Everything I have had there was very good. I have tried the BBQ, hamburgers, and the chicken sandwiches. I really like the place.

Is it some kind of health code violation to store opened food in the drink coolers???
I opened the door to the beer cooler and was blasted with the smell of old food. So I took a peek in there and saw that they are storing the food in the same cooler with the drinks. Yes, the same cooler thats being opened and closed a thousand times a day by customers.
And to make it worse, the food was uncovered.

I had been drinking all day, plus I hadn’t eaten all day so I was very excited to get some Texas BBQ in me. I didn’t mind that the parking lot was completely empty which is normally a sign for me to stay away. We pulled into this nice, clean spot at 6pm on a Friday evening. The time is important to consider when you read the rest of my review. So we walked in and I was pleasantly surprised! It was clean, looked nice and comfy, and the people were nice. But there was only one other customer in front of us placing an order. Then I went to order. I went with the two meat plate. First I asked for brisket. They were out… At 6pm on a Friday. No huge deal… At least I could order the other meat I wanted. So I changed my order to a single meat and ordered a plate of ribs. Once again, they ran out. So if you wanna go to a BBQ joint w/​no BBQ, this place is for you!

I love love love this place… I go to the dps in Waller just to eat here, and I’m from Houston. It’s the best bbq ever!!! The peach cobbler is super yum also! You have to try it!

Horrible mistake. Some of the worst BBQ I have ever eaten and I eat it all the time, all over the state. Ended up throwing it away. When cashier asked me how everything was, I told her horrible. She looked shocked. Go down the road to Waller BBQ.

Their crab finger and crawfish are awesome! Love the hometown feeling.

Had to try it, low expectations.
Was served presliced brisket with no smoke ring, no bark and no flavor.
Ribs were pretty much the same.
I only had a few bites and tossed it to try the next place at the next exit.
Sometimes having an expense account to travel on comes in handy.

It’s my favorite BBQ place and the best BBQ place in Texas. The service there is grate! The brisket is my favorite there. They also serve really good seafood there, especially crawfish. The fried shrimp are also good also.

First time here and probably my last. Unless I need gasoline for my car. You see, this is a Chevron Station with a BBQ place attached to it. BBQ and Chevron Gasoline — two of my favourite things in the world!!!
So, the gasoline is good — its Chevron Supreme! Best there is. The BBQ? meh, not so great I’m afraid. However, its a good value considering you get 2 full sides of meat and 2 sides for $ 8. The beans were flavourless and the potato salad was fail. So, how about the Q? The brisket was moist but lacked any smoke — not sure what their pit is smoking, but it never imparted any flavour to the beef. However, it wasn’t dry, despite it being pre-​sliced. yes, pre-​sliced instead of carving right off the brisket. The ribs were good — nice and meaty and spicy. Very good flavour on the ribs, but I know I’ve had better ribs in Luling. The sauce was thick and sweet — yuck! no thanks.
I probably won’t be back, but if you need gas for your rocketship on 290, get it here, but don’t stay for the food.
