We’ve been members for years and have children at all levels in the religious school. This is a good place for those who want tradition without stuffiness. Cantor Dinkin in particular is awesome.

Cong. B’nai Shalom is a well-​established caring community. The small religious school allows for individualized and personal instruction, building close relationships among the students, families, and staff. For a family desiring a combination of tradition and innovation, this is a good option. Our new young rabbi, Rabbi Aderet Drucker, is dynamic and engaging. She is doing wonderful work, inspiring many and doing terrific community outreach.

too mechanical; not warm, not compassionate, not thoughtful, not considered, he admits to his reliance on the computer, and is very defensive about it.
i do not want this rabbi to help me with anything in my life.
he’d listen for maybe 3 seconds and spew forth a solution
as quickly as he could, maybe 2 seconds.
in his study groups he gives very little time for the congregants to
have their say and too quick to jump in with what he has to say.
there is always something one can say about somebody that is positive.
i’ve yet to find anything to positive to say about «rabbi» sunshine.

I’ve been a member for many years and have always felt the congregants and clergy to be very warm and supportive. We’re not very religious, but our three kids went through religious school at CBS as well as the Midrasha program. All three still have those friends and can lead religious services. Very cool! Also, our new Rabbi Elon Sunshine is very engaging and a great human being.
