This event occurs once a year in February at the Fairgrounds in Walla Walla. Tickets in 2015 were $ 35 and for that you get as much crab as you can eat as well as cole slaw, beans and garlic bread. Wine and beer are available for purchase but you can bring your own. All proceeds from refreshment sales go to benefit Lions Club sponsored charities. There are probably at least 1000 people at this event every year and everyone has a great time. You missed this event for 2015. Put it on your calendar for 2016.

This is a very successful community event with an added benefit of great tasting crab. Bring your own bib, crab crackers, table cloth, glasses, drinks and let the Lions Club serve up some fantastic tasting crab. Along with the plateful of crab(Dungeness), I also received a plateful of beans, garlic bread and coleslaw. Yes, two plates. The crab is served at exactly 6 p.m. as soon as the Master of Ceremonies gives a welcome. It was simply amazing that the 1,000 plus guests were served within a very short time. There were three windows of servers open and everyone just lined up and went through in an orderly fashion. The crab was among the best that I’ve eaten(and I’ve had a lot of crab over the years). I had a few bites of my beans, garlic bread and coleslaw, but I mainly concentrated my efforts on the crab. It is all-you-can-eat, so when this comes around again next year, bring an appetite and get there as soon as the doors open(usually around 4 – 4:30). Tickets are pre-sold. This is a casual event at the Fairgrounds building, but I did notice some guests were dressed up. Great for groups and truly a fun night out.
