We were looking for a great burger and were curious about this cute spot on our way to Hartford. The burgers were good, homemade-type. It was a rainy day so we didn’t have a chance to eat outdoors and the indoor options(two high-tops and a 4 – 6 seat counter) were pretty cramped and limited. Nothing wrong with the burgers; good meat, made as ordered. Unexceptional sides; ordinary little cup of pasta salad, fries and o-rings fine. Again, if you live nearby, a nice place to stop on a sunny day. Not a place I’d travel to again.

These guys consistently provide high quality, delicious food. I am a french fry fanatic, and these are literally my favorite in the world. The options of having a sandwich or a wrap with your meat of choice is super cool. I recommend the Sic Nic… burger or chicken with cheddar cheese, nacho cheese, bbq sauce, bacon and onion rings — amazing.

These guys are still cranking out some tasty food! Stopped in for a quick lunch. The cali-burger, avocado, bacon, lettuce, tomato… was fantastic. Huge, cooked perfectly, and a great bun to meat ratio. Splurged for cheese sauce on my small fry too… just right. Check these guys out!

Stopped here for a quick lunch while passing through town today. Recommended by a friend, I ordered the foot long chili cheese dog with onions. My son ordered the Sicnic burger on a bun and we split a large onion rings that was plenty enough for the both of us. We grabbed a table and waited for just a few minutes. The food came out quick and piping hot. It all tasted fresh and delicious. The onion rings were light and crispy and had the perfect amount of batter on them. My hot dog(Hummel from New Haven) was split and grilled and placed in a buttery toasted roll. The meat chili and cheese combo was fantastic. A few diced white onions on top capped the dog off adding great additional flavor. The burger was lean and flavorful with just the right amount of toppings not to over power the beef. Atmosphere is neat but it’s a small place. Only a couple seat your self tables inside and a couple more picnic tables outside. If it wasn’t raining we would have eaten outside. Guess we’ll have to go back for sure.

Great place for a burger or hot dog. Placed a large order by phone for pick up and it was correct. The large onion rings are huge! Enough for 2 people. Burgers were cooked to the correct temp– something that seems impossible at other places in the area. Very happy that we found this place!

I was traveling from Hartford to Shelton yesterday about lunch time. I was in the mood for a chili dog. I pulled up my Unilocal App and did my search and this place came up with a few other along my route. I choose Two Guys one Grill because it was the one that was the shortest distance off my path. It was easy on and off the high way. I walked in and was greeted right away. I looked over the menu and decided on a foot long Hummel chili cheese dog, small fries and soda. It was freezing in the little shack so the guy that greeted me came out with a little space heater. The hotdog was good, the bun toasted, the chili was the bean-less kind which I prefer anyway and it was a good tasting chili. Now that I know about this place, I will stop by here again on my way through the 15 corridor which I do about once a week right about lunchtime. Next time I will have a burger and a shake!

Good summertime hot dog joint. Burgers and Fries are good too and so are some of their other menu items. I like the set up of the place. Just make sure to go on a nice day so you can sit outside and eat.

This averages a 4.5 and that’s spot on. The location is about a mile south than the Unilocal location — I tried to fix it, but use Google Maps in the meantime. Three of us went tonight and no one could find anything we would improve about our meals. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with L+T and grilled onions. The bun was soft and grilled on the flat top. Didn’t even bother with condiments. My girlfriend had the footlong — a Hummels sliced down the middle, so you CT-born peeps can rest easy. My sister had the grilled cheese which looked pretty standard. The(large) crinkle cut fries were crispy and salted just right. The pasta salad served on the side of everything was a pleasant surprise and had celery, peppers, and some type of pepper or spice. All of that plus one water was under $ 20. I worry that their location isn’t the best. The inside is small — could fit ten-fifteen people — so the picnic tables help in the summer, but if they’re open in the winter, it might be tough for people to come out. It’s better than Glenwood or Nick’s. Try it!

When I saw the sign, I put guys and grill together in a sentence that should have ended in a Bar B Q grill. Not the same one they use at McDonald’s. Even so the burgers are much better than the fast food chains. Their burgers are thick enough to handle medium rare but they didn’t ask, and I didn’t specify, so my burger came out medium well. I’ll have to remember that next time. David B’s comments«Funny little place in the middle of nowhere, but with great sandwiches and fries. If there is any negative, it’s that the menu is very small, but then, so is the kitchen.» sum it up pretty well You should note that the APP on my Iphone had the address right but placed it a mile South of the actual location. So, if you’re in need of a quick lunch I would suggest that you give these guys a try before you shop fast food.

Seriously? This little unassuming shack 1⁄5th of a mile off the Merritt is really churning out fresh to made burgers that are absolutely crave worthy? Yes! Seriously. I live a few miles away and have been meaning to stop by based on reviews and the constant traffic in the gravel parking lot here but hadn’t made it in. What a freaking mistake! I’ll eat here every day if I could. The burger was literally perfect — seasonings, toppings, bun — fries had a bit more pepper than I would’ve liked but now I know to ask for no pepper next time. The selection is straight forward. It’s a New England burger and hot dog shack. You know the menu already. Surprisingly the pasta salad was dynamite too. It’s not that standard one every other place shoved into dressing containers. It had a unique dressing and fresh peppers. So good. My only negative is I didn’t try them sooner. Worth a trip off the beaten path, even if you’re not from the area.

Best burgers in town hands down. They also have the best chicken ceaser wraps around.

2G1G is amazing! so much better than knuckleheads, especially since you get more food for much cheaper. Their regular burgers are just as good as their specialty burgers, I’ve been many time and haven’t had a bad meal yet! Definitely a must try for newcomers.

Don’t bother buying a burger anywhere else! I’ve tried so many things off their menu and they just can’t go wrong. The only downside is that they’re closed during the winter :(Some of my faves aside from the perfect burgers, are the sweet potato fries, the pasta salad and the Oreo milkshake. Amazing!

So I struggled with this place for a little bit because I saw all the good reviews but I left a few times underwhelmed. I can’t have cheese and almost everything even most of the hot dogs are laced in cheese so that was issue #1. The real issue is the fact that I was getting chili instead of bacon. The chili is just okay… the bacon on the other hand they do NOT skimp on! As the saying goes everything is better with bacon and seeing I am in walking distance of this establishment I may be eating too much bacon in the future. The onion rings are fantastic and I’ve been told the milkshakes are a hit too. Remember bacon not chili and you will leave very happy. Great place to go especially when the weather is nice and sit on one of the picnic tables and laugh at all the idiots taking pictures with the hotdog and hamburger.

I asked one of the owners if their name is a play on Two Girls One Cup. He seemed appalled: «What? No! No! We’re just two guys and a grill.» I remain unconvinced. Either way, what a great place. Tasty food, good prices, and it’s right off the highway. I got a crispy chicken sandwich. It was great.

Tried this place for the first time this week. I always drove by it, but never stopped in for some reason, but I am glad that I did! I only ordered a hotdog and fries, and very nice to see them using Hummel’s and they have the footlong option also(always good!) And it is pretty hard to mess that up… but! It was very good. They lightly buttered and grilled the bun(loveeee that) and then they served the nice wedge cut fries. Decent sized menu with wraps, sandwiches etc(see picture I uploaded) The staff was nice and the place is rather tiny, so on a day with a few people and decent weather you are better off eating outside instead. Overall enjoyed my experience, and would go back an try more options on the menu.
