Stopped in solo for a few drinks. Great spot, nice people, the bartender who was the only one there when I went was quick, nice, friendly and made me feel very welcome considering I was an obvious or out of towner. Would love to have eaten because food looked good but I was already fed prior to getting there.

A great local spot, hanging out in Walkersville. Friendly service, not always the fastest but it’s been reliably good for years. Good fries and decent burgers

Prime rib special for $ 20. Amazing cut of meat, cooked through, marinated with a bit of salt. I am shocked at how much I enjoyed that meal. I’ve come here many times with my grandfather and always thought the place was a bit tacky. I stand corrected.

Food is awesome, I absolutely love their ranch sauce, dune fries are so good as well as the crab dip! Staff not bad, could be friendlier! Wish they’d open on Sundays!!!

My first impression is that it’s a great place for a group to hang out and have a good time. The drinks are certainly generous! We were there after work, and I’ll definitely go back. The food is tasty, but pretty much all of the really-filling-and-not-particularly-healthy variety: burgers, fries, onion rings, etc. Pub food, priced a little on the high side for the atmosphere, I thought. The Maryland crab soup is a little thin but quite flavorful. One friend had the grilled cheese deluxe, which looked unique: Swiss and American cheeses with grilled mushrooms, tomatoes, onions and green peppers on grilled sourdough bread.

What a lucky find! We were on our way to ride the Walkersville Railroad for my grandmother’s 95th birthday and needed a place to grab a bite to eat… with 9 other friends and family members. They sat us right away and the waitress was polite and attentive. The food was tasty and came in no time at all which worked wonderfully with our tight schedule. We all had a great experience at the Village Tavern on that fine Saturday afternoon.

Thought I did a review on here years ago, but maybe not, though I’m sure I did. Been eating here for years. My father ha been drinking here for years. Usually I have either the burger or the special when they do crab cakes. Always a big fan of the food. Last visit was two weeks ago and had a bacon cheeseburger which was as good as always.

An ok neighborhood pub if you just want a sandwich or drinks but the dinner entrees are over-priced for the quality. The dune fries are great, and come with a tasty side of ranch. They also serve one of the best Rubens I’ve ever had. On the bad side, the crab cakes are awful. tried them tonight for the first time. undercooked, runny inside, just a few bits of lump crabmeat, which was over-powered by the taste of bell peppers. Sorry, but bell peppers just don’t belong in crab cakes! And for over $ 20 expected much better. Would have complained but we were in a hurry and service was slow. And speaking of their service, it’s normally pretty good but our server tonight seemed tired and distracted. Not very attentive and took much too long to get our bill. We live about a half mile from this place and rarely go as we feel it’s worth driving a few miles to get better food at better prices. Will go back once in a while for those Rubens, dune fries, and Yuengling on tap but that’s about it.

This is a favorite local place to dine for my grandmother, and my grandfather until he passed away. We always go when visiting, and the wait staff knows my grandmother and chats. They’re friendly and accommodating. Anyone who treats my grandmother well is good in my book! The food’s also always yummy. They have a standard tavern sort of menu, but with some nice surprises — the salmon crowns were my grandfather’s favorite, and I can agree. My mouth is still watering thinking about the Reuben I had last week — chunks of sliced corned beef, not lunch meat. Mmmmm.
