Service was horrible, food was blend and the bill was outrageous. Never coming back! We were the o my people eating there. No kids menu, no juice no specials. The only waiter was embarrassed and find know what to do. We go overcharged for sides and no apologies. Bad, bad experience.

Food is terrible in my opinion, no flavor at all and the guacamole was the worst I’ve ever had. The prices are outrageous for the quality of the food. My husband and I ordered Guac and two entrees and had it delivered… may as well have thrown $ 50 in the garbage disposal bc that is where most of the food went.

Why didn’t I read Jeff H’s review before eating here? I’m sorry, you guys need to change your ways. I shouldn’t have to go in as a single and wait 1hr for burritos filled with something that resembles beef. My best guess is it was last years beef! I didn’t even try the refried beans because I almost lost a tooth biting into the rice… Yes, I was scared! Salsa is good.

By far the best Mexican restaurant in this area! We never go anywhere else. We’ve tried many mexican restaurants and have been to Mexico several times. If you want hot, delicious, authentic mexican food you MUSTEATHERE! This one is BYOB but There is another location in Riverdale now with a liquor license– best sangria! We especially love the free unlimited chips and salsa, complimentary quesadilla appetizers, and banana chimichanga dessert. Great atmosphere too! Stop eating at disgusting fake mex Blue Moon and go to Cinco de Mayo!

Just waited an hour and twenty minutes for food in a restaurant that was half full. Won’t be back.

I really dont like writing bad reviews, but WOW, the portions for the cost is off the chart wrong. You guys really need to shop your competition. When the«burritos» came to the table, it smelled like lasagna, and looked like enchiladas. When did Mexico put tomato sauce on burritos? And they were small as enchiladas… Now Bistec with poblanos was by far the biggest laugh of all. Sliced roast beef with mucho fat and gristle sliced like roast beef with stir fry peppers and onions, no Mexican seasoning to be found. OMG go to Taco Bell before here! I will NEVER darken this establishments door. 3 Chickas is 1000% better and authentic. The guacamole… did we run out of salt? And lime juice? Bland as crackers, and the crackers would have more salt than the guac. The salsa was good as well as the tortilla chips, but not enough to save this place. I am amazed that educated people would like this food, and unfriendly staff. How can you present a bill with no explaination? Item 1 Item 2 how the heck are you supposed to know what is what. For all you people that«like» this place, go find a real Mexican restaurant(3 Chickas) . And 3 dollars for a fountain drink with no refill? Talk about robbery, this was it.

Delicious food with big portions. When you eat in, they bring a cheese quesadilla before the meal and sweet chimichanga dessert on the house. BYO.

I love this place. Tried the vegetarian burritos at my last visit and was by far one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. The guacamole in them was so fresh and my black beans were amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant. Great prices and service.

This is an ok spot for mexican. Nothing special, mediocre food. I used to come here because to was cheap and close, but they raised the prices, and for what it is, I will be willing to go out of my way for a mexican treat. With the raised prices they do give you a complimentary cheese quesadilla and after dinner a complimentary fried banana. I got the enchilladas verdes, and the chicken was a little dry, and the verdes sauce really had no flavor.

Best Mexican food around the area. Recommend getting a combination platter appetizer as a meal. It’s located in a mini mall but don’t let it fool you the food is excellent. I love the enchilada with chocholate(dark) mole sauce… its as close to mexico as you can get.

Don’t let the little strip mall fool you. This hidden Mexican gem has good authentic Mexican food priced right. The enchiladas mole poblano are my favorite here. Expect a low key, laid back, über casual atmosphere great for kids or larger rowdy groups. That’s right, it’s BYOB so bring some Tequila and the host takes care of all the rest. Solid Mexican joint.

Absolutely TERRIBLE!!! Guacamole was pure onions and tomatoes. And our meal continued to get worse. I sent back my EXPENSIVE sautéed chicken mole dish(the chicken was undercooked). It was brought back to me DEEPFRIED and burnt and unrecognizable. Instead of asking for another inedible dish or fighting with the unfriendly server to take the meal of the bill. I just left and will never give them my business again.

Worst Mexican food I have ever had. Do not go here!!! The guacamole was watery, the rice was bland and the taquitos were over cooked. Do not go here if you want good food! Head over to 3 chicas for decent Mexican food.

We came here in the mood for Mexican and to give it a shot bc we always drive by, but we knew to keep our expectations lower than normal as to not be disappointed. We were disappointed. The service was absolutely awful… And there was only 1other table in the restaurant. We were completely ignored and decided to call it quits only after our appetizer as to not be further disappointed. We went over to blue moon instead and waited 30 minutes for good service and a decent meal…

This is the only close by Mexican restaurant to me so I visit every now and then. I think the side items, ie. rice and beans are both good, and so are the chips in salsa. I like that they give you a complementary dessert chimachanga and appetizer quesadilla. The problem with this restaurant is that the tacos, enchiladas, burritos and such all taste exactly the same. I don’t know why this is the case but they all taste identical. That being said, it’s not a bad spot for Mexican food but I’m slightly confused as to why all the entrée items taste identical even thought they are supposedly different.

The food here was good… not your typical chain mexican… this is a compliment. When we sat down we were served the typical chips(lightly salted and crisp) and salsa(a thin salsa not chunky, but good none the less). Prior to our lunch entrees coming out we were served a small cheese quesadilla(nice touch). I had the tamales for lunch. I thought they were pretty good. The tamales were supposedly filled with chicken but the problem was that I got about 2 oz of meat in my order… this was a bit disappointing. Now I know that tamales are not stuffed with alot of meat but it was almost all cornmeal. The red sauce on top of the tamales had good flavor. The refried beans were excellent, but the rice was very garlicky, which I found to be odd. To end off the meal the waiter brought us a deep fried tortillas with banana stuffed inside served with maple syrup, chocolate syrup & whipped cream. This was a pleasant surprise. The décor in the place looks like a fiesta with alot of color(green, white & red). They go above and beyond to make sure you know you are in a Mexican restaurant. Our server was pleasant but didn’t talk much. My entrée was served about 5 minutes before my friends platter came out. I don’t mind because I don’t like my food hot, but I know this might be an issue for other diners. When we left the waiter and another gentleman wished us well. I would come here again if I was in the neighborhood for lunch, but I would not go out of my way for dinner.

Good food, decent prices, and they deliver. I no this is also a restaurant but there take out service is worth mentioning. There portions are a good size, and even though I got it delivered they gave me a big paper bag full of warm tasty tortilla chips and salsa for free.

Food is good, more on the authentic side. The staff are very friendly and the owner is usually there. It’s BYO and the prices are very reasonable. If I’m looking for Mexican I’m usually torn between this place and Badland Tacos in Ramsey. I usually go to Badland for lunch and Cinco de Mayo for dinner.
