Kaiser Permanente Walnut Creek Medical Center

I am always astounded at the outstanding quality of customer service at all the KP facilities — everyone is pleasant, calm, and respectful, regardless of whether you’re in for a routine appointment or to use the ER or to be an inpatient .
This goes for KP Walnut Creek, as well. We have used the ER twice in the last year and both times were very impressed with the quality of the care and the facilities. The staff were professional and moved things along as quickly as possible, given the other patients’ needs.
I have convinced 2 friends to switch insurance plans to Kaiser, and both of them wholeheartedly agree that it far exceeds the standards of their previous carriers. The mere fact that everything is computerized, so that you can use any facility you like and your information is up to date and available is so convenient.
Example: I was at a routine exam when the intake nurse noticed that I was past due for a test. She offered, and subsequently made an appointment for me right then and there for a completely different department (and location). That’s customer service. They deserve all the awards they have received.
