My husband grew up in Walla Walla and thus qualifies as a local. From what he says, you go here for THESHAKES as in MILKSHAKES. They’ve a variety of flavors from peanut butter and jelly to hot fudge banana. Good, thick and delicious! We had a small order of onion rings just for the helluva it and those were pretty good too. Service was quick, easy and friendly.

Great burger joint. The burgers were yummy, and the hot dog came on a bun and was delicious. Don’t come if you’re in a hurry though!

Ordered a couple of corn dogs and a Diet Coke and it took forever and they got the order wrong(cherry Coke) this is why we just don’t go to the Ice Berg. It wasn’t as if the orders before us were large.

This place is a old time drive in. You may wait a bit for your food but we’ll worth the wait. The cheese burger very well seasoned and taste great. Milk shakes are the best you have to look at the menu in front first. All the flavor options. … Corn dogs are not listed as corn dogs, pretty good though.

Be prepared for a long wait for mediocre over priced food… I tried them out bc of the reviews on here. Guess I have higher standards. I ordered the Chipotle chicken sandwich. It was bland even the Chipotle sauce… Their onion rings are fair, definitely better than Burger King but not as good as Applebee’s. I have to say the one saving grace that’s working for them is their shakes. I had the salted caramel and it was totally worth the wait… not overly sweet and not bland it was delicious. I haven’t had their burgers so can’t say if it’s worth it or not. I spent $ 14 and change on three items. I get more food from Thai Ploy for less, which is I believe is close by…

A local introduced us to the Ice-Burg last time we were in town. We have been looking forward to going back ever since. Somehow they make the best shakes. I had a hot fudge oreo shake and it was perfect. The food we had was good for fast food but the shake was something to dream about. They get very busy and so sometimes patience is required but it is worth it.

I haven’t been back to the Ice-Burg for almost a year now, so this review may not be entirely up to date on the happenings there, but from what I hear, and from reading the recent Unilocalings, I can see that it may not have changed much. Now, this establishment seems to have a very large fan base, but I’m still trying to come to a logical conclusion as to why that is, and why this seemingly home-town, iconic restaurant doesn’t seem to listen to the crowd pleading for a little change. I really do get the company’s drive for keeping the menu the same as it has been since the middle-ages, but there’s room for improvement without taking away the nostalgia. Now, I’ve eaten here multiple times over the past 10 years that I’ve lived in this area so I’m not a Johnnie-come-lately, but sadly, I’ve always been disappointed to some degree. First, everything that is prepared, has been trucked in by a food service supplier that will remain unnamed. Second, there’s almost no asking for any customizations. Oh, you don’t want onions? Well, you’re getting ‘em anyway. Don’t want your meat patty turned into jerky? Sorry, that’s just the way they do it. Don’t care for sweet relish? Then don’t forget to kindly ask them to skip it(and check your burgers if you’re taking them to go) because you’ll find that your burger has been turned into a generously slathered relish sandwich. Third, as others have said as well, the wait times are pushing to the point of ridiculous. Who knew it could take 30 minutes to prepare two sandwiches, two orders of fries and a couple shakes, all while there’s not another customer in sight. Lastly, the prices need some help. I don’t mind paying good money for well-deserving fair, but when you’re charged nearly $ 30 for two meals from a burger stand, made to wait an obscene amount of time for«fast» food, and you still walk away feeling disappointed, then, in a way, you feel cheated out of what could have been a great experience. This may have seemed like a big, negative rant, and that very well may be what it is, but I still have to give respect to this place as they’ve managed to keep their doors open for so long, and I’m sure they will continue to keep them open as long as the unsuspecting customers keep coming. I will say that they have great shakes, but those too are extremely overpriced for being made from soft serve ice cream. $ 3.50 for a 12 ounce shake? Maybe I’m a tight wad, but overall this place has left nothing but a bad taste in my mouth. Literally. If this is the place for you and you love everything about it, then I’m glad you do. As for me, I’ll be a couple blocks over at Fast Eddie’s where the food is great, service is fast and friendly, and while the prices are the same, you just really can’t put a price on quality.

Great milkshakes, mediocre burgers, tasty fries if you’re coming here for the shakes or fries, solid 4 stars. i’ve had better burgers elsewhere unfortunately(might even argue carls jr. has better burgers though to be fair carl’s jr. does have pretty good burgers). oh, and pretty slow service so make what you will of that. keep in mind its a small place though and its not a fast food restaurant.

Salted caramel chocolate milkshake. OMGTODIEFOR! Wish their burgers were grass fed… I’d probably buy more than milkshakes. The appearance needs some help but I’m usually there for a milkshake and don’t really care ;) Friendly, fast… Locally owned.

Burger patties were cooked too long– very dry and thin. Fries were tasty and crisp. Long wait, so be prepared to sit around.

Marshmellow-oreo-mint milkshake… yum! That’s one thing I love about Ice-Burg — they have a TON of different milkshake flavors, and you can mix whatever ones you want! :) No to mention they always taste AMAZING. I always get the grilled cheese, and sometimes the fries, because I love their fry-sauce. Their food is delicious, and they are almost like a «landmark» in Walla Walla. I didn’t give them a whole five stars though, because they don’t have much good outdoor seating(and no indoor seating), and they usually take a pretty long time to make your food. Also, the people working there aren’t always the friendliest. Despite the cons, everyone I know loves Ice-Burg food, and it’s a fun, yummy, local place to eat! Try it out! :)

Took our girls here yesterday while we were in town to show them our old stomping grounds. The burgers, onion rings & shakes were as good as I remember them! The problem? The service! We arrived at 11:25 to find that they didn’t open until 11:30. We decided to stand outside of the window & wait. 11:30 rolled around and no one helped us, although there were a lot of workers in there staring at us! They started taking orders from the drive through though! Finally, at 11;40, «Austin» poked his head out the window and said«do you guys want something?» Seriously? Why did he think we were standing there? Each time Austin talked to me he called me «missy», like I am 12 or something. This did not help anything! We ordered our food & then waited. When we got our order, we were missing a burger. My husband went back to let them know & they argued with him that we never ordered it! Finally, he came back and said they needed to talk to me since I ordered. I went up and they said I did not order 3 burgers and if I wanted another burger I needed to pay for it. I know for a fact I ordered 3 because my friend who was with me said she heard me order it & they had it written down! By this time I was really ticked! We waited forever for them to open while they laughed at us standing out there. Then were mocked by asking if we needed something, degraded by being called«missy», then made to pay for their mistake on the order!!! Let me tell you, the burgers are not good enough to justify the abuse you will endure to get them! Take your business elsewhere!!!

Good burgers, great shakes, and a nice homey feel to it made this a fun spot to stop in while I was living in W2. The burgers are quite good, I recall ordering a cheeseburger and devouring it quickly. The fries were crispy and pretty basic, nothing to call home about. The milkshakes, however, took it to another level. I ordered a Reese’s shake and it was thick, milky, creamy, and chock full of Reese’s. Yum yum yummy. The service is slow as molasses, so just know that going in. My roommate said to always add 20 minutes to your time there, which was good advice. I don’t know why they’re so slow, but I’ll take it as part of their thing. I certainly recommend a visit for a burger and shakes if you’re in the area. I’m giving three stars because the wait time did bug me, but the staff was pretty friendly and it’s consistent on their part to move a bit slowly. The food is worth a 4!

Corndog(Quickie Dog) was lacking in the corn taste. Average price of a meal per person too high. I could have gone to a sit down restaurant and paid a tip for the price of my meal. My fries came out warm but under seasoned. I left hungry and in disappointment. I will not return. No free refills on your soda after you spend $ 30 there. Wow nice establishment. I don’t need to support this business.

Heard so many great things about this place and was so disappointed! Waited 30+ minutes for our food. There was 4 people standing around doing nothing while 2 worked. Our food was dry, Luke warm and nut that good. Well not go there again.
