Every time we come to Walla Walla we finish up our trip with Bacon and Eggs. A new(even better) location this year. I always think I’ll branch out and try something new, then their Eggs Benedict sing their Siren’s song and I can’t resist. Luckily my husband always tries new things so I get to sample other dishes. Everything is yummy. And, the staff seems happy to see us, such a welcome change after last night’s dinner at Saffron. We love our Bacon and Eggs tradition.

Stopped for breakfast and tried the chilequiles with a side of guacamole. They were delicious. Service qas great and the ambiance is very nice and clean. I wasnt a fanofthe coffee but would come back and try an espresso drink next time. They have free wifi as well so its a good spot to get some work done if you want to sit at the bar.

The mocha here is amazing! House-made chocolate & whipped cream… How can you go wrong! Drank 2… Thank you Michelle! Loved Bloody Mary as well with the homemade pickled asparagus… More, please! Papa Pastores potatoes was delicious, as was the French toast… Amazing!

Came here twice for Mothers Day Weekend. New location since we were last there, and wow. Wow. This place is amazing. The service, the food, the location, is as good as it gets for breakfast. They are always packed. Seriously, line out the door packed. So call before you go, like the week before and make a reservation. We had, over the two days, French Toast, Chorizo and eggs, Hash browns, sides of Bacon, pancakes, you name it. All excellent. Hot and made fresh, huge portions. This is the only place to have breakfast. Period.

As always, the Ladies at Bacon and Eggs do not fail to deliver. After months of dreaming about the Lox Benedict I have my spot at the bar and a plate of awesomeness in front of me. The salmon is fresh, bright and generous, dripping with a fantastic sauce that’s so good I want to pour it on my body and lick it off… Is it wrong to want to motorboat these two fluffy mounds of poached egg delight? My life is complete, marry me, any of you… please?! See you all again soon. All elaborating aside, best breakfast in the area, bring a friend but skip the big groups, cut the wait and get the full experience, They have built a great place with a wonderful sense of family and friendship. Enjoy

2 hours from the time we checked in until we were served. Food was wrong, late and somewhat inedible… Service was painfully slow… Cannot recommend.

Five for breakfast on Sunday morning. We had a reservation, and were immediately seated among an ocean of waiting walk-ups. Friendly servers took our orders which were simple, off-the-menu items. Sixty minutes later, plates began to appear. First served member of the party had finished breakfast before the last meal was served. Ironically, an order of two buttermilk pancakes arrived dead last, and ice cold. What would have been perfect Eggs Benedict were both over-cooked and also cold. Gravy kept the biscuits lukewarm. Looking around at the throng of patrons and relatively small kitchen, I was glad to have ordered lox on a bagel which was great, and did not have to be thermally hot. Ambitious menu, pleasant staff, and leisurely pace rate good marks, but the haphazard delivery of orders, cold food, and ridiculously long wait time are causes for lower scores. What would have been sure winners in terms of flavor and quality were losers due to timing issues. Sincerely, Andy Gregg, Vancouver, WA

The service and drip coffee were the highlights of our meal there. Food was under-seasoned and very forgettable. The cheesy grits were just downright bad– bland, not cheesy tasting and strange texture. The restaurant has a cool atmosphere, but a long wait if you don’t get there when it opens. We had high hopes for this restaurant because it was highly recommended by friends, but were sadly disappointed.

Tried this place for the 3rd time… keep wanting it to be better than it is. Service has always either down right sucked or been marginal. This trip was no different. Stood waiting to even be acknowledged by the staff for about10 minutes as wait staff swirled by. And no – it wasn’t a busy weekend. Not even a ‘with you in a minute glance’ was thrown our way. When we were finally seated, the table was tiny and about 3 inches from other diners on either side. It was loud and uncomfortable. So far, not so good. My husband ordered eggs Benedict. The Hollandaise was good, but there was only about 1 teaspoon on each egg — skimpy, skimpy, skimpy. And the hash browns(using that term loosely) were downright ugly. More like blackened mashed potatoes than HB’s. I had Huevos Rancheros. It’s served with a big pile of lettuce? The beans on the side, the salsa on the side. No cheese. What??? I can dig deconstructed but it just sucked the life out of this dish. Even the $ 9 watery Bloody Mary couldn’t save the meal. It was about as complex as Kraft Mac N Cheeze. The food just doesn’t warrant the price, the atmosphere or the wait. For those ‘lovers’ of this place… perhaps you should get out into the world a bit and taste some truly great b-fast food that also comes with great service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. No need to go back. $ 50 for a so-so breakfast? Three strikes… Bacon and Eggs… you’re out!

It had been over a year since we had been to Bacon and Eggs for breakfast, and my wife and I wanted to try their new location. She ordered the brioche french toast with nutella and bananas. It was as tasty as we remember from the last time. I got the huevos rancheros. The scrambled eggs were overcooked, possibly reheated, and the rest of the dish was so-so. Maybe the other dishes are better. As for the new location, it was noisy and the tables were close together. I found it hard to hear my wife across the table, although I could easily hear the conversations on either side of me.

So nice of the owner to offer a free meal, but I didn’t feel it was necessary. We went in for the last time today. I was craving those eggs benedict again(they really are made well here), but I’m on a low carb regimen and so asked if I could substitute the hash browns and english muffin for something low-carb. Wait staff said sure, how about fruit? I assumed I’d get some melon and/or cantaloupe and said sure. Meals came out and the fruit is mostly high-sugar/high-carb(apples, oranges), but was very pretty. I ate the four thin slices of honeydew and got the rest to take home to my kid. Not a big deal, not everyone is an expert on low carb eating. The low star is because when I asked for the substitute, there was no mention that I would be charged extra, but the bill came back with an extra $ 1.50 tacked on to the $ 12.50 for the eggs benedict meal. I’m not stingy, but hashbrowns are $ 3 on the side menu and toast is $ 1.50(I didn’t get the English muffins remember), so why on earth did they feel the need to charge me more for a few slices of fruit? If someone asks for a substitute, the implication is that it is a one for one barter with no extra charge. If you are going to add to the cost of the meal, give people notice. Say, «there will be a $ 1.50 charge for the fruit substitution,» so I can say, «oh, well, then no thanks.» Finally, husband got the BLT and the bacon was again tough and over salted. Second time he couldn’t finish his meal due to taste. And the service was unexceptional again — we had to wait a while between the time we were ready to leave, and when a server(not our own) came over to get a box for us and clear our plate, and then for our server to get us the bill. Sorry, but we won’t be back.

Fantastic! Had the lox eggs and B. Just be warned if you get the pancakes, they charge $ 1 extra for more syrup!

My favorite breakfast spot in Walla Walla, or really just about anywhere. Most of the complaints about B&E relate to the wait. There’s a reason, the food is great and the word is out. The other complaint I read recently was about pretentious clientele. Okay, maybe I am, but this is still darn good food. It starts with the coffee. Where’s it from exactly? Stumptown if you ask. To my taste it’s a perfect breakfast blend, and there’s plenty of refills. If you are so unfortunate as to have to wait for a table, you might have within sight some of the fresh baked goods for the day, such a fresh pear scone, or perhaps a savory one. Salivate over that for a while and you’ll remember to make reservations next time. And just hope there’s at least one scone left when you are finally seated. Sadistic methinks. What’s to like: biscuits and gravy are a fine choice, as the biscuits are crisp on the outside and pillowy soft within. The white sausage gravy tastes peppery and right. Chilaquiles are a big bowl of Mexi-goodness with a mild but tasty chile sauce. Huevos rancheros are another treat, but you can’t really go wrong here. There are several varieties of eggs Benedict, and your standard bacon and eggs gets an upgrade with thick slices of smoky bacon and perfectly cooked eggs. Bagel and lox? Delicious, served with a side of fruit. Shrimp and grits? Forrest Gump would approve. Brunch is a respected tradition here, with a full bar and a fine selection of morning cocktails to brighten your day, or perhaps carry over from the evening. Either way, it’s a fine place for a morning libation.

I was delighted to visit Bacon & Eggs on my recent trip to Walla Walla, my favorite small town in America. My friend and I arrived around 9:30 on a Tuesday and waited about five minutes for an outside table to be bussed, so no issue with that. I can see how this would fill up though on weekends at peak time. We started with coffee, and I was glad to have some Stumptown in my life after missing out on making the pilgrimage while I was in Portland. So, there was some redemption there. We shared the Migas and Papas Pastores, both were delicious. I prefer savory breakfasts, so I was very pleased with the offerings on the menu. The flavors melded well, particularly in the Migas, and the salsas were very fresh and bright. Delicious. Our server was friendly and checked up on us at well-timed intervals. I would definitely visit again and can’t wait to try more of their breakfast offerings.

There is a reason there is a line out the door when they open at 8 a.m. Everything about it is wonderful. Let’s start with making a reservation. A must unless you want to wait. Their location on Main Street is ideal. The food: coffee is Stumptown, always good. Hot chocolate was made with milk and chocolate. We have the hue some chorizo, French toast and bacon. While some might call the service slow, I enjoyed lingering over my coffee. The food is well worth the attention it gets in the kitchen. I’d go again if I ever find myself in Walla Walla in the future

Line out the door and a 20 min wait for a two top, and now I know why! Our meal was fantastic! I started with coffee and ½ OJ ½ Grapefruit juice(recovery drink). My boyfriend got the huevos con chorizo and I got the special which was eggs Benedict with bacon and asparagus. O.M.G. the hollandaise sauce changed my life. I was tucking into my plate when they brought my second egg and muffin! So much food! And so delicious. Great reviews on the chorizo scramble as well. Only confusing part was there were two giant tables that sat empty the entire time we ate but there was a line out the door. Maybe they were for reservations??? But sat empty for an hour! Service was great, we sat at the bar. Cute little restaurant and not at all a greasy spoon!
