Where to begin? The customer service is deplorable. I don’t think they know how to use their own computer system because we get calls every week asking if they can come deliver Friday… and every week I remind them of the date we schedule the delivery. We were consistently given inaccurate information. We found out that Brothers only orders the pool– you have to pay someone else to install it, hire the electrician, and pull the permit yourself from the town hall(my husband went to pull the permit and the clerk told him Brothers always used to pull the permits, they only recently stopped.) After arriving at the town hall my husband was told the electrician needs to pull the permit first before he could pull one. This was information Brothers neglected to give us. We are so frustrated with Brother’s and are looking around for a better option. Update: We ended up not going with Brothers’ recommended contractor, as he consistenly showed up when we weren’t home, or late at night(how are you supposed to survey an installation site at night??). This contractor also gave Brother’s the recommendation for a 21′ pool for our property. We hired an independent contractor who just came to our property yesterday. He measured our site three times, and said that he could install a 21′ pool, but it would be dangerously close to a drop off(our yard has a steep drop off by a stream), would require a lot of fill to level, and he wasn’t 100% comfortable installing it. After seeing his measurements, I completely agreed. I’m furious that I was sold a pool that wouldn’t safely fit our site. I wish the previous contractor had consulted with me and actually showed me how a 21′ site would fit on our site. The contractor asked if he could have a look at what Brothers delivered. He opened the filter box to have a closer look, and discovered the pump was missing. The filter has 3 components, and in the box the area where the pump should be, was empty. We went through every single box that was delivered– no pump. At this point, I’m considering returning everything and starting over with a company that knows what they’re doing. Brother’s Pool update 10÷12÷15: Brothers did not allow us to return the pool that they sold us. They did not care that it wouldn’t fit the property, since, according to the contract, once the pool is delivered, that’s it. They said it was the contractor’s fault for recommending a pool that was too big for our property, and told us to take it up with him if we were upset. We told some of our neighbors about our experience with Brother’s, and they said they’ve had similar experiences. We ended up calling Scarritt Pools(out of Bristol) and, after hearing our experience, they worked with us and installed a beautiful pool, at a discount, using as much of the parts Brother’s delivered to us as possible. So we’re got a 21′ round pump working a 16′ round pool, and it’s keeping the water crystal clear!
