A coworker of mine directed me to this Restraunt and I was pleasantly pleased. The Persian/Iranian cuisine is fantabulous, and I will not hesitate to recommend this Restraunt as the spot to go too!

If they invested in décor and were closer to DC they would be millionaires. Food is awesome. However the food is pricey

I really enjoy this place. The décor is exotic, the people are friendly and attentive, and the food is good. It’s always clean and inviting. It’s an open space like many Greek restaurants, so everyone can hear your conversation. Still, it’s probably my favorite restaurant in Waldorf.

I had the chicken kabob and house kabob for lunch. Really good food! The customer service is fantastic, the waitress was super nice and knowledgeable about the food. Definitely stop by if you are in the area!

My 17 year old daughter and I dined here this evening and we were quite pleased. The ambiance is quite intimate and quaint. From the outside there’s much to be desired, as the location is almost hidden and easy to miss. Nothing special about the outside appearance at all which is too bad because this little restaurant packs a punch. My daughter and I both ordered the lamb and rice dinner which was delicious. I loved the tasty rice, the spicy sauce that came with the entrée and the delicious warm bread. The portions were not especially generous but ok. I definitely would have appreciated more lamb to go with the rice so I was a little disappointed in that. Two young people served us. They could’ve been teenagers but definitely no older than 22 and each did their best to accommodate us. I actually liked the Motown music that was playing. Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye and the Temptations played throughout our evening and it was very nice. It is very likely I’ll return.

Excellent kabobs… but the atmosphere is a bit rough for the prices. However after eating we agreed it was delicious. Definitely will be back.

The reviews are correct. Excellent food. A bit over priced for kabobs. Would recommend likely will return. However extremely poor business management to not have any House Kabob on a Friday at 630pm.

This was absolutely excellent! We came around 3pm and it was empty so our family was seated without a reservation. They do highly suggest a reservation. We have five small children and although they do not have a kids menu, they allowed the kids to split the adult meals. They were accommodating and understanding with the kids. The food was delicious! We will absolutely come back, with a reservation next time. The menu is small and is exclusively kabobs but this didn’t make it any less likely for me to return!

I placed an order for pickup and the girl was very pleasant and professional. She gave me suggestions and explained everything. Customer service was great but I’m only giving 3 starts because the food was not! Everything tasted burnt and charred

Awesome restaurant. A friend found it and I’ve come back and spread the word to my family and friends. You may pass it by, if you didn’t know how awesome the food is. The atmosphere, service, and food is first class. It’s one of my favorite restaurants. I love the chicken kabob.

Great filet and vegetables. This is my favorite place for lunch. No other place in Waldorf is like it. Friendly staff and great food.

Me and my boss were looking for a resturant to grab dinner after work. We accidentally got a flyer of the place and decided to check it out. I did not like the location, it’s very hid . We got there around 6:30 pm, from outside building does not even look like a resturant, street was too dark and i almost missed it they need better and sexier signs and billboards . We were received nicely and seated. décor is terrible. The way tables have been set, it was hard to have conversations, if you like to listen to others conversations or others to listen to yours then you might enjoy it, I did not . They serve complimentary salad, I think they should at least ask, what if somebody does not like Cesar salad ! Fortunately I am not one if those, I enjoyed it. It was fresh and we’ll served . I ordered filet mignon kabob, medium tho. Meal showed up in around 20 min, nicely arranged, smelled terrific, it was very delicious, totally recommend. They need new plates, the ones they served our food were quiet old, definitely need to be replaced. I am definitely going back, pick up only I will not stay.

Awwww this was such a cute little restaurant. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. It’s a very small restaurant but clean and the tables are spaced out. It has a very intimate vibe. Great for dates. The server pulled out my chair for me. Kudos to that young man. Such a gentleman! And he was a cutie! If I was about 12 years younger! Lol! From start to finish the service was great! My server and the other young gentlemen that was serving tables were very attentive, super nice and professional. I had the shrimp and chicken skewers and it came with rice and veggies. That rice was delicious! What do they put on it. It had a slight lemony taste to it. I loved my chicken and shrimp also. Flavorful but not overpowering. I didn’t get my chicken and shrimp spicy because the sauce was a little too hot for me. The bread that they bring out before your meal is the softest bread I’ve ever had at any restaurant. I left very full! Whew! For dessert I had the baklava, just to try it since I’ve never eaten at an Iranian restaurant… not a fan!!! It taste like cinnamony sticky plastic… if you can imagine how that tastes. Lol. I didn’t eat it so they took it off of my bill. I tried though y’all! My 4 year old didn’t hardly eat anything! She didn’t like the chicken or the rice. I wouldn’t bring a young child. They don’t have kid’s menus so bring something to keep them occupied if you’re that type of parent. I won’t bring my daughter again.

Not returning. This used to be our favorite place but they’ve gotten snooty. About 6 months ago we tried to eat here and were turned away because we didn’t have a reservation even though there were a lot of empty tables. We had an infant with us and we suspected they didn’t want to accommodate us. Today we decided to try again. I counted 9 empty tables but were turned away for Not having a reservation. Are children not allowed in your establishment? If that’s the case then advertise it.

My «honey» and i have been eating at Silver Skewers for years … It is among the best, cleanest, restaurants in Southern Maryland, without a doubt! I have to say that I am shocked over a few of the reviews(Gary P, Natalie P and Elizabeth J), so I am writing my experiences here… Whether you have the lamb, steak, house or chicken kabobs, they are all awesome — I have eaten everything on their menu multiple times! My personal favorite is the chicken. The chicken is always tender, flavorful and juicy… always cooked perfectly. The rice, veggies and salad are always fresh and delicious. I love the light olive oil & lemon dressing that is used on the salad — delicious! Honey likes the house kabobs and the chicken kabobs… he says that the iced tea here is awesome, too… This place is family owned and operated… the owner is super friendly, always polite and an awesome hostess. The same holds true of her daughter and the entire staff. Sometimes, if the restaurant gets a little busy, it may take a little while to get your food, however, you will never be unattended as the staff comes by to ensure you always have a full drink, fresh bread with tandoori on the side! And, for the taste of this food, which is freshly prepared, it is completely worth the wait! Back to Gary P, who gave this restaurant a 1 star review… I noticed that you gave Mexico Restaurant and Szechuan Garden 5 star reviews… yuck! And it appears that you, along with Elizabeth J and Natalie P, are definitely shopping price only! And, just FYI, You could have let the owner know about your concerns with the overcooked lamb — believe me, she is very concerned about her customers satisfaction and would have taken care of you! And, as for the décor, I personally do not visit restaurants for the décor… I visit for the food. And, yes, the price is a little higher at Silver Skewers, but worth every cent for this simple, fresh and absolutely delicious Persian food. BTW, try the baklava for dessert, or have them pack it up to take it home… always delicious!

Found this place through Unilocal so the wife and I wanted to give it a shot since it had such high ratings. We prefer to find the hidden gems of the community and when we saw the reviews we couldn’t resist. The tandoorie sauce was amazing. Unfortunately that’s were the good ended. My wife had the lamb skewers while I had the shrimp and fillet mignon. The amount of meat involved was much less than I would have expected for the price. My wife’s lamb was dry and bland. A little seasoning would have gone a long way. My shrimp was undercooked slightly and while it was seasoned by the spicy tandoorie sauce, it wasn’t succulent as one would expect. slightly less than mediocre in my mind. The fillet mignon was cooked perfectly but clearly was the first thing cooked as it was cool by the time I took my first bite and cold when I took my last. It was definitely the best thing we had but still, for the price I expected better. The place itself was rather drab. Hang some artwork or decorations… something. There wasn’t anything to look at except a plain wall. The chairs, while more elegant than you typical restaurant, had definitely seen better days. The wait staff was comprised of high school kids who, while being very polite and nice, we’re not very friendly or personable. All in all, I felt like they were trying to be something more than what they are and unfortunately what they are is not very good. The thing to remember when you see a 4 or 5 star rating on Unilocal…, Taco Bell has 5 stars. To be honest, I would have probably had a better dinner there.

On the expensive side but amazing. Small quaint environment, clean from what I can tell. Everything was grilled just right, nothing over our under cooked Must try the Persian tea!

The place is STELLAR! The House Kebab is mahhhhvelous, & comes with basmati rice, grilled mushroom/onion/potato/tomato/zucchini mix. Desserts to die for — ice cream all homemade, & the topper was a magnificent lemon cake with blueberries, strawberries, & chocolate syrup. Definitely a place you want to go!

Definitely one of the top restaurants in Waldorf, MD. This place takes a little on the long side to prepare their food, and they are *not open on Sundays*, but I give them full credit for a legit kabob meal. The bread is warm and the salsa for dipping is great – nice kick and spicy green sauce. The vegetables are grilled and super healthy and tasty, and their basmati rice is on point with cumin and saffron. If you’re in the area, this place is definitely worth a stop into!
