We went in May 2011. After reading the reviews on many web sites about how good the food is, we decided to give it a try. I can usually deal with an ok décor if the food makes up for it. The first thing we noticed when we walked in is the entire place stinks to high heaven of cigarette smoke. We almost left, but we decided to stay. The place could use a good cleaning. We sat by the window and the glass had not been cleaned in a while. The walls were nicely painted, but the electric panel overs were falling off and — don’t look up — the ceiling titles were, nasty. You are most likely asking yourself — why didn’t they leave. My daughter ordered Birch Beer, which is listed on the menu, but they were out. No problem. She got Sprite instead, my husband ordered a Diet Coke(waiter came back to say they had Diet Pepsi). No problem. I got a glass of Pino Grigio. The salads were fresh with a light red vinegar dressing. Very good. The bread was a seasoned froccia bread, hot. Also, very good. I orderd the meat lasagna, my husband got the Shrimp, Scallop, Saugsage — New Orleans dish, and my daughter got the Pot Roast. My Lasagna was huge(brought half home) and excellent. We make it at home and have high standards, so I did not expect it to be so good — but it was. My husbands dish was also very good — spicy. He wished the shrimp did not have the tails on, but otherwise good. My daughters dish was good to, however, the mashed potatoes had no taste — like instant made with just water. After one bite, she skipped the rest. That being said, the meat in her pot roast was tender and yummy. I believe the veggies were frozen or from a can(versus fresh), which was disappointing for the cost of the dish(I think it was around $ 20 for dinner). Overall I would say the food was very good. However, I do not ever plan to return because the place smelled so bad and I started to worry what the kitchen must look like, if the rest of the place(i.e., ceiling) looked so bad. Now we know.

This is a terrific Iittle restaurant with some of the best Italian food I’ve ever eaten. I think if it were located in Frederick’s historic district, it would be packed all the time. I had eggplant parmesan and bruschetta… both excellent… I think the bruschetta was the best I’ve ever had.

Great Italian food, some of the best. Small dining room, quaint atmosphere, but delightful food. I somehow have the impression that the owners are oriental, but can’t vouch for it, haha.

This tiny place had gigantic flavor. My wife ordered the sausage and peppers and I had the lasagna. The portions were large, the food flavorful and high quality. The place is a bit off the beaten path on a side street in Walkersville. It is a bit odd looking from the outside and there weren’t too many customers. Overall, good service and great food.
