Applebee’s

should be called Crapplebee’s. I mostly do the to go after coming home from work because i don’t get home until late. The parking lot of the A&P smells great since Applebee’s is right there. but smells are deceiving. While the food smells good and if you are lucky enough to get it hot, it tastes okay. But it’s not. Every time my family and I get food from there all of us are hit with horrendous stomach issues. I don’t know if the food they serve is just cooked in that much grease or they throw MSG in it, but it’s bad. I think i learned my lesson last time.

Service was slow. Drinks sucked and had no alcohol in them. Food came out cold. Very disappointed.

I ordered their nachos that was supposed to have chili, cheese, etc.
When I received the nachos, I could not see any chili and called the waiter over to tell him. He told me it’s mixed in underneath. Tried looking underneath the chips but it was all chips. I called back a different person & told her what happened with the waiter & my order. She took the food and said she would bring it back to the kitchen. When she saw the manager, she told him about the order and he apologized to me & said it would be coming out soon. He came back to see if there was enough of chili on top. Well, there was a lot of chili when it came out but it didn’t have enough cheese, etc. By this time I was tired from packing for a move and didn’t bother to have them come back again to take it back a second time. Anyway, this Applebee’s nachos is thumbs down. The people are friendly & polite but the food needs to be better well prepared and no cutting corners to have repeat customers. Oh, and the drink prices are very expensive to purchase from their menu too. Could not enjoy myself.

Burgers are very good. Service is great @ bee bar. Half price apps are well worth it. Good selection of draft beer. Entertainment occasionnally. Nice spot.

Food was cold when it came out and the hamburger was as red as blood. Bad experience

Okay first off, hellllll no!!! Get outta here! You people call this a restaurant? This is absolutely the worst and I mean THE WORST APPLEBEE’S I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! We had to wait 5 minutes before actually someone at the front showed up and actually seated us. It was sort of cool in there, not too bad. Okay so I was with my girl and we just wanted to share something light cause we weren’t staaaarrrving but we were feeling a bit hungry. So we thought «hey, ya know let’s just get something light, like that thai salad last time we got!»
Her: «Oh yeahhh, like that other Applebee’s back up in North Jersey! They gave us a HUGE salad last time!»
Me: «Ahhhh yeahh SO MUCH FOOD, WE COULDN’T even finish it! I’m for it let’s do it!»
Okay so we got the large/​regular size, which came in a large bowl, when it came, it was the smallest $ 13 salad I had ever seen. For crying out loud I could have gotten more salad at WaWa or even Salad-​Works for $ 6.99.
The thai salad, hands down is BEAST! BUT WHAT… WHERE THE HELL IS THE REST OF THE SALAD?
SCREW THIS! NEVER COME TO THIS APPLEBEE’S AGAIN! JUST NO!
By the wayszzles our waitress just really sucked more than you could forever suck on the world’s biggest lollipop or popsicle that you would just have to keep sucking, THATS HOW MUCH IT SUCKED!
Spend your money somewhere else everyone! Trust me! Save you the troubles!

So we keep saying we are never coming to this Applebee’s again and we keep giving them chance after chance. Well… after last Friday night, I can say for sure, we will NEVER EVER be back. 1^st visit = hair in my food, 2^nd visit = burnt pizza off the children’s menu for my daughter, 3^rd and final visit = realization that they can not cook a steak properly after my steak comes out twice way overcooked after asking for it medium rare.

Sitting here now waiting for our check… After we just waited 50 mins for cold food. We watched 3 tables that came in after us get their food and leave. Horribly slow service, the waitress didn’t seem to care. And the manager stood clueless in the corner staring off to no where.

So yeah it’s an Applebee’s, no one is really expecting much, my date and I went there because the wait at River Rock was 45 min and the place was packed and Applebee’s was the next decent place we saw. So a very pretty purple haired girl named Lauren opened the door for us and was super friendly as was the rest of the hostess staff. Our server came right away, suggested some drinks and came right back with them. We ordered and it came super fast which was great. The food was decent not bad considering its a chain. Most of these places are run of the mill but this Applebee’s has a Bee Bar which is a separate bar area, there was live music on this Friday night and this bar has several more beers on tap then any others Applebee’s because as our server William told us they bought the place from another bar and grill and they inherited the extra taps and a carry out license! This is the only Applebee’s to have a carry out license. They have growlers and everything. Wednesday nights they have trivia. It’s a pretty cool place as far as chains go. Can’t beat the prices and super friendly staff. William was a great server and should be commended on his service and his dedication to his company because he is very knowledgable about the Applebee’s brand and we enjoyed hearing about it. I’ll definitely be back.

Dinner was as good as expected from an Applebees. Food isn’t great, service is so so. But it’s inexpensive with decent atmosphere. I did try the steak that someone else ordered and it was gross. Stick with the chicken or a salad.
The Applebees in Tinton Falls is better.

Ehh… It’s an Applebee’s. It is inexpensive and tasty but nothing special. They have cheap beer and show ufc’s here so if you want to watch some fights this is a great place to go. Overall the place seems pretty clean and well managed. Sometimes I wish that Unilocal had a 1 – 10 or a half star system because three out of five seems low to me for this place. But as they are consistently good but never really great, that’s what they get.
The phrase that I believe sums this place up perfectly is «par for the course»

I love the food but this restaurant is the worst smelling place I have ever been. Every time I come here it smells like they wipe the tables with dirty rags. Yuck! I probably won’t be back.

Food is always good; however, the service stinks! Every time we go in there, it takes forever to be recognized. We always wait at least ten minutes for a server and they never check in to see if everything is okay. Sometimes I have to stop what I am eating to wait for the server to come back so I can ask for a refill on my drink because the buffalo wings can be spicy!

I sometimes think that people who live in New York and in close proximity to the five boroughs are spoiled by culinary excesses of chef-​driven restaurants. Therefore they tend to look down at chains such as Applebee’s considering them perhaps low class. However I happen to like chains very much, and recently I’ve been a regular visitor to various Applebee’s.
To start with, I really like the menu. I think there is enough variety for all kinds of tastes. Calorie count is posted next to items, and there are plenty of yummy selections for health freaks. Since I am not one, at a one recent visit I tried their baby back ribs and I was absolutely hooked. I think every components of the meal, including french fries and coleslaw is delicious. I also happen to really like Angry Orchard Hard Apple Cider.
Speaking of the menu, the drinks and desserts printout is a testament to American marketing genius. Cocktails of various colours in martini glasses look irresistible on pictures. I actually caught myself thinking of going to a chain restaurant for dinner mainly for having one of those fancy creations. How can one not order a bottle of beer with their meal when they are pictured on ice and already opened?
In pretty much all Applebee’s locations service is predictably friendly and efficient and food quality is consistently good. In addition it’s a great value: a bill for me and my wife rarely exceeds $ 40 after taxes and tips. In my opinion Applebee’s deserves an honorary title as a Great American Chain Restaurant.

One of the best Applebees around. The staff is well trained and always pleasant and helpful. Their are two other Applebees in my area but I make it a point to drive out of my way if I ever get in the mood for their food!
The late night appetizers and beer specials are unbeatable and the amount of viewing equipment they have lining the walls is quite impressive. The place to be during football season, happy hour all sunday long!

The food was decent but very poor service!
Our waitress took forever and a year to come get our order, bring our food, bring our check, etc. We also had to ask her for silverware twice. Ordered a lunch special with shrimp pasta and a salad. The shrimp fettuchine was cold when it came out. The salads we ordered were good, a spinach shrimp salad and a ceasar. The tortilla soup was good but had too much of a kick to it for my mom. The roast beef sandwich was good.
I would go again, but hopefully would not get the same server.

I went to this applebees a few months ago. they seated my family and i and we sat for almost 15 minutes and no one came to our table, so we got up and left. i called and complained to the manager and he said he would comp us a meal. we never received anything, i will never go to applebees again

My recent 2^nd visit to this restaurant was a marked improvement! The service was far better than it was previously. Very attentive!
