The food is really fresh, delicious and portions are generous. Home style authentic Mexican food that’s very satisfying. The staff are great. The environment is simple, and not fancy. It’s not particularly clean, but it’s fine. There’s no décor — it’s literally in a bait shop. That being said, I would go again for sure!

The best Mexican food I’ve ever eaten. Seriously. If a business can completely flourish from the corner of a little used bait and tackle shop you know something special is happening.

Seemed fairly overpriced for what they were serving and there was a lack of variety. I was surprised that they did not have tripas, cabeza or lengua on the menu. Quite disappointing. Do yourself a favor and go to Taqueria Yungapeti

Authentic tacos, can’t get any better than this. Watch out for that hot sauce, it’s no joke! The Horchata helps with the heat :)

The Deli inside The Worm Ranch has the best authentic Mexican you’ll get. My favorite? The veggie burrito – get it with the red sauce. Amazing. The burrito is about the size of a Chipotle burrito and a reasonable price. They will customize your burrito to your needs. The Worm Ranch is the local go to for the local college students, and Collge Place/Walla Walla’s best kept secret. The people are very nice. Call your order ahead to avoid the long lines at lunch time.

We had tacos de asada. They were good. And the staff were friendly and made me feel very welcome. Not as economical as a taco truck, though.

Great, authentic food for such a low price! The ladies who work here are so nice and the Horchata is unbelievable! Will be back here next time we are in town! Highly recommended!!! :)

Popular hole in the wall for good mexican food in Walla Walla. I split tamales and a carne asada burrito with my wife. The burrito was really good but the tamales were all dry which was a bust. Son’s chicken taco was very good. Father-in-law swears by the adobodada(SP? something like that). It is a super flavorful pork. Wish we’d gotten that in some tacos instead of the tamales. Everyone else seemed happy with their meals and the taquitos were freshly made and looked great. Worth a visit for sure. Great tortilla chips for sale there too in the bait shop(we killed several bags over the wknd).

Delicious! Real Mexican food… not the americanized version. Service is always great, corn tortillas made on from scratch. Fyi it is located in a tackle shop/convenience store.

Not for me. While, they seemed to have mostly solved the fly problem in the restaurant, I can’t remove the image of flies landing on food behind the counter from my head. The food is also overpriced. Meanwhile, I simply stopped in for a 6 pack of beer. The beer was spoiled. I attempted to return it to the store. The owner refused to refund my money because one can was missing. They expected me to drive back to the store with an opened beer? Nor, would they substitute it for another type. The beer could have simply been returned to the distributor no questions asked. I won’t be back.

This is one those fabulous restaurants which the locals will not tell you about, because they don’t want all those darned tourists cluttering up the place. We have been going to Walla Walla for years and had never heard about this place, and we heard about it from another couple from Spokane. This place is EXTREMELY no-frills. It’s a bait and tackle shop, so what do you expect? However, the food is spectacular AND authentic. One of only a handful of places I have found in Eastern Washington which serves tongue, and it is magnificent. Just wonderful, and I cannot recommend it enough.

Holy cow, what a wonderful surprise this was! We were in W2 for a wine event and we wanted a quick lunch between wineries and we saw the great reviews, they deserve every one. Yup, it’s a mexican joint inside a store that also apparently houses a bait shop. It’s awesome. Not a fancy place: order at the counter, get your own fountain drinks, sit down on plastic chairs and they bring it to you. But oh man is it tasty. We lived in New Mexico for a long time and we have high standards for mexican food. This exceeded our standard; a couple weeks later and Cindy is still saying«Man I wish I could get another one of those…» If you’re running around Walla Walla doing wine tasting, step away from the bar and get yourself to WWWR&TS!

Worm Ranch is so good. It truly is such good quality delicious food. I might say it’s 1.5 $ though, which is fine because it’s worth it. I just want you to go there as soon as you can.

I am in the process of checking out eateries away from the nuevo Walla scene. Last week it was the WORM ranch, Tommy’s Dutch Lunch and Mama Mias. Seek and ye shall find. This place is worth finding, good mexi at good prices, and if you need some tackle — bonus!

Some of the best Mexican food you’ll ever find. Seriously. Don’t be turned away by the name«Worm Ranch.» The food is so good that you’ll be making plans to come back before you’re even finished with your current meal. Vegetarians: go for the veggie tacos, burrito, or a veggie huarache. Amazing! I personally either order two to three veggie tacos($ 2.75 each) or one veggie huarache($ 7). I’ll get the medium sauce(the hot sauce is just too hot for my taste) and lime on the side. Sometimes I’ll get a side of rice($ 2) to compliment the tacos. Whatever you get, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it! (Updated August 2011 to reflect a small increase in their prices)

Our annual wine touring visit to Walla Walla is always punctuated nicely mid-day with a visit to one of the taco trucks. This year we were referred here by one staff at one of the tasting rooms and it was… well unbeatable. The food is exceptional, fresh and very tasty. Unlike many Mexican joints that drown everything with too much sauce and a bucket of cheap cheese, here they use real Casa Fresco and they sprinkle on a little bit of a hard cheese that is kind of like Parmesan. I had my favorite dish, a Chili relleno, my wife had a chicken burrito, the other couple with us had enchiladas and tacos. All literally exploded with flavor and freshness. A great find, we will be back!!!

For authentic Mexican food, this place has it. You can watch as they prepare your meal right in front of you. My family and I love eating here. My wife and I usually have the burrito, and our daughter usually has the soft shell tacos. This is a family owned business, and they treat you like family. I feel blessed that our home is right around the corner, so we come here quite often!
