De Leonardo Salon & Spa

I recently got my hair done here. My stylist did a fantastic job. I love my color. I chose this salon instead of my usual salons in West Bloomfield and Royal Oak hoping to save a little money. My only complaint is that I ended up being charged the same amount as salons that in my opinion look and feel more upscale than this one. However, I did find out that I got booked with a senior stylist, so it was probably my fault for not asking receptionist details upfront. All in all it was a good experience.

This place is awesome! I’ve been getting my hair cut here for years. My wife loves the spa services… all in all, great place!

Albana is a great with hair. My hair looks great and she listens to me. I had my hair colored by Kristin and she was informative and great with color. The salon is well maintained and they try to keep it relaxing. Albana also massages the head so the person can relax. This is one of my favorite parts. The only reason I can’t give a 5 is that the prices can be pretty steep.

I went here for a massage. The experience was not very relaxing or pleasant. My main complaint is with the massage therapist. I don’t mean to sound rude, but she was very old. Part of the problem with this is that she did not possess the physical strength to apply any pressure to my body during the massage. Secondly, I asked her to focus on my neck and shoulders, and to avoid my lower back. She either didn’t hear me, which I am sure she did or she just ignored me. Lastly, near the end of the massage she began messaging my feet with LOTS of oil. She immediately proceeded to start rubbing my face with her oily hands (gross). I will never go back. My wife got a facial and enjoyed it, but after hearing about my experience, she said she won’t return either. You only get one chance to make a first impression.

I’ve been to DeLeonardo’s for multiple services on many different occasions. I really enjoyed the facial I received here from Simona and she also was super great with providing waxing services. I did have a waxing service from one other person here, but I think I will choose to stick with Simona for future waxing services from here. I have also been here for a few hair coloring/​cutting visits. Lauren did an amazing job with my highlights and did a great cut as well. I found her prices to be reasonable for high end salon. However, the prices only go up from there. I do find that some of the services are out of my price range, and that I could find the same high end services at other salons for lower price points.
The salon itself is really nice and seems to have undergone a complete revamp. They have a wonderful spa area with a seperate changing room with lockers. The location itself seems a bit dingy since they are located in a smallish plaza in Walled Lake next door to a Subway and across the street from a Salvation Army. One may not expect such a nice salon in a sort-​of run down plaza such as this. Also, check out the great product selection, they stylists/​specialists will also be willing to offer you complete recommendations for appropriate products for their customers.
