearly have no idea what I’m doing, and that I should sell my car now because I don’t know how to drive it, and sent me on my way.
In the end, it turned out that a $ 28 part called the «clutch fork» had broke (a very common problem with Subaru’s). Neither me nor the shop was responsible for this, but the fact that they went along to insult me and not stand by their work even in the slightest (when it really could have been their fault too) until we found out that neither of us was responsible is just disgusting.

The guys we’re nice and honest. They also used genuine parts. The price was reasonable too. I had a great experience.

Kim (the owner) and Lionel (the mechanic) do an amazing job! I have taken to them 4 different cars and they have been nothing but helpful and professional about their service. I have gotten all my cars done in a timely fashion without breaking my bank. Kim and Lionel go above and beyond for all the cars I have brought to them. If you need any car work done I would recommend them. If you need a shop to trust and do quality work then go to them! Thank you to both Lionel and Kim!

My truck’s check engine light came on. Mr. Kim quickly took care of the problem and also noted a loose belt, which he took care of as well. Quick, efficient, and honest service. Highly recommended.

Excellent service. They gave me a fair price for my oil change and even checked my car to make sure other things were working right. I really appreciated their great and trustworthy service and will definitely be back.

I’ve been to Kim and his shop several times and each time I’ve gotten the problem fixed. You do not get the uneasiness that you get when going to the dealership repair shops where they swindle you of your money.
Kim will test drive your car (with permission of course) to get to the problem if you’re having trouble describing the issue. So far, he’s been able to correctly identify and fix the problems.
The best part is, he’s honest and upfront about the costs. I’ll be taking my car straight to Kim as long as they’re around.

I’m a smart girl who knows NOTHING about cars, except how to describe them by color, put gas in them, and drive them. So, whenever my Cooper is need of some TLC, I always feel confident bringing my car to M&N Auto Repair and more specifically Kim. He always shoots me straight, fixes my car in a timely and friendly manner, and charges a fair and reasonable rate for his excellent service.

Excellent auto mechanic. Straight forward, helpful and likeable. Best of all, he is priced much much better than the Acura dealership!

I thought I was going to need all my brakes replaced, so I took it here for both a brake and oil change. They heard me drive in the lot they were so terrible. I was quoted around $ 250. I also thought they would have to keep my car over night because I came in last minute with no appointment. I called 30 minutes before they were closing, found out it was only my back brakes. Anyway, when I picked up my car I was quoted double what I was quoted in the phone… Needless to say I never went back.

All-​In-​All: Very great service, good quality work and done in a timely fashion.
I brought in a broken power steering pulley pump (the old and a new one) as well as the pulley wheel which had a broken off shaft stuck in the middle. I was unable to remove the shaft from the center (with tools and 300 lb helper) and so I called a local machine shop which recommended this place.
I brought it in and (Kim) said he would take a look at it. He mentioned he would give it a shot and call me by the end of the day. Well he was able to get it off and he even installed it onto the new power steering pump!
The only reason I didn’t give a fifth star is that when I came in to pick it up Kim was not there and one of his helpers called him. The helper then told me it was $ 50 bucks. I don’t know if that’s what Kim told him but I just feel it was too much, and left a question mark in the back of my mind.

We have been going to M&N for several years now and Kim and his crew have worked on our Ford F150, Mercedes and our son’s truck. The level of service is superb and the pricing is very good. Kim always manages to figure out what is wrong and get things fixed, right the first time and in an excellent time frame. In example, my mom’s car diedy yesterday. She took it to Kim’s last night after hours. Kim looked at it this morning, told her what was wrong and had it finished by 2pm! When I dropped her off there was a Ferrari parked outside of his shop and it turns out that the dealerships are having him look at their used cars to assess them. Very cool. I trust all of our cars to Kim and HIGHLY recomend him.
Oh, one other thing, my husband had a pretty bad accident in our son’s truck. The body shop that we used did an excellent job but there was a squeak that they could not figure out. They said it must have already been there before the accident. We knew that was not true. We took it to Kim and within 10 minutes he had diagnosed it, a crack in a busihng or bracket or something (I am not a car expert) that was totally due to the accident. This guy knows his stuff!

Usually I dread getting the call from a mechanic working on my car, but with Kim, I’m always relieved that it’s going to cost less than I expected and the repairs will be completed on time. I depend on my car for my job, M&N Auto Service has never let me down.

Took my car in here today to get the low beam on my 325i replaced. My boyfriend had called prior and he quoted him 120 so I decided to go here over m service, who quoted me 180. I called in the morning before I took my car in to see how long it would take and he said 15 minutes. Once I got there and he took a look he said he had to remove the whole bumper, it would be 300, and it would take three hours. I decided to hold off and took it to m service immediately after, where they told me it was still 180 and they would fix it in 15 minutes! Should have gone with m service to begin with! That being said, I won’t be going back!

I take both of my cars here and Kim has always been fast, reliable, honest, and very reasonably priced. I’ve had everything from oil changes to brakes and radiator replacements done here, and I’ve always had a good experience without any surprises, additional charges, or any attempts to rack up extra work. I’m so glad that I have a reliable local mechanic that I can trust and go to, I would definitely recommend you try them.

This is a reliable and honest auto shop. I like it’s service.
